I also have very fine hair and I use one of those mini smoothing brushes, especially when it's humid outside. It really tames the frizzies and fly aways for me.
Alexandria I too have unruly hair...It use to be thick and wavy now it's so thin you can see through it😪 I have even tried hair extensions and several brands make them beautifully thick but when I put them in they are very noticeable and they are my exact hair color but they are bumpy...please, if you have ideas or your subscribers please lmk bcuz my self confidence is getting lower and lower. I learned something today, and I thought I would share it with you all in light of Alex's frustration with repeats. With Boxycharm, they apparently keep track of all the items they've ever sent you, and if you receive a duplicate within a rolling 12 month period, they will automatically give you a $6 credit (which makes sense.. 5 items for $30 is $6 each) So you basically get a freebie with every duplicate! Ipsy should take a page from Boxy.

Pro tip for the small alien you feel might erupt from your face on your wedding day! The serum acts as a decongestant, which is great - keep using it. However, if a lump is forming under the skin, start using spot patches at night. If nothing else, it will flatten it and it will be much easier to disguise with concealer/foundation on the day 🙂

Ipsy lucked out following the annual Sephora shitshow in this year's countdown. It was comparatively such a step up...... Then I remembered they claim this is meant to be $475.64 (!!!!!!!!!??!) Worth of products. SURE JAN 👍 Hope your wedding is amazing. Have the best time 🙏🧡
I stopped getting ipsy bags when I kept getting samples on paper, you know the kind where the sample is so small it’s a smudge of something on paper with a foil covering? Yeah that, like not even enough eye cream for both eyes. Lol

For lip products that are too pigmented, I take a clear chapstick and use it as a base under the pigmented product. This helps to sheer things out and prevents my lips from drying out (which some formulas of lipstick tend to do for me) 😊❤️
You can use lipsticks that are too saturated by dabbing it on your lips and then covering with lip balm to sheer it out 😊 Also it’s easy to sanitize lipstick so you could still give it away 😄
Totally agree! I blot my lip colour. Does no-one remember blotting? 😂 I often put a thick even coat of lip product on, leave it for a little while (a lot of them will stain the lips slightly, or maybe the colour just has a chance to sink into the top layer of skin) and then I gently blot until there is very little residue. My lips look defined and pretty, but like I don't have lipstick on.

I loooove the Tatcha Dewy cream it's so nice. I haven't had it in so long cuz I just cant afford it, but holy cow I do love that moisturizer so much. You only need the tiniest amount, and it's just so creamy and makes your skin so soft and Dewy. If I could afford it, it would definitely be my favorite moisturizer

I thought I was having a glitch in my very recent memory like about a hour ago I could of swore I watched your video of a Ipsy advent calendar last year...then you said that you havent unboxed any ipsy calendars....but after the thousands of un-boxings anyone would forget a few especially if they are so underwhelming....but you did in fact un box this 11 months back...I knew I wasn't tripping.... But thanks for doing this... Because it helps us know what to get and what to run far far away from

I got a full size 111 skin serum and and victor and rolf perfume (sample size obvouisly) but both of those together was like a lil over 100$ when i only payed 20.
Oh boy, Ipsy doesn’t disappoint in their failure! I got my Chanel Advent Calendar, yep same as last year’s with a few good things (4). I’ve already divided the items for stockings and gifts! Girl as a local Kentuckian (Louisville) my skin has been getting really dry lately too!! But I did just purchase the Tatcha moisturizer and it has honestly helped my skin be hydrated. I will say it feels a little wet / “dewy” on your skin and sometimes leaves a film even if I only use a small amount. Which i guess that’s what the dewy in the name references but it’s not a feeling I like it seems 😂
So far I feel like the theme for the year is, "Eh, it's alright." Which, honestly is better that previous years. But that says a lot about the quality of these types of calendars.
If you ever read the comments, please try the Tatcha. It’s my favorite!! And the dewy cream is PERFECT for dry skin!!! I think you will love it! I prefer the water (tatcha) cream but it’s because I have combo skin, the dewy cream I think will work really well with your skin. It will change your skin for the best 😊

witch hazel has always worked great on breakouts. Make sure its not the non alcohol one because that won't work. Also fresh rose water will always balance the PH in your skin.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the advent calendar this year!! Especially compared to Sephora. I get the glam bag x & I've never gotten anything that was in this calendar before. They have many varieties of boxes they give out, so they're all a little different. I was certainly surprised though that I didn't previously receive any of these items.

Girl as a local Kentuckian (Louisville) my skin has been getting really dry lately too!! But I did just purchase the Tatcha moisturizer and it has honestly helped my skin be hydrated. I will say it feels a little wet / “dewy” on your skin and sometimes leaves a film even if I only use a small amount. Which i guess that’s what the dewy in the name references but it’s not a feeling I like it seems 😂

witch hazel has always worked great on breakouts. Make sure its not the non alcohol one because that won't work. Also fresh rose water will always balance the PH in your skin.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the advent calendar this year!! Especially compared to Sephora. I get the glam bag x & I've never gotten anything that was in this calendar before. They have many varieties of boxes they give out, so they're all a little different. I was certainly surprised though that I didn't previously receive any of these items.
I wasn't a sheet mask person either, but when I was getting ipsy they sent me some of those masks and I really enjoyed them.
