Even though a lot of effort was put into this apartment, there is no need to be sad because it is all about new beginnings and new journeys! I can't wait for new designs and explorations ❤
I think people should understand, that "temporary" doesn't mean you can't make it comfortable for you. Even if someday all your hard work is gone, because you're moving, you lived couple of years in a place you always wanted to return to. Everything in our life is temporary in some way so it's really important to enjoy everything that surrounds you today It was kinda sad seeing all this coziness gone, but where is an end, there is a new beginning, so congratulations on that new chapter!
I’ma little sad watching this, knowing all the work you put into this apartment. But I know that you two are going to have the best time in your new home and will do an amazing job of making it over. Have fun at your new home and thanks for making my day better :)
I think this is the most beautiful “moving out, saying goodbye to your previous home” video i’ve ever watched. It not only preps you for your next chapter, but also makes us feel excited for you for this new beginning. A tear ran down my cheek as you showed us how the rooms were so much lived in and now like brand new. But i also can’t wait to see what your new home will be. All the best, cherish each moment, bring us with you. Thank you, you make so many of us happy with your stories.❤️❤️❤️
Such a cool edit showing the beautiful before shots and the simple white after shots! It was a little sad watching you undo all the beautiful things I've watched you create but I think it's a great example to show everyone that it is worth making changes even in temporary spaces. You created a wonderful home there and I'm excited to watch you do it in the new space as well!
It is a bit sad as I really loved the apartment, but I can’t wait for you to start your magical makeover skills for your next apartment. Really satisfying with all the sounds of building hehe ❤️
I began to really hate my last apartment and neighborhood but I teared up a tiny bit when I walked out the door for the last time. My younger brother and I had lived there for five years and it was a good middle ground we both needed after our mom wanted her own place (rightfully so, we were in our mid 20's, lol). Now I live on my own and my younger brother lives with our older sibling until he gets on his feet. This was what I felt was my final step towards "real adulthood", being able to stand on my own two feet (erm...with a bit of help from my mom, lol. But 95% is my own doing). Such a great feeling, the excitement of a new chapter in life :) Congratulations again to you and Pat for embarking on a new journey in a new home!
There are SO MANY videos showing renter friendly upgrades, but this is the first I've ever seen someone show the other side of it. The video is very well made and surprisingly emotional. You just earned a subscriber. ❤
I've been a quiet bystander on your channel for a while, but it's been so wonderful to watch you grow! From literally never speaking in a video, to letting us in on a little bit more of who you are, I can't wait to see what you do next. :)
A lovely video, I liked that you emphasised that someone else will enjoy the apartment and that without change new things cannot happen. I get very stressed about change and this was an important perspective for me :)
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭 I loved all your makeovers and how each and every one done made your space looked more like a home ✨ I can’t wait to see what you do with your new place but for now ahhhh, thank you for making this video and sharing the memories of your space with us ♥️ Lots of love from your other home - Singapore xx
I broke up with my boyfriend two weeks ago and we're saying goodbye to our rental home together 🥲 It was so small and I hated it, but now I feel sad we're leaving. And I've just bought an apartment which needs a makeover. So your journey reminds me of mine, just that I'll be going through it alone. I'm still very excited about my new home, so that's okay.
Rewinding your apartment. Always good have videos like this show people how much work is to put back the way it was. I didn't go crazy with when I had a apartment. We didn't hang anything on the walls. The only thing they took was $10 for drip pans on the electric stove 😄. The only thing we bought for the place was just furniture (bedroom set, washer and dryer and a couch) my mom gave me her old family wood dining table (super heavy carry up flight of stairs that's was just the top legs came off 😄) and my mil gave us her old dining chairs. Have our own home now been 9 years still have all the times except couch so got a new one 😄.
You guys are really dedicated to making over and unmaking over for your apartment. I know usually tenants just pack and go and leave a huge pile of dust for the landlord to settle. It’s cool you even gave the kitchen a wipe down
I felt so sensitive in the end, watching how you said goodbye to the appartment :'( it was a great chapter, and even greater is awaiting for you! Love your videos, they are always so calming and relaxing
I've been binge watching your videos over the past couple of weeks and now I feel a little sad to see the apartment un-made. I'm sure your new apartment will be a wonderful new chapter! ❤ Also, you guys are just so efficient with getting everything removed and painted. It's satisfying to watch.
This is so bittersweet 🥹 I loved the makeovers and I understand you’ve to un-makeover it.. but I’m even more excited to see what you do with the new place! Love from India ♥️
The buying your own kitchen in a rental is so weird to me 😅 But I like the fact that you are able to paint walls and such, here in Sweden most apartments have wallpaper and its not ideal to paint over wallpaper so im stuck with walls that I dont like, I can if I want change the wallpaper myself but its too much of a hassle. Luckily some rooms in apartments here like the kitchen and hallway has white painted walls so I painted my kitchen green. Anyway cant wait to see more makeovers from you 🥹
The word you’re looking for is “collage.” For the fridge aesthetic. We had to make them when we were younger. They’re so 80s and 90s. They’ve kinda been adapted into mood boards nowadays, but I still like them.
Your videos are really something ! I was sooo emotional during your videos haha, especially at the end but I can't wait for your future videos. Thank you very much for everything you do 🥺❤️
It's always very difficult to leave an apartment, especially if, like me, you're sentimental. I left my first apartment 8 months ago after almost 8 years living in it. Passing the fridge reminded me of when I took the pictures out of mine, I cried so much when I realized I wouldn't be going back there again! A beautiful page is turning for you, a new adventure awaits you! It's going to be great you'll see!
I'm so sentimental! But I got so busy with all the packing, moving, painting that I didn't let myself have time to be sad. The first pang of sadness I got was when I saw the whole apartment empty :( But it's okay, it'll live in our memories!
@@cloudyhills Oh yes, a move is a hell of a job! In addition with the painting... It's so weird to see his apartment empty, it reminded me of my arrival and, like you, it seemed so much bigger once full! I kept the plans of my old apartment as a souvenir. You, it's cool, you have these videos!!! Can't wait to see the layout of the new one, it's going to be great ♥
I think a flea market booth sounds like a great idea! If you decide to sell at a flea market, it would be great if you would tell us, where you are going to sell. I don't know about selling but there is a big flea market in Riem which I find quite nice
gahd i hope tenants here in the PH get fresh white walls too but nooooo we usually get horrendously neon walls and sometimes they're not even freshly painted even after an old tenant moves out
Congratulation on your new house. It is always difficult leaving the only house behind and excited with your new one. Have fun together. I know all about it becauce i having been living in The Netherlands and was born in Singapore. XXX Janty
Although it’s great that you start a beautiful new chapter, so sad that everything had to be reverted to the original condition. Would be amazing if somebody could enjoy your talent. How big is the living room, btw? Felt much bigger when decorated than now seeing it empty!
Makes me want to move to Germany. My family originates from Germany. My mums brothers and my fathers brothers still live there. My cousins live in Switzerland.
the command strips also work on walls in central europe? i thought they only worked in the united states where they do not have the kind of walls like we do in europe. or maybe we can use them as well but we cannot use them to hang really heavy picture frames? hmm.. i don't know
Aren't you at all curious as to what the new tenants will do to style this apartment? Whatever they do, it will in no way compare to how good it looked when you lived there.
Haha! Our contracts for apartments like these are usually a minimum number of years, where the walls would get a little dirty/scruffy over time, so that's why I guess 🙂 It's nice that as a new tenant you get clean white walls when you move in!
Really enjoyed all your makeovers, loved every step of the process, absolutely adore how the hole place turned out and can’t wait to see what amazing ideas and projects you bring to life in your next place. ✨¡Besos! ✨ A.-
So nice to see this “undoing”! People always just show the doing part of renter friendly DIYs so you never get to see if they actually are in the end 😆 In regards to making big changes in rental apartments: Here in Sweden it’s very common to rent for your whole life, too. As of today it’s extremely hard to buy unless you already have a home to sell, because prices are high and the conditions for house loans are ridiculous. Now it’s almost impossible even for a family with two full time working, well paid adults to get a loan and you have to pay 15% of the home with saved money. If we bought something like our apartment we’d pay ~$350 000 all in all, and would need something like $52 000 on the bank to begin with. Instead we rent it for $550 a month. The apartment we’re moving to with our two kids would cost ~$500 000 and the rent is just shy of $850. We’ll be making some changes to our new place too, for sure! I’m actually super inspired to do so by your channel, so thank you 🥰🥰
This feels like watching a season finale 🥺 I'm very excited for your new adventure (and more room makeover videos!), but I feel strangely attached to your old rental house 🥺Thank you for all your effort into making these videos for us!!
I live in Munich actually, I would go to the Flea Market as a meet ang greet xD maybe I bring iced coffee :D And the fact the Pat put the postcards in the fridge is so such a *ugh*
at first I was wondering why you renovated the apartament (because usually ppl only stay short term) but knowing how long you guys lived there it was more than an apartment it was your house, hopefully you can make a new home out of your new apartment
Interesting.... In Holland the new renters usually visit the place whilst your still there and then you can discuss if they want (for example) the paint to stay as it is, or maybe leave the tiles on the balcony (most of the time they buy lots of stuff you want to leave behind). Only if they don't want it, then you remove it. So it's interesting to see it's different in Germany.
A farewell to this lovely apartment. I wish you and Pat a happy new journey and look forward to more videos about the new nest ❤️ Btw I live in Munich and it would be great if I could visit your flea market booth some day 💕
i felt sad with you, you made the apartment so beautiful. but i know you will make your next home beautiful too, and it will be so much fun to watch what you and pat do 🙂good bye apartment 👋
Ooof I also got very emotional watching you guys clean up and reflecting on all the videos you filmed in the space 😢 As you say though, packing up old memories to make new ones! Excited for your next adventure in your new space!
It's interesting to see how things differ in different countries. In Australia, you basically can't make any changes without approval if you're renting. That includes putting hooks into walls for frames. We definitely wouldn't paint walls or put up shelves etc. Though, we also aren't required to paint when we leave, that would be an owner responsibility. Which is probably why so many rentals have scuffed up walls :P
They rent for a long time in Germany even a lifetime so it’s their home to do as they please to an extent. They have to install kitchen cabinets that they want and then if they move it’s got to go too. I have moved soo much in Australia which isn’t common over their.

Cheering you on the other side of the world! 🤍
Really enjoyed all your makeovers, loved every step of the process, absolutely adore how the hole place turned out and can’t wait to see what amazing ideas and projects you bring to life in your next place. ✨¡Besos! ✨

So nice to see this “undoing”! People always just show the doing part of renter friendly DIYs so you never get to see if they actually are in the end 😆
In regards to making big changes in rental apartments: Here in Sweden it’s very common to rent for your whole life, too.
I’m actually super inspired to do so by your channel, so thank you 🥰🥰
Same for the Netherlands! But at here life is not even as expensive as in Sweden so the housing prices are ridiculous+ there's a shortage of houses
@@wonderland1911 Finding a house in the Netherlands is a true pain in the ass
This feels like watching a season finale 🥺 I'm very excited for your new adventure (and more room makeover videos!), but I feel strangely attached to your old rental house 🥺Thank you for all your effort into making these videos for us!!
I live in Munich actually, I would go to the Flea Market as a meet ang greet xD maybe I bring iced coffee :D
And the fact the Pat put the postcards in the fridge is so such a *ugh*
at first I was wondering why you renovated the apartament (because usually ppl only stay short term) but knowing how long you guys lived there it was more than an apartment it was your house, hopefully you can make a new home out of your new apartment
Not me hearing the word “Denmark” and almost squealing out loud … Nope.
Your room is similar to mine
I really enjoy your videos! I wish you the best of luck in this new chapter 😀
New subscriber and love your videos !
Have been binge watching your videos, looking forward for your new home decoration ❤️
May I ask how you color match white paint? I'm getting ready to do this soon and struggling to match the paint. Thanks!
I am from Vietnam 🇻🇳🇻🇳. I liked the video for you
Moving is bittersweet
This reminds me of when I moves, twice haha
