Great tutorial...I have an Ampex ATR 102 & I'm thinking of getting an external remote for it but I'm not sure how to hook it up. Does it plug into a card or a pre existing plug in
I wonder can it be adjusted to use VHS tapes? Cause SM900 is too expensive. That was a joke about VHS on $17k rig. But it seems its headblock is only an available option for hobbyists who'd like to build a 1/2" machine from scratch. And ATR-104 of course

Very cool. The Tape Project has several great tapes for these.
Yup, I have a few Tape Projects in my collection, wish they were still adding titles.
Definitely a machine I would like to add to my collection someday.
😎👍
Go for it! There’s a lot available right now.

Your machine has to have a plug in for remote, it doesn’t plug in to a card.
