    Got a pair of hubs from tascam ninja. Fixed old wobbly issue. On my machine , with the set screw all the way down on shaft flat spot , my reel bed was 1.5 mm to high. had new hubs milled down 1.5mm on reel bed end and was able to get back good as new.

    I had to get those parts machined from scratch. I remember I was very perplexed about such a high end device having parts made out of what I assumed was very low grade pot metal.

    Thank you so much for making this video! Definitely could not save my TSR-8 without this info. Do you have a link to the Dominican eBayer selling the fabricated bushings?

      Glad the video is helping. Yes, the Dominican seller actually has a bushing right now, but it's the 3340. Just cut the tip off and it will work fine. The machined aluminum TSR-8 custom bushings are very rare, I only found that one. Hopefully someone will machine more soon. The ebay seller is "treasuresforparts"

    hi i am in first names with this tascam man there's a big waiting list for parts i have the tooling to make the part
    if i was to put 40mm bar stock in the unit i can make a re sell it and make alot of money
    i picked up a deck like you have here when i have more time i run some of like to a big yes to J out there
