Thats a great lot of ink pens ! I am excited to watch what you come up with this year for the prompts. Are you doing the prompts or doing your own? Thanks for showing your ink haul , enjoy Inktober !
Ah, you have no idea how helpful this video is, especially for artists who are still learning a lot. I want to branch out this year and try to challenge myself and my art skills I want to participate in inktober and I had no idea where to start with supplies, so thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful! It's a fun challenge, especially if you're not used to draw with ink. I fell into it seven years ago and I've learned a lot since. It's also helped me improve my skills in general, even with other mediums. I hope you have a lot of fun.
Thank you for this review. I was looking into fountain pens the past few days but didn't come across Platinum. Just checked on amazon be and found them but the price for the seven preppy set is 50€ 😮
Yes, outside of the US, it's a bit more. For a start, though, I would recommend the Platinum desk pen. It's a good price, and even though it looks it (cheap), it often the one I go back to to draw and sketch with.
Hello I like that you have decided on something to work on, fountain pens. I think that helps streamline the daily drawing decisions so you can keep up with the schedule. I have been wanting to try drawing in fountain pens What sketchbook are you planning on using for your fountain pen drawings?
Thank you. Every year I try to plan ahead of time. I like fountain pens because they are a bit more practical, like fineliners, but more expressive, like dip pens. I'll be using a Stillman and Birn Beta series sketchbook, which is nice and thick. This paper does have a slight grain, but since I'm probably going to do some ink washes from time to time, it will work great all around, kind of like a mixed media paper. If you want something smoother, the Zeta series is very nice too. Have fun with this year's challenge!
This year I decided to record whichever process I can and use digital ink brushes only to improve ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 😊 Already made my video too 😊 Your haul is soooo nice too 😊
Looking forward to seeing what you do with all these fun supplies during Inktober!
Lots of ink drawings coming up, hehe! I can't wait. Are you going to participate again this year?
@@Sandrinesgallery yes, I am, even though I don't really have time for it. I can't resist!
Your 2023 inktober sounds exciting! i hope you enjoy it 😊
I hope so too!
Wow, I love fountain pens too but this year Inktober I'll be using my dip pen.
That's what I was going to do, but then fountain pens happened, hehe! I'm still using the dip pen a little.
