you should be appreciative of the xqd cards, it is a 47 MP camera after all, the other option in the past would have been the CF card, as in the 50 or 100 MP digital backs in MF hasselblads, as this is in effect the resolution you are dealing with, so the process can only be as fast as the slowest component in the chain, if there is a fast processor, it can only work as fast as the card can absorb the data, so the faster the card the greater chance of reaching the proccessors full potential.
the adapted lens would have these issues, remember that as there is more wires and electronics in the way before the lens, there is a voltage drop, this would account for the speed and labouring of focus, etc. that you had noticed.
which one you will recommand for portrait and art photography , Nikon Z6 or Canon EOS R or Sony A7||| ? as you know canon in good for natural and vibrant colours and Nikon for sharpness in images , please suggest , thanks in advance
We're curious to know, if you're a Nikon user would you jump to the Z series or would you consider going to an alternative brand? Also we've heard that some of you are saying the EN-EL15a battery works well in the Z7, in our tests it didn't hold up too well but we'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Purchase the Nikon Z7 today: bit.ly/2LvzP00
Wait, you said "So if you are a Nikon users, you'd be happy to know that most of you EN-EL 15 will definitely work in Z 7 but it won't last very long." So let me get this straight, you are saying that the EN-EL 15 "A" that you tested on this Z7 is crappy, but did you even tested the EN-EL 15 "B"? (The one came out with the Z7). The reason I asked this is because I've heard from some reviewers that these batteries have different performances when used in Z7. Please clarify. Thank you, love the review. :)
Tested both batteries. The A lasts a bit longer than the B (maybe by 100 or so shots). I tested the A with my personal one for the Nikon D750, which could have had a shorter battery life over the years of usage. The B has the advantage of being able to charge anywhere if you have a powerbank but doesn't last that long.
you are not telling battery rate about the new battery which come with this camera . you told old batteries which come with dslr . original battery is far batter then 300 shots .
As I mention I tested both. The 15b didn't seem to last that long, but also neither did the 15a. I think the 15a I was able to squeeze out maybe if I'm generous 100 more shots. The 15b isn't that great but you can recharge it with a battery bank. The 15a lasts a bit longer but It's not something that is comparable to the Sony Z series battery for example. IN the Z7s defence I tested my personal EN-EL15a which could've had it's life sucked out already hence the shorter battery life. The 15b....not so good.
Don't agree with the continuous focus. I just got mine, and I feel like for still images it's unusable. It misses about 70% of the shots I take with face detection. I might be returning mine.
Since you are the only one to say this, do some controlled condition tests and if it is not user error, get it exchanged because others are reporting very good AF tracking performance.
@Strawberry Kiys What do you recommended for a full frame wildlife camera? My budget is $2500. Might the AF be better on the Z6? This is my first camera.
Your battery life seems much lower than the other reports I've seen. It's very disappointing and has stopped my order as I really do need good battery life.
@@GeorgesCamerasTV it's strange because most of the reports with the new battery said they were getting better 600 at the lowest to 1200 at the highest - but apparently there is a battery saving mode.
Doing this review with a gigantic Sony logo on his arm doesn't do much for objectivity of most reviewers. It reflects just how aggressive Sony has been with marketing to so many social media photographic people. Free trips to Vegas, helicopter rides, free gear, trips to Hawaii by Canon etc. Nikon has disadvantaged itself by not spending more on buying reviewers.
I think those free trips, helicopter rides, free gear are really petty. I don't like people to have the mindset that these things are really required for buying reviewers. It tarnishes the unbiased nature of a review. In the usual scenario, reviewers can borrow or buy a camera and test those in their respective environments. Having a set prepared just for reviewers really narrows the options of the testers. Free gear is petty too, pretty much just say sponsored because these brands never really do free. And regarding marketing, it's sad if these brands just rely heavily on reviewers.
I don't see how he having a Sony logo on his sweater doesn't make it an objective review? Was it not objective because he mention a few things he didn't like? A unbiased reviewer doesn't need to love everything about a camera. I seen people who were given free trips to preview cameras/gear give negative reviews on the products. Were those biased positive reviews? If they do not give a negative review does it mean they were brought by the company? Does it mean its not a good product because a reviewer was given a free trip? Do you have any proof that anything being said in the review was false or brought? A lot of the reviewers do buy or rent or borrow the gear to review. Not all of them are given free cameras. Even if they were given free cameras you would need to prove they are giving a positive review because of the free stuff.
Nikon also like to did that if you don't know, they fly a bunch of photographers (not vlogger) to some distance exotic trips. The differences is you likely won't find their publication in the wild because they are not vlogger or blogger.
Good job guys, just got the xt3 over this, I don't see Nikon or Canon on par with Fuji or Sony atm, Fuji for the win :0 Missing Melbourne, Cheers from Ireland.....

Something isn’t right with that result.
battery life seems fine. way better than Fuji. Probably only need to carry 1 extra for a day vs. 6 for Fuji.
Yes a little mixed results from other reviewers, not that I'm saying anything bad from this review.
+Georges CameraTV That's weird.. OK, appreciate the reply.
Good review mate
looks like video was shot with canon c200, great dynamic range. was it in RAW?
Yep you're definitrly right! We didn't shoot it in raw though. It was shot in 4K/1080
Shld do some high iso performance test...
With one Xqd card, byebye, Haha
a chance you never had to work with film...lol if it's that important, use the wifi to transfer to any storage device and voila !
Good review well done 👍
Is there any focus breathing with the f moung lenses?
wtf, it depends on the lens
@@paveloconnor7759 yeah if u use f mount lens with the ftz adatpter then there is some amount of focus breathing
Does the Z7 transfer the full size picture to the phone?
2 megapixel standard or full size via Snapbridge. You can select small, medium, or large in camera.
you are not telling battery rate about the new battery which come with this camera . you told old batteries which come with dslr . original battery is far batter then 300 shots .
Yes, thank you. I was wondering about that as well.
We used both and the 15a didn't last too long from our tests. Could have been because it wasn't a fresh battery out of a box.
So you haven't tested the new battery?
As I mention I tested both. The 15b didn't seem to last that long, but also neither did the 15a. I think the 15a I was able to squeeze out maybe if I'm generous 100 more shots. The 15b isn't that great but you can recharge it with a battery bank.

This result seems way off compared to what everyone else is getting. Were you shooting video at the same time as all of the still shots?
Don't agree with the continuous focus. I just got mine, and I feel like for still images it's unusable. It misses about 70% of the shots I take with face detection. I might be returning mine.
Really? Is it that bad?
Loving my xt3, it's a beast
Since you are the only one to say this, do some controlled condition tests and if it is not user error, get it exchanged because others are reporting very good AF tracking performance.
seems backlit subjects make it struggle. still testing/using mine.
@Strawberry Kiys

Shaking hand and shaking hand and shaking hand for every syllable articulated... feeling seasick while watching this...
To bad not all Tamron works with the adapter
Is there a list? I have a 24-70 g2, hopefully it works, though I don't know if I'll get this camera or not.
Unfortunately, G2 series have compatibility issues with FTZ adapter. My older 15-30 (non-G2) works fine though.
Review seems like a regurgitation of every other Nikon Z7 review.
It's not called the Zed 7, it's called the Zee 7.
Not in countries that speak English
Your battery life seems much lower than the other reports I've seen. It's very disappointing and has stopped my order as I really do need good battery life.
Could be cause I used an aged EN-EL15a. Maybe wait and see for more tests before committing
