Lots of praise I've been seeing of this game from a lot of players, game needs a good 2nd chance, especially with the free to play option at launch.
Glad he took the time to check out the beta again, last open beta he only got to play 30 minutes before it went into maintenance and ignored the remaining beta time for the Tekken 8 beta.
I really loved the original GBFV, and rising is even better, i really loved and i'm planning on buying (even tho i suck at fighting games, my love for Katalina and Anila when i played the gacha years ago is way too high for me to ignore the game), my only complain is that cygames isn't even going to give a bit of discount for people who had the original, because this feel like more a expansion than another game, i really think they should at least give a bit of discount for people who have the original one.

@@Pyrozoid yep, they announced that gran is gonna be free for everyone plus another 3 (i think) rotating characters, the available modes are going to be ranked and the big lobby + the fall guys mode, rooms are going to be locked for people that pays tho

I'm so glad we finally got Max to look at Anila's Fury of the Ram (AKA, Bust a Wolf) and that Siegfried came out of germanic folklore to drag Max's ass back in - and the factt that he's having fun is the best part. Genuinely hope he sticks with it at least while waiting for Street Fighter's DLC and whatnot. 🧡
I wonder when will Max learn that theres a whole group of characters in Granblue that are just SNK references

for me it was always on sale, got it for friends for like 4 dollars a BUNCH of times so i think thats a skill issue on your part

Siegfried is probably my favorite in GBVSR. Cool ass design, sword, armor, fighting style (I love that he uses kicks too!), and voice. I can't wait to play him
I'm still a super novice when kt comes to GBF lore, but I main dark knight in FFXIV, so I felt a spiritual connection to Siegfried. Also dragon hunters are just cool.
I found a 22k damage Siegfried combo yesterday. It had the following:
Victim had no brave points
3 stacks of Siegfried buff.
COUNTER HIT
It starts with a Ranged H though the close H does more damage but I chose the Ranged version too make it somewhat possible to land.
H, 214+H, M, 235+H, H, M+H, H, SSBA. Very short... 22207 damage.
(I don't use numbers when usually describing combos so sorry if the inputs I listed were wrong, here's the actual moves I meant)
214 + H is meant to be the cooldown EX of the "overhead" slash.
235+H is meant to mean the cooldown EX of the projectile
Max: "This is a sue-able offence. Granblue, you guys are gonna get sued."
Granblue: "We just happen to also like fighting games. Is that so wrong?"
more like Granblue: We also have another 8 offenses. Would you like a combined lawsuit?
The character designs in this game are sooo choice. I love it. Wish I could play the game its based on.
It's free on browser anyway. They gonna enter GBF fes on december so there's more freebies and tons of pull during gachapin roulette after the live stream. And they gonna do anniversary on march so ya, another freebies and free pulls from after live stream again.
Just be mind the og one is like mmo, there are tons of grinding.
Most of the old Square's related are working on this "Granblue Fantasy" among Hideo Minaba (art director of FF9, FF12, FF Tactics etc...) and music composers like Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita :D
Any device that can run Chromium browser can play Granblue

Granblue finally getting its time in the Sun, it's still my favorite looking Arc systems fighting game, the delay hurts a little because it's going to miss the game awards but there was no way it was going to Beat Street Fighter 6 what's 1 month anyway
Next year will be Tekken 8, so unless that game tanks, its not gonna get the GotY award anyway lol

They're not dead. In fact two of them are in the game already lol he is just remembering the power of friendship trope
Essentially he drank blood from an evil dragon he killed in order to regenerate from fatal wounds and he gained super human ability from it but he gets like a cursed berserker rage where if he gets too angry he turns into the same evil dragon. His super is him losing it then remembering his buddies which snaps him out of it.

Same, the block change is weird but the game still plays fun
It's generally a very cool time to try and get into granblue or be a fan in general especially because they have a whole Fantasy game launching early next year too
This game has been really fun, some minor tuning to RS scaling, and light dash attacks being +3 or something universally and I think the game will be in a great place
Siegfried is honestly one of the coolest fighting game characters I've played, been so much fun with him
Another thing that's really interesting about him is that he's one of the few characters to have a second super, an install! I almost never use because it's kinda scary, as it takes away half your life, but just the fact it exists is awesome
If you're a fictional character named Siegfried you have to be cool as hell, it's the law lol.

Everyone in my playgroup just won while playing Siegfried.
As much as I like playing the guy I think he's a bit too strong as is.
Honestly, I just don't see a single real weakness Ziggy has..? At worst he's got bad movement speed but that doesn't really matter if your buttons are massive.
I don't think you can dodge through his projectiles (only the weird spot dodge seemed to work for me) and the tallest version of it needs to be super jumped over when every second button he has seems to anti air even deep jump ins (in my case from Vira; heck, even her install air dash isn't high enough..).
He doesn't really have shmix but he doesn't need to when he can easily win off 3 or so stray neutral hits, especially when his supers are basically full screen reversals too that seem to scale of his damage buff as well.
@@Dispensa7 You can spot dodge all of his projectiles, and he can only start another once it's gone off screen. I think his buff should cost more health, and his medium projectile should travel a bit less far. Overall though learning to spot dodge helps a lot and most beginners don't know how to do that yet.

@@Imbrisea that's what I figured, thanks for the confirmation. I still don't think it seems that interactive but it might just be the case of a tough match up for Vira, a lot of stuff seemed like it was almost made up to screw her over. Will have to lab the interactions harder once the game is out.
I played the beta for 16 hours straight it's kinda fun I guess.
Fun fact: Siegfried has an install where he awakens the dragon blood coursing through his veins, which means he *literally* has a Dragon Install.
Also a very funny thing is that Anila, the sheep girl, is part of a group called the Divine Generals (kind of a mix between shrine priestesses and magical girls) based on the Chinese Zodiac, and who have a running gag of having a lot of SNK references (mostly KoF) as part of their moveset in the gacha.
Dragon blood coursing through your veins can't be good for your blood pressure (or intraocular pressure). Hope Siegfriend talks to his doctor about it!

You'll be able to play as Gran and 3 rotating characters for free. You can do ranked and lobbies but not custom rooms.
@@tonio1193 I guess the real question is if they'll let us lab characters we don't own. On the one hand it's awesome that it's free to play, particularly since most fighting game players really only use one or two characters, but if it comes out to like $120 just so I can understand what the whole cast does then that's not great.
Edit: Ok. Did a little Google-fu. The premium edition is starting at about $50 and comes with all 28 characters. This I can live with.

i can confirm. Siegfried looks edgy but the dude is hella sweet. He cares alot about people he doesnt even know. He even is like a big brother to Danua (character that aint in the fighting game) even tho they dont talk much he is super defensive towards her.

It's not a sequel. It's sort of rework or re-release kind like UMvC3 to OG MvC3

Siegfried has a tod combo. If you follow blazblue, adroth found one
Opponent had 0 Bravery Points. Having 1BP increases damage taken by 20% and it increases to 50% with 0BP. That said, Siegfried can still do a proper ToD without needing his opponent to have 0BP. Coincidentally, I uploaded a video showcasing this today.

I'm hoping this game will act kinda as an expansion of the OG GBVS and people who already own the OG GBVS will either get a massive discount or it will be added to their accounts for free.
The latter would be like what Steam did for Skyrim Special Edition. Owners of the OG 2011 version on Steam plus all three DLC got Special Editions added to their libraries for free.
It’s a sequel and the Free version was already announced a while ago (which includes the Fall Guys game mode.) All previous players get, is the ability to transfer their GBVS save to GBVSR, when they buy it.
It will not, but you can carry over your save data for some weapon skins and story progress unlocks.
If only he was blonde with white armor, than he would literally be Seigfried.

my least favorite part about granblue versus was the combo limit...and it's back
the combo abuse thing was figured out ages ago, just put more damage scaling at that point so people with the skills can do bigger combos without too much extra damage but they can still optimize shit and express themselves

The additions to this game seem great, but at the same time they are additions. Why is this a separate game? I thought it will be a paid expansion to the base game or something, but it's a whole separate game which means they are going to most likely charge full price.
That would be fine for example if only the characters are similar since that happens often in fighting games, but here the stages and music seem to be the same as well as the graphics.
Why the hell did I buy the original game. It was dead due to poor networking a few months after it came out and now that it has a second chance at life I have to pay for the same stuff again.
I'll just wait for Tekken 8.
It isn't full price, it's $50 (and there's a FTP version). They mainly made a new game to get out of the stigma the first game had. And to regain the hype a new game gets no matter what

@@nekotorin What gameplay? The moves of the original characters seem the same. There are balance changes and changes to some mechanics but this is cheap to produce compared to making new animations. The story is not marketed as new, it just says go on an epic 3 part adventure. The original game had some story updates and boss flights one of which was against a dragon. The same dragon I see in the new trailer when they are mentioning the story. I hope it's actually new and not a cobbled together version of the original story plus the updates.
There is an overall lack of official information on what is going on here and how this release will be handled. So I can be wrong and I hope I am, but I've seen enough scummy industry tactics and corporate talk to notice something doesn't feel right here.
If you don't own the original game this is a great deal, it just feels like a slap in the face of people who bought the original on release.

I'm asking you this question coz you seem to think GBFVSRising isn't worth the $50 especially if you bought the original game and its DLC.
One character DLC is $7, there's 4 new characters in Rising for base roster so thats $28. Then you have a completely new story + GBFVS original story. Then you have several gameplay changes that practically changes how you play this game compared to GBFVS. Then you have more new stuff such as GranBruise and better Netcode and Crossplay.
I think you're undermining how much new stuff is in the sequel. Then you're fricking excited for Tekken 8 when you can put in the same issues you said for it since it looks similar to Tekken 7 heck they recycled Noctis' moveset to another character lol
I'm just sayin that Fighting Games have been doin this for ages. Pretty weird to blast out GBFVS when everyone else also does it.

Thats how i feel about street fighter. Nothing about the game interests me. Only if they made 3rd strike with 2.5D graphics like strive or this game. But hey they said this is like if street fighter were an anime fighter 🤷🏽♂️

But im not bashing this game or street fighter 3rd strike. I just want to know the difference in mechanics from this to guilty gear
@@taryngotclout6013 guilty gear is more of a anime fighting game. Things like double jumps, blocking in the air, left/right cross ups, and bigger combos are also more of a thing. This is more like strike throw if im not mistaken. Bought the 1st version of the game but didnt play it much since it kinda flopped due to covid.

Still not understanding of this game, but that’s most likely due to me never coming into this series, I’ve messed with street fighter 6 and enjoyed it, and was very casual in the third strike scene, appreciate it bro

I had a little fun with this game but the fact that 90% of the roster is either indistinct anime twinks or indistinct anime waifus really hurts it. The visual styles just simultaneously overly busy yet visually uninteresting.
It's a common problem with gatcha stuff.
@@nyarancia I watch an absolute crapton of anime and play a crapton of anime games. It's extremely generic. It's got the same style as every gatcha game.
Everything is just plastic, and busy yet notably indistinct.

Granblue specifically is the most generic looking anime product I have seen in a very long time. It has a much weaker artistic direction than it's peers.
I watch many anime. Many are unique, granblue specifically is not. It has very poorly designed and overly generic characters with a plastic sheen. This kind of low quality art is specifically seen in garbage gatcha products most frequently, like fate stay/unrecognizable title or genshin impact. The kind of drivel with no meaningful cultural or artistic impact outside of a hyper obsessed niche of people.
Anime like Akira, trigun, hxh, one peice, jjk and many others have unique art styles and strong artistic direction so I like them.
Hopefully that was clear enough for you this time. If I'm any more verbose I'm going to hit the character cap.

If you lined it up with a dozen other gatchas I couldn't tell it apart.
Hxh also has an extremely unique style even in the manga.
