Oh wow Sam. That was absolutely beautiful. So clean, as well, with both instruments and vocals. An amazing production for a bedroom studio. You didn't need to go so far with the split screen effects IMO. The music speaks for itself. You really do have incredible talent, and I don't know why you are not a huge name in the world of progressive rock already. OK, I have to listen to this again. BTW I expect you know that Andrew is touring North America with Tony Levin later this year doing KC music. Robert was not interested, so they got Steve Vai onboard to do his parts. I saw KC at the RAH in 95 (I think). I live in New Zealand now and will be in New York in early September, but the Beat tour dates don't work for me. I bet you'd love to see one of the gigs though? 😀
Nick, I think you are parodying a line from Indicipline, in which case that was very clever. ruclips.net/video/tH3phKBbVLs/видео.htmlsi=C_vAP-ZbvFrs4Kw7&t=106
Amazing work, this tune is one of my favorites from 80's crimson. I've recently been working on model man and three of a perfect pair :3 keep it up! p.s. I've seen your model man cover at least a dozen times it's outstanding
They did also have a Roland GK pickup fitted to their guitars, which essentially isolates the sound from each string and allows them to be processed individually. I feel like for the most part they used the corresponding GK units to process the guitar signals through a synthesiser signal chain, as that is never going to have tracking issues and is part of why those synths were renowned for the accuracy of their tracking, but they can also convert the signal to a digital format that triggers samples and/or can be used to control an external synthesiser. They were technically using synths sometimes, but as I mentioned the results from using the six inputs as unique oscillators that are then digitally processed by the synth engine was far more reliable so the exceptions are probably limited to sounds that could only be done using the inbuilt samples (such as the strings in Dinosaur when they are performing it live)

You are great! Vocês são demais! Congrats from Brazil! Thanks for the song.
You’d think this song would be uncopyable… it is except by the virtue of supreme musicianship. Q.E.D. Thank you.
Very VERY well done Guitar and Stick parts. Do you ever plan on doing a Double Trio song?
Incredible work buddy!
Amazing cover as always!
You are a BEAST , Sammy! A kick ass tune for sure, and you nailed it all.
Awesome as always Sam 👍
Awesome work, guys! Love it!
w o w
You two have nailed it.
Great!!!
AWESOME!!
Awesome job! I'm still amazed at how 80s KC managed to avoid keyboards and do everything with 2 guitars and a stick. I guess they had synth drums…
