Greetings from Germany. I grew up with this Naruto Opening and my brother and I always made fun about this song. But we also sang along because it was really catchy 😆
The German One Piece Opening was very good
That's basically every dub opening of every anime. I grew up with French tv so we had a lot of them and most were way too catchy for how bad they were. Hokuto no ken, city hunter, dragon ball and so many other classic anime had openings that are bangers and bad at the same time.
From Norway and my grandmother is german so had to watch german cable when I grew up, learned german from watching Naruto and remember this garbage opening too lmao, me and my sisters were singing along, it's lowkey good ngl

I'd say the biggest issue with the One Piece rap is that the first Japanese opening for the show, "We Are" is... kinda legendary. Like, it's a classic that's really easy to remember and really fun to sing along to, has a very happy vibe that perfectly fits the show, so it's just a pity that they couldn't find a way to translate it and use it.
By the way, as an Italian, ALL these big shows like DBZ/GT, Naruto and One Piece had their own local openings, some of which I'd argue are actually kinda good! I'd be curious to hear your opinion on some of those one day.
Actually in germany they had their own German ops as well including for we are and yes it wasnt we are anymore but still Dimension better than the Shit 4kids Rap and nostalgic as well
@@falco05 some of the German openings are really good, especially for Digimon, Dragon Ball and even One Piece but unfortunately Naruto didn’t get that treatment
The sad thing is 4Kids actually *did* do an English version of "We Are", but it was dropped in favor of the rap.

Music caters to lots more audiences. That's why I'm saying that if u like death note op 2 u have pretty good taste.
Tbh op 1 becomes boring and sounds like ur typical jrock "anime" song which is why I prefer op 2, love op 1 because it's iconic tho and I can imagine most people would find it easier to appreciate than op2 which goes harder and is a different sound than what we're used to. (which is why I appreciate it more than op1)
Tbh the more I listen to the OG Berserk opening the more I end up really liking it, despite it being infamous for being so bad it's good

It's not really a German Naruto opening, the German television guys just took the Australian Naruto opening, so it's Australian not German. That's also the reason why the singing is English!

The Naruto German opening is good in an ironic way while Kill Me Baby is unironically fire.
German one piece ops are actually so good, that I'd a New one before another japanese one. All ops deliver except aruguably the last one. They are SO good.
And if you ever do a "best ops" throw in Detective Conan - Die Liebe kann nicht warten / The love cannot wait

we mostly used the japanese openings with german vocals, except for a few anime like Naruto and Pokemon, so even the detective conan openings are the same in japanese just with german vocals
@@KiaraKitsune might i add, with better voices sometimes. the detective conan original voice doesn't sound so good, but the dub is the perfect pitch for it.

For me as a One Piece Fan, The English Opening sounds Catchy and fun. But One Piece German Opening, also Called die Legende (the Legend), is one of the best One Piece Openings. Of course there are still Top Openings such as Op 15, 13, 18 and of course 1 or 5, but The German Opening deserves to be one of the top.
As for Kill me Baby, the Anime is really funny, and actually it could continue According to Manga, but sadly the Anime VA for the purple haired ninja was caught using illegal stuff(a fatal crime in Japan) which it was even forced to remove her Name Off the Official Series Description. The German Naruto Opening was good, the Shippuden Pro7 Maxx Version in German However was something i wished i would never hear...
I was so shocked at the GT Opening. The Canadian one was fire, and was not at ALL like the American one.
The Canadian one used the same background music as the Japanese
We had 2 in America, the awful one from when it first aired, and an English Cover of the original opening when we got the box set

Please react to the Finnish Digimon Adventure opening by Agapio racing team. It's so bad that they had to change the dubbing team back in the day due to all the complaints made by parents. There is a remastered version up here on youtube so you can enjoy the singing in all of it's glory.
The opening that replaced Agapio is fire though.

I'm only familiar with the original Japanese openings for Naruto and I'm in America. I did bit of searching online and apparently Cartoon Network replaced the first season opening with random shots of the show and parts from other openings that don't come until later in the series since the dub version of Naruto obviously started airing much later than it did in Japan. And it has literally next to no lyrics....
Honestly I love it when an anime’s opening is just super extra. Like if it’s just too goofy or overly cool. Bonus for if the opening is nothing like the show. There was this short anime where a guy basically adopted a merman and it’s just goofy short 4 min episodes but the opening is super serious and looks like the kind of anime where every character has a tragic backstory or something and I absolutely loved that shit

i'm relatively new to one piece, i didn't grow up with it but have been a fan for a few years. but i've seen people say that the pirate rap is almost as iconic as the first opening. back in the day i'm sure everybody was being pretentious as fuck and being like, "oh the pirate rap is sooo cringe", i usually see people now saying that the pirate rap is hilarious or even hype as FUCK. easily the best thing to come out of that dub, and i will sing along every fucking time

I remember watching Baki and when that opening came on I thought I was watching the wrong show. The song grew on me though.

It's kind of hard to find bad OPs because the worst thing an OP can be is either boring or misrepresentative in a totally unintentional way. And the first is subjective, while the second involves knowing a fair bit about the anime in question, AND being able to divine intent. Like, when I say misrepresentative OP, there's two glaring examples of INTENTIONAL bullshit OPs, Death Parade and Asobi Asobase. One is kind of darkly ironic, the other is a straight-faced shitpost.
a lot of "bad" OPs are just what people find annoying. Like, I've seen the 90's Berserk OP listed, and COME ON. NO. That's gotta be a hood classic, right?
If you want a bad OP, look up the Fruit of Evolution OP from last season. The editing on it is flaming garbage, the song's really lousy, and it's trying to be funny but fails miserably.

Yes it isnt as good as we are but like a real banger nonetheless and feels so nostalgic for me because i still vaguly remember watching Alabast arc and that episode with guy stuck in a Chest. And i was like 6 or so watching it so it was over 10 Years ago when i first heared it.

Imo Op 1 is pretty good, not better than the original But it sounds like a Og Nick Cartoon intro I like it. Op 2 pretty good music But it looks like a slideshow. Op 3 cool vibe and music but the cgi like goofy. Op 4 the music and visuals are wacky and weird not bad tho. Op 5 not bad but it’s Just doesn’t feel like one piece, If watched that without watching anime I would’ve assumed it was a cool Nick cartoon with super powered pirates. Op 6 It’s weird and mispronunciation But it’s Kinda Catchy 😭 it feels like another Nick Cartoonish thing. Maybe I have bad taste but imo none of these were bad Some were either weird or had Bad visuals
My suggestion for a follow-up video would be the '97 Berserk opening "Tell me why". It's quite something.

The original singer of the 4kids One Piece Rap made an updated version with more characters added to the crew.
The Rap op from the 4kids Dub of One piece has the completly wrong vibe in compsrison to We are the actual sound which is so legendary that it even shows up in the show countless times as leitmotiv
