The universe makes you realize how special life is. So much can and does go wrong it's amazing we are even here! Stars running into each other, needed stability of the star (Not too big not too small) black holes, distance of planets to their star, steady orbits of other planets, composition of the planet's, needed magnetic fields, plate techtonics, hydrocarbons, water, a Jupiter to catch the meteors and astroids, and needing to live in the boonies of your galaxy! If any of these things are off, life can end or not even start. It's actually pretty terrifying. A well placed gamma ray burst and issa wrap! 🤤
Well we dont know if life is special at all. Since we Abiogenesis is the most likely origin for life chances are very big that life is all over the universe. Then when you look at planets in the habital zone, just for this galaxy there are an estimated 20 billion planets. And thats just for life as we know it. Seeing life in the most inhabital places on earth its not crazy to think it could exist outside aswell. Now intelligent life.. thats a different story. First its not necesarily the case evolution has an intelligent being as an outcome. Then there are many extinction events etc etc. pretty much what you said. But as we know from earth we had many extinction events and yet life found a way.
themplar the odds of another life form on another planet existing simultaneously with ours on Earth is higher than getting struck by lightning 24 hours after you win the lotto playing the same number 5 times.
maybe talking about intelligent life. But based on abiogenesis and evolution, and the fact that this small gallaxy already has an estimated 20 billion planets in the habital zone (and its thought that life could exist outside the habital zone aswell like Europa for example or titan) chances are incredibly big that life somewhere exists now. I'm just not convinced thats intelligent. And maybe other life hasnt started yet or already went extinct. Sure.

I mean let's be honest here, isn't that the kettle calling the skillet black, or whatever that old saying is? I mean if you choose to believe that everything just fell into place by random chance, and everything that was created was created without a creator, and from nothing.. Then okay believe that, If it makes you feel good.. Or if you choose to believe in a god / creator that created everything, and put everything into motion as we know it. Then that's okay too.. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. So let's be fair about it, and not assholes...

Seen a huge green ball of light falling slowly into our atmosphere back around 93. Also seen a wide beam, wider than any meteorite ive ever seen that split into two equally wide beams that went in different directions. Coolest phenomenons I've ever witnessed. I love staring at the cosmos and letting my imagination take me there. Great vid
Great clip! Reminds me of why so many of us love science, especially physics, and astrophysics. The more we know, the more we realize how little we know. There was a time in the late 19th through the very early 20th century, when we thought we literally thought we had the cosmos all figured out, and all there was left to do was to catalog.
leave the city and look up in the early morning hours, on a clear night, during the famous and active Perseid meteor shower (August every year)...... and buckle up. In 2019 the peak day will be August 13 but the showers will actually start July 23- August 30. Look towards the direction of Cassiopeia constellation. ❤️
One day I was on the road with my father in the middle of the night, and was staring out the window (like any bored 10 year old kid would.) I was looking at the stars in the sky, and looking at one directly, I literally saw it fall towards the ground. Now, I've seen shooting stars and falling stars before, but this was literally a star in the nightsky, that was standing still for almost 15 minutes, fell right down like in Super Mario. Idk what to truly make of it.
murad jawed weeellll i'd at least say this comment is about a meta-issue regarding the video. anway OP, what exactly did you want to talk about fluctuations of this star?
A very interesting documentary. I find that when somewhere out in the countryside, I am totally blown away when I look up into the sky and see all the stars. I find that it's one of the most wondrous spectacles I've ever seen and who knows, there may be other life forms on some of those stars as well. To me, the Orion Nebula is full of wonder in the way it forms new stars from a cloud. I do not attribute any religious ideas to what I see but it puts me into proper perspective of how small and insignificant I am compared to the universe and the sight is absolutely wonderful.
The 'irregularities' and it's high-speed movement make me wonder if those irregularities are actually impacts of it hitting other planets, smaller stars, etc. I think it reasonably classifies as an 'unstoppable' object.

Archaeopteryx Lithographica that's not the answer.
Sure.
themplar definitely not on our intellectual level whether that means below or above.
A little bit tweaking you can be a Morgan Freeman story teller

Narrator: I always though shooting stars were actually stars like I thought Santa clause was real
8yr old joins the chat: wait what?!
Yeah, he brutally spoils those kids about Santa Clause not being real 😂
😂😂😂
Wait, are you saying there is no Santa?
Mephistopheles yes santa in the mall is just a guy in a costume or a robot
And the gifts in your house is just from your parents

Garrett Halle it’s not, to us it’s not, don’t push your beliefs onto others
KillerToxic28 When atheist talks shit about God, and say there is no such thing as God, God does not exist.. Then basically aren't they doing the same thing? I mean let's be honest here, isn't that the kettle calling the skillet black, or whatever that old saying is? I mean if you choose to believe that everything just fell into place by random chance, and everything that was created was created without a creator, and from nothing.. Then okay believe that, If it makes you feel good.. Or if you choose to believe in a god / creator that created everything, and put everything into motion as we know it. Then that's okay too.. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.. So let's be fair about it, and not assholes...
I even stated god doesn’t exist to US
kgbme that’s LIFE nobody knows what’s right and what’s wrong we have ideas but nobody knows making mistakes can lead to be good
People, We have now learned that RUclips is more educational than school. We are learning things they’ll never teach us in school
SCHOOL SUCKS
Schools exist to spawn slave armies of anti-social mindless creativity-devoid drones
Then go to a school which gives astronomy classes. other schools dont go into topics like this because its not basic knowledge.
Monica Chavez expect I don't act like having an edication id worthless
Gilda'sDoingStuff I think he was referring to grade school not college
Be careful what you learn on RUclips cause 90% is wrong. Always do your own research

Omicron is a cool sounding name. That star sure has a lot of things going on. Its amazing that after all these years of observations and it shooting through space, we still manage to see it. What's also amazing is that Fabrisius has been around for about 400 years and nobody even noticed
Omicron hits different now doesn’t it
This narrator is the David Attenborough of RUclips.
It's really quite remarkable, you think you have issues here on earth but when you consider the shit going on in space and how small we are compared to the universe, it really makes you wonder.
imagine it actually hitting a planet or another star at that speed.
we are nothing but echoes in the vastness of infinity
These statements are not true. Human beings are not insignificant, we are the highest creation of all that God made. We are made in the very image of God. By definition, we are god-like in our minds, emotions, and personalities. We were created by the Creator of the universe. Read the Bible and believe it, it is provably true!
The God Emperor of Mankind will lead us to conquer the Galaxy! The Space Marines were made in His image.
Lee Bee Likevi just don't get it. You religious people just come to space videos to preach your beliefs? Like in every space video i see comments like this I mean if you believe in god good for you, but no one gives a f

"The brightness of Mira increases 3.5 times in just 332 days..." (from AbsMag 10 to 2)
4:32
Surprised that nobody on the staff picked up this mistake. The apparent magnitude scale is not linear, but logarithmic. 10 to 2 is not a 3.5x increase in brightness, but rather a ~1500x increase in brightness.
It's like Stephen Hawking's computer voice got a major upgrade, except for being as dry as Amish wedding reception

How much do I have to drink and smoke to start sounding like you
Shot and a beer. Shot and a beer. Shot and a beer. All within 20 minutes of each other so in 1 hour. Then go out to the car and smoke a joint with a friend. Then repeat that whole process 1 more time and boom you're all set.
@@mawage666 I couldn't begin to tell you how much I drink and smoke, tobacco and weed and, other things from time to time... but my voice has barely dropped an octave. I think the key is to talk while you exhale the smoke, keep that up for a few years and before you know it, you're Sam Elliot, even if you're a lady.

Thanks for this informative video. Good narration. A minor criticism: the music is distracting and intrusive. Gentle background music at lower volume would be better. Otherwise very nice. Please keep up the good work.
Sounds like Mira needs a smog check.
Well Sadly i haven't Seen A Shooting Star ;-;
Your not alone
When I first saw one I was 15, I knew about asteroids at the time and it terrified the shit out of me
leave the city and look up in the early morning hours, on a clear night, during the famous and active Perseid meteor shower (August every year)...... and buckle up. In 2019 the peak day will be August 13 but the showers will actually start July 23- August 30. Look towards the direction of Cassiopeia constellation. ❤️

Try Looking At The Star B-3809 (SORRY I FORGOT THE NAME DONT LOOK IT UP) With Luminosity -38.09 Sun Luminosity Is 4.809 And This Is From Sun
Bavan S you lost credibility when you mentioned Super Mario lol

And you're neither
murad jawed weeellll i'd at least say this comment is about a meta-issue regarding the video. anway OP, what exactly did you want to talk about fluctuations of this star?
A very interesting documentary. I find that when somewhere out in the countryside, I am totally blown away when I look up into the sky and see all the stars. I find that it's one of the most wondrous spectacles I've ever seen and who knows, there may be other life forms on some of those stars as well. To me, the Orion Nebula is full of wonder in the way it forms new stars from a cloud. I do not attribute any religious ideas to what I see but it puts me into proper perspective of how small and insignificant I am compared to the universe and the sight is absolutely wonderful.
Nice Elite Dangerous scene!

The 'irregularities' and it's high-speed movement make me wonder if those irregularities are actually impacts of it hitting other planets, smaller stars, etc. I think it reasonably classifies as an 'unstoppable' object.
