If you ever want to try it again, the hair should be the length of a grain of rice, anything shorter or longer will not come out easily. You need a thin smooth layer of the wax otherwise it gets clumped and pulls apart. Places like armpits are warmer so keep the room cool and move quickly. My last tip is to pull the skin tight to prevent skin ripping.

Hey! I just wanted to let you know part of the issue could've been that the product was used wrong and the hair wasn't at the correct length. In other videos, like Stuff Labs review of it, they show that you should hold the wax on the skin for 10 seconds and then smooth the wax 3 times over the skin before flicking. I thought it might be helpful to know since you probably still have wax at home. It may be worth looking at some other videos first and then trying it again. I don't use the product. I'm looking into using it so I've looked at quite a few videos and it seems most of the ones where it didn't work the hair was too long or the technique was incorrect.

Honey u are doing wrong. I highly recommend to watch the videos again and I think it melted very quickly on u which it didn’t help to remove it. But I truly respect and appreciate ur honest opinion on this video! 🥰

Waxing yourself takes trials and error. Sugar waxing is a little different from regular waxing. When you flick, it looks like you are flicking in an upward direction. You want to flick more in the direction of the hair growth. Also, that powder is your best friend. Waxing will cause some people to sweat, but it’s important to use the powder to soak up that sweat because wetness will cause the sugar wax to deteriorate. Also, do it near a fan or ac vent to keep cool if you have to. Lastly, you have to hold that skin taut. GIRL!!! I am so happy that the wax wasn’t holding together properly in your underarm area because if it was, the pain you would experience😩 it would probably have taken a layer of skin as well. Hope you will do some more research and try again because I do prefer sugar wax over regular waxing. But, I’m tired of making my own and want to purchase some. Please try again because maybe the wax isn’t stabled enough and that will be very informative for us who are considering to buy this brand.

I have been cooking my own sugar wax since 2013 and it used to work really well for me.
Watching your video because lately I started to get really frustrated with how different it cooks at home every single time!!!
Gas stove vs. Electric stove, the type of pot that you use (thickness of it specifically) the time you cook it for etc.
I moved a lot so the stove and cooking conditions keep changing and you have to keep testing it out.
I don’t know something is just not clicking for me these days, you have to be very accurate with how you cook it every time (just a PSI for anyone wanting to do it at home, it can get really frustrating even for experienced cooks 😅)
And as for the experience part of it - it sucked for me too the first few times! Legs are the best area to practice on because, like you said, its dry and doesn’t get sweaty soon
Underarms and bikini are the two areas where humans have higher body temperature, this is why it melted on you so rapidly, and this is why they really want you to stay cool as you do it
I have a big fan blowing on me every time i do it especially in summer time 😅
So I would encourage you to keep trying, because I dont think its your size/speed that affects the result, its your body temperature!
Just keep calm, dont get distracted filming it (takes time and focus away) and have AC on and a fan, im sure it will get better! (And maybe try it on a shorter hair, that can help too!)
But yea thank you for the review, I think I will still go ahead and get the bikini version of it, because cooking myself takes so much time and energy these days 😭

Thank you for the tips!! I was struggling so hard 😭 And it hurts so it's hard to be patient when it seems nothing is going your way! That's actually great to know about homemaking wax! I've seen people use those cute salon style machines and was wondering if that was worth it 🤔 Have you ever tried those?

    • @LanaOkeaness

@@rebeccaespinal4560 my pleasure! Im sure you will be fine! And yea it does start to hurt if it melts prematurely on a gentle looser skin like bikini and underarms! At that point I would just stop the mission and wash it off it with warm water right away. Its a sure way to tore up your skin and leave burning marks and even bruises!
And no, the only type of traditional wax I ever used was those drug store wax strips that you have to warm up in your hands, that didn’t do anything for me because I have coarse middle eastern hair 😅
So when I found out about sugar wax I was amazed, because (if you have the patience) you can cook it to perfect hardness to where its not too soft and easy to melt, but also not too hard and doesn’t pick up any hairs.
But I’m glad that there are now products coming out to serve it to more women! After all it is indeed one of the ancient ways to remove hair!

@@LanaOkeaness No! I haven't! I dunno why I thought I could make it work but I tried 😂 Luckily I didn't seriously hurt myself, I'm sure the experience would've been better had I been more familiar with the process. I've only ever gotten my my eyebrows and lip waxed. My sister is the one that has been pushing me to do the Brazilian wax. But she keeps telling me to just prepare for the event cause it's tough the first few times 😢 She mentioned what you did as far as hair length and how that can make your experience worse. So lightly trimming could make all the difference or not waiting too long! Now that I look back my armpits were way too hairy for what I was asking that wax to do 😂 Waxing is best done on short hair I believe, longer will just cause more pain!

Bc sugar is from the plant sugar cane hence the name sugar. It was the process to decolorize the sugar to make it white that used bone char of the animals. Animals was not farmed just for this purpose. There is Natural sugar companies that don't decolorize their sugar.
Thanks for the Sugar me video!
