Hi! I’m a dental assistant ! if the wisdom teeth are missing you would basically “skip it” and count the second molar. So on upper right, say the wisdom tooth #1 was gone you’d count the next tooth as #2 which is the second molar. Same for the lower right say number 32 was missing you would simply have #2-31 not all 32. When counting just visual the teeth that are suppose to be there, so when you’re counting you will know something is missing. Same goes for upper left if tooth #16 was gone, you would have #2-#15 . Since #16 is missing you would do #15 then drop down to the lower left number #17. But say you’re missing #17, then you would go from #15 to #18. A trick to remember is that tooth #1, #16, #17, #32 are the third molar (wisdoms) if you look in the mouth and a 3rd molar isn’t showing in the mouth, if you only see 2 molars you would automatically know what tooth number is next. I hope this helped you!!
Thank you for this video I needed to see it counted in person rather then just on paper
Thank you so much I learned something from this video
"right side" from the patient's perspective or the dentist's perspective? It gets confusing to me.
I wondered that as well. I found this youtube video that says everything is from the patient's perspective. ruclips.net/video/QYtM7zZ2Co4/видео.html
Thank you for saying this I'm in dental school and I'm so confused
Very good video thanks you mam for your contribution,🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! Great explanation I can remember!
Thank you. I have a small cavity on tooth 32 that needs to be filled I was wondering what tooth that was 😊
Are wisdom teeth included in number system
Yes, they are #1,16,17,32
Some segments in the video are stamped not adjacent to each other
Me: a receptionist being told to triage last minute. Also me watching RUclips video to know what numbers to put on the paperwork. 😮💨
what if couple of wisdom tooth are missing?

@@alyssasanchez5646 I work at a dental office, and that’s not what we do. We count it even if it’s missing
U still count it
You still count it as not to mistake the exact tooth numbered.
Very nice 👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
