It astounds me how delusional Charlie & Donna are thinking that Charlie was convicted because the jury were biased against him, rather than the evidence leading to his conviction. They are so arrogant.
Definitely. All he and Donna could do is complain about the jury and Cappleman. No complaints about Katie extorting them.

Enjoyed this ! Watched on #replay. I have to agree with Bruce.. my immediate family in Broward, my friends in Miami don’t know much about this case. I was living in Ft. Lauderdale when Charlie was arrested and I didn’t hear anything. Donna’s arrest created more of a buzz but very few read the newspaper. Unless you catch the 1 minute snippet on the news, you don’t know. I can’t attest for the Jewish community - but there’s no one local I can talk to about this case. My long time dentist knew the Adelson’s. My nephew is a dentist in Broward and they’ve heard something but don’t know much at all.
Iirc Bruce said his dentist knew Charlie from dental school, but didn't follow the case much.

I am in Scotland and thought the same as Bruce about Flying from Palm Beach to tallahassee to cut down the travelling time , I even checked on Google Earth to look at it , from Scotland !

Janice is in for the money. She only got upset when she realized that her "free" housing gig is up and when she was going to take the tv's and he said a big no. I wouldn't feel so comfy with her acting so aggravated with my dog and yelling at him as she was when she was on the phone with him. Maybe Janice can take up free residence with Havey until he's arrested since mommy will not ever be back!

Charlie is an odd duck. He did himself no favours on the stand during Georgia’s cross. He was arrogant and he snickered like a small boy in reaction to Donna calling Danny a “F...cker”

The atty. for Donna should have been in Tally to see her client, she knew what her client was facing, she could have had daily visits and given her some support, the atty is blaming the jail procedure instead of her own negligence to her client, She could have hired a Tally atty to visit Donna and make sure she had atty, contact,
What's stranger is that after that hearing, that day, she left to go home. Someone saw her at the airport. So much for needing more access to Donna.
Correct water stays on 20 second hit button 20 more seconds. Common three minute showers, can go longer. The crazy part about state prison you need a stand bye (look out )

Judy - this was one of the best shows I’ve seen on this since D’s phone calls dropped. It’s great u chose ‘backstory’ guests. Everyone else is just fighting over what Donna said in the one part of the tape. Loved how Donna sat their and denied ever thinking suicide at the hearing. All the best to you from me, a former East Cobber (think Big Chicken) and ur family for the holidays

Judy ! I very very good episode ! Just love these guests ! Didn’t realize Steve cohen is part of STS and Joel’s show - Steve gave us such gems here about the overall adelson case. I loved the addition of Bruce Smirnoff - like Bruce my interest in this case is that I just know many “adelsons “ in my life time , and this whole case and the “yenta” perspective Bruce brings in gave the episode a terrific spin ! Judy , your great sense of humor and depth at the same time makes your episodes so easy to watch ! I can’t get enough ! #justicefordan

I wonder if Donna still has no idea that that conversation was recorded after the call with Charlie ended. Her attorney probably is still clueless.
That was so neat to me that Steve knew, and had met the actors I asked about. Both of them were stage actors in theater in NYC, and they were in S. California filming during the era Bruce was there. John Schneider and Sorrell Booke, also known as Bo Duke, and Boss Hogg! My six year old nephew has had me watching those episodes the past year, the same I used to watch with my grandmother on Friday nights 40 years ago.
Since I lived in Georgia then, everyone watched The Dukes of Hazard!

@@aalegalfocus yep, just pull up pics of Covington and you’ll recognize downtown as the set of the first episodes. The Boars Nest is now a small church on Flat Rock Road in Oxford, GA. believe it or not.

Love your show Judy. You are methodical, articulate, knowledgeable and stay on topic. Funny how Charlie claims he was extorted but eliminates attorneys Dan Rashbaum and Josh Dubin out of the equation. The Adelson family was duped out of millions for a guilty verdict. Dan Rashbaum was not an experienced criminal trial lawyer, and there is no way in "h-e-double-l", he was convinced of Charlie's innocence. If so, Rashbaum has a third grader's level of intellect not the jury! Use your common sense. Rashbaum and Josh Dubin are laughing all the way to the bank. Donna is surely frightened to her core now, with a less than three hour guilty verdict for her son. She's next, she should take a plea and roll on Wendi. Karma is real.

I haven't heard this mentioned, the Toyota Prius is one of the most recognizable cars on the road, especially in 2014. If they had a Toyota Corolla, it could be mistaken for many other car models, but the silhouette of a Prius is unmistakable.

Bruce misunderstood. You hit a button on the shower for water that goes off in 30 seconds. You have to keep hitting the button to finish, and there are people waiting to go next so you can't stay too long. Pretty miserable either way

Charlie being the middle child and second fiddle to golden child ✨Wendi ✨ I think he was always trying to get his parents approval. Wendi was always top in her class and Charlie was scraping by needing influence from his dad to get ahead in the dentistry practice. I think he was feeling really “special” being able to fix the family problem. None of this could have happened if Charlie wasn’t running with people from the other side of the tracks… he wanted Donnas approval and for a while it got in her good graces.. and how ironic that golden child got everything she had wanted and Donna and Charlie are paying the price for what they did for Wendi.

I would like to hear from the older Adelson son. I have heard his mother strongly disapproved of his wife and he has chosen to have no contact with his family
He did say in a Facebook group that he hoped to be able to talk more in the future.
@@phillipaclemons7261 The Adelsons did relent & they all attended his wedding to an Indian doctor. I think he went to Harvey’s 70th birthday party. The final nail in the coffin, I believe, happened when he started asking questions following Dan Markel’s murder - and his family’s responses were ‘off’
Bree was talking about marriage bc she knows it would benefit her son's future. It would make him a legit heir to the Adelson estate, if there is even one left in the end.
Not legal advice but since paternity was already decided in the lawsuit Bri filed against Charlie, the child would already be entitled to a possible inheritance if Charlie died intestate. Getting married would give Bri some of the pie, if there's going to be anything left.
And life insurance, plus spousal SS benefits if he gets killed in prison.
Brie is like Janice & all the other dumb bimbos Charley ran with, out for what they can get. Charley is the same - every female relationship is transactional. The only unconditional love he knows is from dog! (Not Donna)

I guess Charlie found a cure for his severe back pain that he filed his disability lawsuit for - Life In Prison - he has not mentioned back pain in the 1 and 1/2 years he has been in jail and he sat for hours in a hard chair with no problem
I noticed that too. He was sitting nonstop for days with no signs of discomfort. I saw no signs of physical problems.

Judy, my theory why Charlie keeps talking about What Wendy did, her book & her drive to crime scene & Donna’s email but not once what he said or told Katie. Could it be because he wants to point out all the reasons why they cracked the case & why he got convicted and that doesn’t include him?
Seems like it. Plus, he knows what he and Katie did, so he won't talk about the real evidence/testimony against him that convicted him.

The number of times he brought that up, bolstering the prosecution’s case with “What are the chances of her driving to the crime scene an hour after the murder?” And the fact she chose to drive to a liquor store 7 miles/15 minutes from her house to buy Bullett Bourbon of all things? One in a 10,000 or 1 in a million?? As with everything else he then backtracks - she had no sense of direction, she was on autopilot etc. But he was fixated on one too many “coincidences’ being unbelievable!

I disagree that Donna wasn't helping by interrupting. Nobody is saying that she was lying about what happened and it was even more clear that she was dealing with exactly what he lawyer described. Her strong reaction helped proved the truth about certain things that Chief Mack was lying/covering about. Didn't win, but they were put on blast and that's nobody wants to deal with. I bet things get better for Donna. She loves the phone after all!
