you can get only what you need in package free shopping, but you are paying much more than if you would have bought the whole package in the other store, and thrown 3/4 to the trash can..... Thats something that just isn't right with those stores. For example Flour. Regular package in a store: about 75 centl for 1kg. Package free store: 4.5 € for 1 kg. so yeah, you just need 1/2 kg, just grab 1/2. But why? 1/2 still costs waaay more than 1kg from the regular store, and you can repackage and store those things at home in jars....everybody should have food for at least 2 weeks at home (in cases of emergencies), so .. i don't get the point of buying small packages of only what you need for one meal.
I definitely agree there should be more options for the cost to be lower if not comparable to standard shopping, I'm not sure if it's because of the product quality difference or what other factors really impact for the costs to be what they are? I think the experiment for me was also looking at why is this the way we shop now and seeing what other possibilities there are. In general packaging sizes in Vienna are small compared to American standards (I remember a glass of apple sauce or a carton of milk felt sooooo small to me, like it was 1-4 times use) - so here it does feel more like you go grocery shopping more often during the week then you do in the states for example. So maybe that's a bit of a shopping style difference in general. I would love a 'bulk' version of this that is cheaper!
Also if you live alone or two or even with the little todler... DO NOT NEED a months wort of a food. and get a bit of the HEALTHY walk and get the mind to relax by the time get to the store, or after.So it is GOOD IDEA for to PLEASE EVERY ONE and EVERY TASTE and EVERY NEED and it is good even for does who sell it in the small quantity like in the coffee shop where it comes maybe from just from somebodies gardern and it is not for the money making but it someone need it like that - just a frew Big families is better off to shop in the Market the sesonal food (as God created for to grow at certain time) and/or in the supermarket is cheaper alternative for them
@@SameraAbroad If there is an infaltion is a fact and with out that just generarly during the freedom time as it was before like 30 -40 years ago there were not so many tourist who always put the price up no matter what, and we are all tourinst in some point and that should be put in the mind to not to OVERDO TOURISM in any country
