- The aorta is the largest blood vessel of the body that carries blood from the heart to the other parts of the body. The most common disease of the aorta is Aortic Aneurysm and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. Senior citizens, diabetic patients, and people who smoke are more prone to this disease. Stomach pain, back pain, a rupture in the aorta are some of the symptoms. It can be diagnosed through sonography.
