I applaud you !!! One of the best presentations I’ve ever seen on RUclips!! Detailed description of all components used and informative amp review!!! Not just showing paper flying in front of a port! Great job!!
love your set up its clean and nice sound quality. And the fact that you did it yourself its makes it even better i have a Rockford p3 sq set up in my car. I have (3 P3D412's, t1 4 Inch speakers in the front, 1t693 in the back, 4 p1 tweeters in front, 4 pp4 super tweeters 2in the front & 2 in the back, and a pair of pp4 6x5s in the front, t600 amp for mids and highs, & t1500 amp for bass) It took me 3years to build it because I'm young and i had a crappy job but now things have changed but its amazing sound quality. I'm a Rockford fan. But my jeep im going with sundown 18s i want that to be an SPL set up. But your build is great it reminds me of when i first started in high school. I love the feeling of starting a build. But Keep upgrading and adding on because your set up may not be what most ppl like but its perfect to me due to the sound quality.
I really like what you did with the removable battery! Save weight and space when you want, but have the power anytime!:) You could also remove it and never be without a spare battery! You could also give someone a jump start without having to move your car! Also, props on the build cleanliness. While not 'professional', it is very practical, clean, and well done. At first i was looking at your spec list and thought "meh, thats it? Only a little system?" but after watching the walkthrough i am quite impressed! Well done :)
Nice build bro the only thing I would recommend is that you make the box bigger. It will increase your bass tremendously. You can google box size specs to get the best performance. I built my own box myself and made the same mistake but after correcting the problem it was a huge difference. Keep up the good work bro!
Sounds nice! I just bought that T1000 power amp today and I am excited to start my setup. I want two optima yellow tops but I have no clue how to even do that...just adding an extra battery sounds difficult but I don’t want to strain my alternator. Thanks for sharing stud. 🤓
Just bought my T600.4 today. Pairing it with a T1500 Monoblock from Fosgate. Running a Sundown 18. Ignore the haters bro most these dudes got crappy systems and just don’t u understand a good system. I really recommend the big 3 upgrade tho when u get a chance. Thanks for the video
I'd Scrap the cap and wire it right to the rear battery with fusing and get rid of the bass boost remote and tune it with either a dd1 or oscope. Also wire in a digital volt meter up front.
I understand the cap for the fuses part but why get rid of the bass boost remote? I would keep that in case you need to cut off the bass for the cops safe way not to get a ticket
+junito413baby That's one way of doing it, there's a thing called a pac lc1 that controls ur rca's audio signal to the bass amp. From what I've seen tuning amps with bass boost usually adds distortion. If u need bass boost to get loud you need a bigger amp or better enclosure or both. Hope that helps.
Well I have the SMD CC1 &DD 1 when tuning the amp you supposed to have the remote off until the calibration is done I'm a keep what you said in mind because I didn't know that
+junito413baby great tools! When tuning with the dd1 if u wanna use bass boost/knob you adjust that where ur Goin to use it and leave it and then adjust the gain after. Not sure if that's what u meant.
My lights just started to flicker when I have the volume up. Alternator 130 amp. I have yellow top battery cca 650. P500x1 and P500x2 Rockford amps. 4-P1's. 4 gage amp wire. Any good solutions you can think will solve my situation?
Hey man I work in a car audio shop and have these same subs running off a p1000x1bd I went for the dual 4 ohms, so my amp sees 1 ohm so it puts out more power and there is no series wiring Any particular reason you went the dual 2 ohms?
I am new to sound systems,I need advice, what is or is the difference between Big boy Alpine 5. Channel and a Big boy 5 channel Rockford? Please I need advice before I invest,.The music that I would listen to and how I like it is theater sound quality and were I would hear every acoustic clear no distortion. Thank you some on any info you can provide on questions asked. P.s congratulations on your system,I truly mean it.
First off what do you mean buy "Big boy" and secondly if your into sound quality this is a more up to date build of mine ruclips.net/user/edit?o=U&video_id=EQaqUcgrNHA
I use a solar panel on my roof so I don't need an alternator, I got a T1500 and a 12" SA ZV3 that sounds like I have 4 15" because I designed my box based on what I learnt in physics class and some common sense :D
Yes I have(with #2), but that's all that has changed since the shoot. I have planes to change vehicles soon. So I have neglected most upgrades, like deadning the roof
@@DonkeysBreath I ended up getting the T1500-1bdcp for the to subs and a T400-4 channel amp for 4 focal 6.5 access door speakers 🔊 Hope tha was a good call.. I was told that the subs will slam a the amp was the best match for em
i do not have much hands one experience with alpine personally. however with that in mind i would not say there is much of a difference as long as you are comparing the same tier of product of both brands. that is a general statement. if you are comparing two or more specific products let me know what they are and i can give you my opinion
sealed boxes don't always hit harder and a band pass box is 4th order but only comes made for 10s or 12s if there is band pass 15s let know! :-) Mr Donkey my question to you is how come you didn't go higher on the box if you lay down the woofers ?
+junito413baby i actually have one just like that, i built it before the sealed one, it was literally twice the volume. its foot print was to large for my liking.
friend I recommend using current distributors one for positive and one for negative and will have loss of power to put many cables in the terminal of the capacitor
You need to do the big 3 upgrade. I guarantee you'll feel like you upgraded your entire system. You should also upgrade that Optima battery with an AGM battery. I'd go with an XS Power but any AGM battery will be a big upgrade over that gel cell.
+Jeremy Day big three was done, and the yellow tops are the best AGM batteries i can get for the price where i am. There are no shops that carry XS power or other similar batterys near me, and shiping from the us into Canada at the moment is not a good option.
I got a ported box on my 15 sxreaudio but a sealed box hits harder it hits hard in ported box and it will last longer in ported box but sealed it harder because your not losing air with a sealed box
Actually sealed boxes are better for single coil. band pass and ported best dual coil dual woofers are best known to push more air then single ported boxes puts out a deeper response on a lower frequency especially if you listening to rap dub step reggae country merangae jazz blues also sealed is perfect for rock heavy metal as well salsa and any Mexican music
Well I have booth a ported and sealed box for them. But I use the sealed more often due to practically reasons. But you are right the ported box hits lower and lower but is twice as large. Thanks for the input
+MrDonkeysBreath if you have the space i would suggest using a 4th order band pass box, can sometimes be difficult but always pays off!! best of both sealed and ported, the box makes all the difference nice set up btw :) rockfords always deliver
yeah, i stopped watching because it's not a full Rockford Set up, since you have a Clarion head unit.....wow....everyone that posts these "Rockford" installs piss me off because no one has a whole system, like mine, that is ALL Rockford. Poser...

I for got to mention my 2 Red top Optima batteries
+VintageWave 93 i am neck deep in my new build you should take a look at some of the step by step videos that i have/ coming up
+MrDonkeysBreath and i like the T1500.1, wish i had whent with that amp
Yea i love that amp. Also I'll check out your step by step and your upcoming videos

Good shit man I bet that sounds great. Those constant power amps are no joke!

I don't know how old this video is, but major props man on your own build. I too have build mines from scratch.

MrDonkeysBreath will do bro
i reallllyyyyyy like what you did with the second battery, makes me wanna do it as well lol

Have you done the big three yet. It will make a BIG difference. ✌out
Yes I have(with #2), but that's all that has changed since the shoot. I have planes to change vehicles soon. So I have neglected most upgrades, like deadning the roof
i would make a bigger box mate, give it about 3.0 c.f. per speaker. it's sound louder guaranteed . nice system and good luck on your future vehicle.
you should take a look at my new build the box is a bit bigger per woofer but not buy much
MrDonkeysBreath cool dude
I have two Tod412 TO’s and oneT1000 -1bd not sure if the is a good call
how could that be a bad call, tell me more. power rf is gold

great build and clean only critique I have is invest in a better box or build one with a port that would make a hell of a difference
jason griffin built a ported one first did not like it, to big, this build is in the wind also
I need special battery for 500 watt amplifier and one 10-inch woofer?
No you don’t need one, but an agm type would be better and last way longer.
DonkeysBreath. Thx
I know Alpine is great and I know Rockford is great ,what is so different from 1 another? Is it sound ,what makes them so different?

plays clean and nice tho😎

You have your your subwoofer facing up why not make your box higher and ported ?
+junito413baby i actually have one just like that, i built it before the sealed one, it was literally twice the volume. its foot print was to large for my liking.
Okay but other then that nice set up dude stay bassin
wait 7 grand bro.. 😲 dude where did u put 7 grand..
Welcome to the Rockford club😂 some say it’s overpriced. We just say it’s worth the money cause of the quality
where the hell is the 7gs . I was expecting to at least see a bd 2500
Thank you .
I have the same bass amp and a power 400 for the door speakers. 2015 Dodge Charger.

OK. I couldn't tell if the big 3 was done in the video.
at the time of filming it was not
Good
Thanks
Nice!
Rockford amps aren't cheap and they do do the job if you run them on good electrical
i feel like most amps do the job on good electrical
better take care of the roof it will crack in the grooves on top
I got a ported box on my 15 sxreaudio but a sealed box hits harder it hits hard in ported box and it will last longer in ported box but sealed it harder because your not losing air with a sealed box

What's the battery clip called?
+RuthlessSphere I think your referring to the Anderson connector.
U need a way bigger box for those 2 could be getting way loader bass deeper with
nope this was the correct to spec size
Nice setup but new box ported box would be better, no pre-fab
Well I have booth a ported and sealed box for them. But I use the sealed more often due to practically reasons. But you are right the ported box hits lower and lower but is twice as large. Thanks for the input
700 watts in total ?
1700 or so maybe so long ago, 1200 ish rms on the bass amp at current impedance. And what ever the highs were doing
DonkeysBreath would that t1000 slam on 2 p3 10’s . 500 rms each
I'm positive it was
MrDonkeysBreath veg cgqqq

@@DonkeysBreath thanks bro appreciat3
that left speaker is wired backwards
metalman 5.56 trust me man, it was not.
might have been the camera then cause it looked off
Sealed boxes hit harder
+maleek graham im very torn between sealed or ported for my next setup
+MrDonkeysBreath if you have the space i would suggest using a 4th order band pass box, can sometimes be difficult but always pays off!! best of both sealed and ported, the box makes all the difference
nice set up btw :) rockfords always deliver

Dude u need help there’s so much you missing I will show you how u use Rockford on a future video

Where's your videos? You have none
