- Cardi B showed a mask that she makes at home on Tiktok. I decided to make it and give it a try since her hair looked very healthy! I changed one ingredient since I have low porosity hair, my hair responds better to deep conditioning with heat. Let's see how this goes!

I leave out the egg as well. I use fresh aloe vera leaf as a substitute. My hair loves this mask and it gives my hair volume and bounce.

IDK about Cardi B, but I used avocado, banana, avocado oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and cholesterol, and an egg and when I tell y'all my 4a/b hair has been thriving!

I SLEEP in my mask once a month. It made my 4Z hair so SOFT and manageable. Im able to wash my hair once a week!!!!! 😉

No disrespect I feel people are going crazy that cardi did this mask like it’s a new thing to the natural hair game this recipe has been around for years!!! The OG’s of RUclips been doing this but now that a celebrity doing it people jumping on the bandwagon not meaning you bri cause your a RUclips OG 🥰 I just want people to give an acknowledge the real OG’s that started this on period.
Yesss OGs know this is a classic combo, I did a similar mask on my channel back in 2015 😉 but it’s nice to try classic DIYs again. Glad more people are finding it useful. Lord knows this mask was a staple in school when I was on a tight budget lol (grabbing bananas from the dining hall walking out like 👀) 😂

April Denise, Totally agree. This mask preceded RUclips as well. I am from the Caribbean and I have been doing this for over 30 years.
I honestly don’t see the issue. Putting avocados in hair has been around since way before the natural hair community became a thing. Cardi was just showing what she does, which inspired some people who never used this kind of diy as well as people that used to but fell off. The Og’s (love them) didn’t actually start this. They got it from somewhere as well. Of course more people are going to start doing it when a well know celebrity does because she has more exposure than youtubers do. Just helping more people.
@Naiki Neshae Caribbean people been doing this for years so it makes sense that Cardi does it since her parents are Caribbean!

I used 2 avocados, some mayo (not too much) an egg argan oil, coconut oil and avocado oil. My 4a curls used to FRIZZ their so pretty i like to do it once a week 👍🏽

Hey there! I use this mask all the time! It’s so good! If you want to preserve/save it, put it in a container and freeze it! It should last you two months!

I definitely love avocados, honey, oils and aloe Vera in my homemade mask but bananas just sit on my hair and the Mayo I may not try again 😬.
