Aaaa… newspaper….. not towel…. Hahahaha
I have no idea when the last time was I touched a newspaper! -Chad
@@DossOutdoors well….. I’m 76 years old…. And I wasn’t thinking about not having newspapers now… all I could see was that black suet getting on that towel…… lolol.. maybe paper towels???? Haha oh, the age is the problem!!!!!! Lol
@@carolynnance2376I’m 57 and read your comment thinking to myself… “ya newspaper is best at cleaning glass” not even for a second realizing🤪😂🤣, yup must be an “age thing” 🤭hehehe
God bless y’all😇🙏🏻
Yes I have been asking where Rea got her glasses .❤
Its true try it
It walks like a cat moves like a cat.
The tail move's like a cat
It looks like a mountain lion doesn’t look like a dog!
I agree,it has a feline tail not dogs
When I saw it I was thinking mountain lion
You might have a juvenile cougar( puma, mountain lion all the same). They are very sneaky and quiet until they scream. I wouldn’t let the boys play outside alone until you have a better idea what it is. God Bless you all!
So happy that Izzy is ok. I honestly don’t know or care what was chasing Izzy. It has to GO! Poor little girl, she doesn’t need some random critter trying to hurt her. 😊 she is adorable!!!
I hope you get it and “remove” it!
Beautiful home and beautiful fire place! Thank you for sharing everything! 😊
Pumas are on the move. They have migrated. We are seeing them in Middle Tennessee and all over Kentucky. They are coming into towns.
@@sonianugent6429We are seeing them as far south as middle Alabama but they’ll tell you we don’t have them here. My cousin saw one when he was in a tree stand hunting deer. We also have black panthers that have come up from Florida. One crossed the road right at my parents house one morning as my mom was going to work.
@@sonianugent6429. Even Kansas has them
I hate to know Izzie has been scared by a predator. I hope she stays safe. It's PewPew time!
Thank the LORD Izzy is ok. She has become my favorite animal on the farm. That smacking is to cute. ❤
Chad, Not sure if you remember that I’m a Wildlife Biologist. I’ve studied and am a wee but familiar with the Puma. I know their tails are as long as their body and its girth is impressive! There are Pumas in Oklahoma however they typically reside in the panhandle and far west part of the state. That does not mean there aren’t any living somewhere on the eastern border. I slowed the video down and increased the resolution as high as I could but I couldn’t determine the species. It did move more like a cat than a canine though. The video is just not clear enough for anyone to be certain. Just know I don’t have an expertise in cats, most of my work was with canines specifically wolves. Keep that camera rolling, maybe it will come back. Take care, Doc✌🏼
I grew up just north of Tahlequah and we had big cats, both black & fawn colored kinds.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife there have been confirmed sightings in Adair, Tulsa, Mayes and Osage counties. If they are in those counties then it is safe to assume that there are Mountain Lions in other counties around those. That would mean that yes, there are Mountain Lions in NE Oklahoma.
@@amandabilger2235 Agreed! That is why I said “typically”. The majority of the cougar population is in the west.
@@vickishilling2096 There are no authenticated sightings of a large cat that is black in colour in OK. Meaning what was seen could have been a darker bobcat.
@wrinklesandsprinkles well, my whole family saw them. We lived on that part of our property from the late 60's until 1980. They were there.
Yum, I have no problem finishing your egg samwich. I Love Izzy Pig!!!
Chad, it's amazing! I was happy with the 20 , but God said it's time. Now it's 40, with room to move about the house, more animals, and happy wife and children. GOD IS GOOD! Blessings to all the family.
Amen🙏🏻
Just FYI, cougars pumas and mountain lions are the same. The name difference has to do with where they are residing.
June so beautiful like her long beautiful hair
June Bug is like,” food?” She’s so cute! Izzy really loves her food…
I LOVE to watch and listen to Izzy eat!! Guarantee for big smile!!
I tried to get Izzy recorded on my cellphone but I didn't do too well. 😮
I've always been told to stack firewood a good distance away from the house because of termites.
And snakes. We kept a tarp over the wood in winter
Lll people are also told not to put your bbq grill against the house but you see it every day @darceyschultz2370
suggestion pick up a small tarp for cleaning fireplace
lay on floor no need to ruin perfectly good towels
The wood attracts all sorts of critters. We had a firewood stacked in an open shed with an old tarp to hang across to keep it dry. We were raised being told nothing dried for less than a year. Grandma and Grandpa knew best. Gotta love farm life!
I HAVE HEARD THAT TOO. NC
YOUR CAT LOOKS LIKE A MOUNTAIN LION, puma I’m sure they are in oaklahoma. Very sleek long tail. The will stalk for days seen it happen. Just be careful. Especially piggy and babies. 👶 😊
That is a cougar or mountain lion. It moves gracefully & smooth like a big cat, and that long tail ! A dog's tail would likely be Up , not trailing down, and their gate has a bounce to it. That's my two cents !
I agree. My uncle had a pet mountain lion for years and it looks exactly the same.
I agree. Has a longer body like a cougar and coloring.
It really does look like a mountain lion. 😢
Cougar maybe. We have them here in central CA.
It’s a mountain lion btw
At first didn’t think so. But looked again and agree. The long tail. It’s a smaller one but still scary especially for the smaller animals
I’m usually not interested in pet pigs but Izzy is just so cute! ❤
It does look like a big cat. The tail gives it away, the way it moved. ❤
Yeah, I thought so, too.
I was thinking a Fisher cat. They live in a lot of states and come in different colors and sizes. Someone might look it up.
@@marilynhemingway5219 I looked up a fisher cat in Chads video it looks bigger than the pictures of a fisher cat.
It looks like a cat to me. I'm in Oklahoma 20 yrs ago. My cousin was feeding cattle. As she was leaving, one got between her and the truck when she was opening the gate. She froze in fear her 3 yr old son was going to watch her die. Luckily, it just growled at her and walked off.
My uncle called Game & Wild Life to report it. They told him they turned them loose here to help keep the deer population down. Needless to say, my uncle gave them a piece of his mind. So yep, I'd say it's a cougar.
That's a cougar
Bacon Express needs a napkin … Chad I think that’s a big cat moves to swiftly to be a dog…. 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼✌🏼
Chad that a mountain lion
Beautiful, beautiful June ....
Looks like a mountain lion with that long tail
I think maybe a cougar also. They're very long with a tail you can't miss. Go check for prints. You'll be able to tell. I had a cougar who followed me home .. In the morning, there were her paw prints by my back door!!!
June Bug is just a big ol cuddly
Izzy is like , oh mama!!
Something about stacked wood! BUT, against the house on the wood deck, is a nightmare in the making! We get carpenter ants! They ate the wall even through the drywall!
You would think that you never feed Izzy. Her and little Dude are so darling. June is still my favorite and always first or close to get cubes.
Love the fire! Izzy has such a sweet personality! June is my favorite! She is so funny ❤❤❤❤
It’s kind of intimidating when your lunch is so much bigger than you.😃❤️❤️❤️ love you little Dude. Izzie is pretty special too. Oh well, what can I say. Never met an animal I didn’t like.
Spiders are NOT animals…right ? Yes, you CAN kill them.
It looked like a mountain lion to me !! They aren't tall ❤😮
June looked she was smiling at you!
What a beautiful lady Rae is. Perfect mate for each other and the boys❤
Looks like a young cougar/mt lion. Definitely doesn't move like a dog.
You've got a Cougar.
Yes JuneBug is my favorite too! She is the last of the original animals that you had when you began near Grandpa Doss’s house! WOW! Tipsy comes in second place! That’s why it will be sad when Frank goes to freezer camp cause he was the first born on the 20 Acre Wood (yeah I know there really wasn’t a wood)! But that is farm life! also miss Cowboy and Bruce! You have done a great job building a future for the family! ✝️God Bless you all and keep you safe!❤
Can't forget stinky Bruce! What a character. 😅
I miss Cowboy SO MUCH! I’m hoping for more chickens soon.
Judging by the length of the tail and body you may have a mountain lion in your area you should go look for tracks
Several years ago I was at my girlfriends house helping her pack up her house to move to NC to her daughters, we were in the kitchen and I looked out the kitchen window and I said look at that, it was a mountain lion walking in the pasture from the woods. She said oh it’s just the neighbors kitty kitty, I said no that’s not a kitty cat so we went out to see and found tracks in the snow which were as big as my fist.
This happened in Rives Junction, Michigan.
I called the DNR and was told there were no Mountain Lions in this area.
Wrong!!!
The tail was as long as its body and it curled up.
It's a Yote. The dumpster probably lured it in. You're all doing a GREAT job!
Alot of times all I can do is just set here and SHUT MY MOUTH.
That's a cat, prob a young cougar. I live in upper east Tennessee and we have them here, I used to live in Houston TX and we had them their. It looks like a young one. I just had an alert 2 days ago there were 2 black bears in our neighborhood lol. Deer and bears are the norm here. Tourists to Gatlinburg TN flip the heck out to find them on the porch or in the drive of the chalet rentals. There are so many signs about keeping your trash in locked cans, most guys here build wooden or metal boxes that the cans can fit in. But yes the ppl flip out calling the office and going crazy. OR the crazies think oh look it's not DANGEROUS because it's sitting there eating trash🤦♀️ wild black bears.. yep it's down right funny or face slapping crazy lol. Does Izzy have a dedicated house that she can escape into? Looks like it might be such a big pasture the donkey could be on the other end and not be able to protect?? Heck I'd move that lil pig into the dog yard. I love her!! She's so little and darn cute❤
It would be hard to pick favorites but I must say Izzy, June, Frank and the donkeys.
Yes I said Frank..I just love him.
Love y'all! Stay safe and God Bless ❤❤
I’m partial to Miss. Izzy as well, not only is she adorable but her history and all tugs at my heart strings🥰
I personally think it was a fox or young coyote doesn’t look like a cat to me
That Lily is just the cutest thing
Yes W Missouri has Mt lions that come out of the ozarks. We had one in SEMO in our yard once. No one believed us until we showed them the photos. This one probably roamed from E Kentucky national forests. 😊 If it is, watch your baby donkey and calves
That's 100% a Cougar! We have them all over here in Western Oregon...You better call the game warden - 'cause that thing will get your calves quick!! We are allowed to "dispatch" them here if they are killing livestock but if they're known in the area, we call the game warden and they come and trap or shoot them. The most recent one was across the street from us about 300 yds. He killed my neighbor's goats. No bueno for farmers/ranchers like us!
Yup, you've come a long way
😂nice to come along with you❤
Love when you give snacks to the donkeys ❤
Lil Dude is soooooo cute!
Hopefully it won't be back to finish the job. Praying for her. She is adorable. Hopefully she stays safe.
Cool, you watch Matt Carriker! That window cleaner did an amazing job! So happy Izzy wasn’t hurt by whatever scared her and made her run.
It looks like a mountain lion😮
( johns wife ann ) i agree with a few here , that it does look like a big cat and not the domestic kind
We have Reolink camera's as well. They work great, but we were having the same issue at night. We put a motion sensor light near our camera's so at night we get a better shot of what's out there.
It looks like a mountain lion! Call the county and ask if anyone else has reported any around there.
Izzy is such a beautiful pig.
That little baby donkey is so beautiful. He needs a calendar showing his growth & development each month.
Love love love a fire on a cold day!!! All cuddled up❤
My sister in law lives in the mountains and has mountain lions. That looks like a juvenile Mountain Lion to me. Don't let your lil dogs out by their selves.
Love watching your site.
That's what I thought also, a juvenile Mountain Lion. I've seen one before in that area off I-44 coming from Missouri a couple years ago, so they're in that area.
I watched a video the other day a small mountain lion jumped a wall with a small dog in its mouth, happy ending the dog mom got to the wall and the mountain lion dropped the dog
@@tammycarr3777I seen a photo of one carrying a full size Great Dane dangling from its mouth. Mountain lions are very strong.
That looks like a cougar, if it is it will be back. Can you put Izzy and Lucy & little dude inside at night. Just til you find out. Gosh I do love junebug. 😊
Oh gosh do the Weiner n goose stay out at night ? Maybe put them inside somewhere for now.
I would love to have a few 90 degree days before we end up with feet of snow. Live in Upstate NY. Been in the low 40’s during the day with real feel of 35. Night has been in the low to mid 30’s. Winter is upon us.
I just love those longhorns. Thank you for sharing
Nice Uber Rae, lol. Brave woman.
Izzy says yes i do there finger licken good.😅
Hopefully you can catch the varmit.
The best way to clean the glass doors....take newspaper, get it wet and get some of the ashes out of the Firefox on it. Scrub the glass with the wet ashy newspaper. It works wonders and it's pretty much free!
Alcohol works well too.
I love June, lol, and her big tongue ! ❤
I have to chuckle at what your calling a huge tree. My husband used to cut oak and maple 3 to 4 times that size for fire wood every year. Now that he is 72 we buy it all cut and split and loving it! ....though we still have to stack 3 or 4 cord a year.
Izzy having flashbacks to the night her sisters disappeared from their pen😕
Were the donkeys not with Izzy?
Izzy is in a pen with TWO donkeys that’s fenced with tight knit horse fence (we did not do barbed wire for this very reason) it’s for small and vulnerable animals. Nothing can get through that fence unless they jump it and I can assure you a predator isn’t going to go to that effort for a pig when we have so much wildlife to eat. Maggie and Annie disappeared because they left the 20 acres completely. I was trying to avoid pinning them up. It’s a costly mistake that I regret every single day. -Rae
@@DossOutdoors God bless you Rae🙏🏻🩵🙏🏻. Izzy is living in pig paradise💖.
Izzy loves to eat she makes my day that sandwich is lip smacking good.......she's adorable 😍 😋 💖 😄 ☺️ 💕 😍 😋 💖 😄 ☺️ 💕
Great looking homestead it's coming along just fine. God bless you all.
Hi Chad Rae it Tail is long, and it moves like a large cat, I'd say it moves like a Cougar . ❤
Fireplace doors look great !!
I hope whatever that was you saw on camera isn't what scared Izzy. Now I wish you had somewhere to pen her up at night. It worries me that something can hurt her 😭
Lil Dude & the calves could be in danger if it is a mountain lion.
You know to keep your eyes open & watch your cameras!
Have a great week 😊
Blessings, Love & Hugs 🙏🙏🌹
Love 🌻 from Apex NC 💜
You have to realize Izzy is inside a pen with 2 donkeys that’s fenced with tight knit horse fence that nothing can get through, it’s not barbed wire (we did that on purpose) you would literally have to jump it and with all of our wildlife to eat, a cougar or any other type of predator is not going to care to try to get into that fence for a pig I can assure you. Especially when it has no where to hide since we took the trees out in there. Open spaces are always better and safer. Predators do not like them. -Rae

Rae thank you for replying back.
I just don't want anything to happen to Izzy or Lil Dude & I know you don't either. I'm just a worry wart!! Lol
JUNE, is making it weird!!!
You can clean the glass with the ashes from the fire. Works beautifully! No scrubbing needed.
Chad we do have mountain lions and that movie like one .
Whatever the critter is ... use pew pew!!
I was born in mountain lion country, and also worked at a large zoo. This thing walks like a coyote. Same shape too, just a darker coat.
Looked like a cougar to me due to long tail I think I saw on it.

Chad, the animal on your video looked like a mountain lion/cougar, which is the same animal. I heard you use both terms, so I wanted you to know they are the same big cat. I have been watching you from almost your start on RUclips but rarely comment, but watch the whole family's videos regularly. ❤
Technically they are actually called Puma. most just call them mountain lion, cougar, or catamount.
That's a big cat . Mountain lion . It looks young not full grown yet. Watch izzy and the babies.
Looks like a couger to me. Maybe you need a big outside dog that lives close to the house, that does seem to help make them keep a bit of distance.
After seeing that predator on cam and izzy running, would it be wise to bring her undercover to prevent any harm?
Can you see tracks? If you can take photo's so we can see them.. it reminded me of a mountain lion.. a small one.
Looks like a cougar. We have them here, near where I live. Glad Izzy is okay. Hopefully it moves on soon.
Hi sweet couple ❤ please keep my favourite piggy Izzy safe, she's so cute, did the wild cat/dog leave any tracks? I know your land is dry but there must be tracks somewhere, take care lovely family ❤❤❤ from the 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
I think Izzy is full. No hay thank you.

I’ve seen a mountain lion up close in the foothills of Yosemite… There was about 8 feet between us, scary!!! On your camera, that looked like a mountain lion, the way it moved!
The 40 is coming along so fast looks beautiful the longhorns and donkey's have a load of travelling daily keeping them busy ❤❤❤❤❤

Dampen newspaper with water. Dip in ashes. Believe it or not that cleans the glass in stove. Clean chimney yearly. My logs sit 1 yr. Cut split, burn following year. Got 3 years here now. Logs just got delivered
I second this!! It works great!!
Even just soap and water works good.
@@susie5959 soap leaves streaks 😅😅
Dusting polish works great also and smells good.
@@lindamaskus5142 not if you rinse it good. 😀
Almost looks like a cougar and I believe they have been found here in Okla. They said we are under a freeze warning here in Ponca City the next 2 days.
Just a suggestion for the glass on your fire place. If you get wet paper towel, put it in the ash in your fire place and then clean the glass with it, then wipe over with clean dry paper towel. Really easy to continually keep it clean.
I dunno, the tail on the animal in the security cam kinda looks to be long and have a swoop up like a cougar tail.🤷♀️
