    Just because it was replaced doesn't mean it didn't work, for example in Poland where I live it people were pretty poor but we had crazy good industralization and housing that we don't have today, all that was made through loans from other countries. It had its pros and cons

      @qwerty-p6j 16 дней назад

      @blackin4k395 It was replaced because a guy called Balcerowicz decided to do so, from then on all our factories have been sold to private companies and people can hardly buy houses. But you know, those companies are getting richer and richer while the standard of living dips down even more, GDP per capita goes up so people make a blind assumption that "yea capitalism good because arrow on chart up", in reality it's not that black and white.

    • @bramobin
      @bramobin 15 дней назад

      @@blackin4k395 so if it was more authoritarian which allowed it to survive then it wouldn't have failed? If Nazi Germany survived, then Nazism would've succeeded? Surviving doesn't mean that it's a good system.

    • @VermontRepublicCountryball
      @VermontRepublicCountryball 19 дней назад +6

      I would argue that it failed, for a truly equal system the communism preaches it should be able to hold together all ethnicities as equals without problems if it was truly successful

    • @mikitaj1
      @mikitaj1 18 дней назад +4

      Nope, Yugoslavia failed because external forces made sure that it failed, Tito managed to keep at bay the nationalism that existed (little but existed) in all 6 republics thanks to the secret services and just somewhere in Yugoslavia nationalism rose up the services secrets suffocated him, while Tito was alive no one dared to put his nose in Yugoslavia but after his death we know how it went thanks to external forces...

    • @VermontRepublicCountryball
      @VermontRepublicCountryball 18 дней назад +1

      @@mikitaj1 I will admit this is true, however, why, if communism was so successful in the region, are none of the former Yugoslavian nations communist today. Another point that could be made is that Yugoslavia was more of a socialist nation as opposed to extreme communist in terms of ideals.

      The Yugoslav economy relied on loans from the IMF (tito thought he could lend money until capitalism collapsed, which would remove the need to pay them back), as soon as those were gone, it collapsed.

      @@austrianv1nceYour claims are not very good as many Swedish companies have outsourced their industry to third world countries, and Luxembourg is dependent on countries who get their wealth that way (as the backbone of Luxembourgish economy is their banking sector), same with Switzerland Ireland's economic success is also based on tax evasion by companies from countries who indeed abuse third world countries for their economic benefit. Finland also has some large companies that benefit from third world poverty, such as Patria (arms trade) in Africa and some paper. companies in Uruguay. Hungary then is based on EU support and Austria is fed by Germany. Regarding Norway and Denmark I am not exactly sure.
