Loved watching this Spence! Glad you enjoyed it! I know how you feel, I actually came really close to meeting Oasis outside of maine rd in 96. Big limousine parked outside after the gig, me and a friend hung around trying to meet them. The limo driver said it wasn't for them. Just as my dad turned up to pick us up, the side doors of the stadium opened up and i just caught a glimpse of them coming straight towards me. Cue my dad shouting c'mon I don't have all night 😂 I had to go 😅 gutted 😢
Liam's vocals sounding in good shape. Good to see it. The Raise Your Hands song hasn't really grown on me but look forward to hearing more from the album. John Squire once bought my friends a pizza when they approached him after a gig in Belfast for an autograph.
Absolutely loved that video thanks Spencer. Liam is sounding good on the album. I saw Oasis at Earls Court in London 1996 and it still goes down as one of the best gigs i have ever been to. I hope you enjoy your trip over here.
I saw them when they supported Saint Etienne at the Glasgow Plaza in December (?) ‘93. They sounded great but the floor in front of the stage was practically empty as everyone was hanging around the bar and the outer edges of the room…it was also about four months before their first single was released.
@@neilsun2521 pretty much exactly the same, they were even ending with I Am The Walrus back then. We had first heard Oasis a few months before then as a demo of Cigarettes and Alcohol was included on one of the compilation cassette tapes that used to be attached onto the NME, so we were all quite looking forward to hearing/seeing more of them and their material…we also knew that it wasn’t going to be a waste of time and money because Saint Etienne would be well worth the train ride to Glasgow no matter what. I was also in London visiting my brothers for my 19th birthday when Supersonic was released. If my memory serves me correctly the long weekend started with the announcement of Kurt Cobain’s death, ended with my eldest brother and I walking into Camden to buy Supersonic and in between these two events, we’d gone to see Primal Scream at The Brixton Academy, with George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars as the support act…as well as going to the Saturday afternoon Rockabilly set in Dingwalls at Camden Lock. Happy days (mostly) it’s just a shame I suddenly felt really old at the realisation that it was thirty years ago.

Been at Milano's gig in Italy traveling from the other side of the planet. It was worth it. As a live band, this one is better than The Stone Roses and Oasis (any Oasis, even the real one: 94/97). Liam is today an 11 out of 10. Hope they make a second album.
If you are going on the 16th Spencer, ill buy you a pint if I see you bud. I'm going with my wife and daughter. My daughter is 19 and absolutely loves Oasis, making her dad proud! Make sure you visit Microdot creative in the city centre for all things Oasis, they even have the fireplace from the Definitely Maybe album cover on show.
Yes! I would definitely visit that Microdot store if I went to Manchester. So many Oasis collectibles, and it's run by that guy on the Morning Glory album cover!
I once saw J. Squire at his art exhibition in London. It was only a small little gallery and he was standing near the door. It was almost empty/closing. Wish I'd struck up a convo now, but couldn't think of anything to say 'bout his art at the time!
