another way i pick up pitches is by looking at the pitchers wrists. when he throws a fastball, you see the whole bottom of his wrists. when he throws a curveball, you see the outer half of his wrists. just another quick tip! great vid!
We train with a guy that spent 30 years in the majors as a coach and GM and he told us to never concentrate on a pitchers hand because you’ll be late picking up the ball.He says the same thing as the coach,a window around the hand.
🔥🔥🔥when I get in the box I make sure I look at the fence and the pitcher on and off to get better depth perception just like you look at the bat and the fence. Everything you said is spot on with our everyday training man 👍👍👍👍
Hey coach thanks for filling in on my request. i had a game the day you posted it and the pitcher threw a hard change-up and I smashed over center field fence. I wouldn't have done that with out your vid and also my batting average is .280 now. I can't thank you enough. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm exaggerating but it really did help me. Keep it up! 👍
I live outside of Corpus Christi, always had a love for baseball and advancing my game, anyone know when the hooks are having open tryouts? Much appreciated.
My 13yearold has same issues! Does good in practice when coach throws to him to block but in game still back hands! To his credit its just surprise fastballs that get him cause he anticipates off speed!!!
Let’s be honest, justin has made every one of us a better player
I appreciate that!!

I was taught the soft/hard focus being an umpire so I don't blink on the pitch. I use that for catchers too. So important.

Thanks for watching man! That depth perception trick is a major key - never knew about that when I was growing up.

Nice coach thank you for a lots of idea.
Thankyou! I play softball, but the main ideas of this video work for it as well, even though it is different pitching. This has really helped!
I like that with depth and perception!! :)) Never heard about it. Have to try it, and try to tell my players.
Have you done a video on positioning in the batters box. What is a good rule of thumb

Just what I needed👍
Do you think you could make a video on the mechanics and footwork of athletic plays like charging in and having to pick the ball
Yes plz
Thanks coach, my 12u team is having a hard time recognizing pitches early. We’ll try this today.
Can you maybe make one about base running footwork please.
Yes plz
Great Video!
Thanks man! 👊🏼
I'm done playing now man - just coaching and building Ultimate Baseball Training full-time!
Great video and keep it and good one its so true even all my coaches agreed so yeah really helpful good job
Guy is a genius
Outstanding!
Thanks Stan!
do u think it’s bad if players change there usual batting stance or is it fine as long you are hitting gappers
It's not bad to make occasional changes. Stick with what works! As long as it doesn't cause any issues with your swing
As an Umpire I do all those things
Soft focus - Hard focus
Hello
