OG Baja Blast needs its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
I'm in favor of the Hollywood Walk of Fame being nothing but consumer goods, tbh. Well, that and maybe toss Macaulay Culkin and Billy Mays a spot.
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule now THAT would be something
That may be the only way to get me back on the west coast. Haha.
I miss the Gamer Fuel branded flavors.
That sherbet Game Fuel coming out should be legit, though.
I actually looked up when the Mountain Dew logo was changed to Mtn Dew because I was curious, and it looks like it was 2008 when they first introduced it, with all the novelty flavors having the new logo starting in 2011
Good info. Thanks for looking that up... I knew it definitely wasn't the 90's, but the early-mid 00s is a timeframe I have very little recollection of what was going on with products.
Baja Punch literally tastes the same as Typhoon from the past. Flash is also too similar to Maui Burst. Underwhelming in my opinion
Funny thing is - I've had all of those flavors and have zero recollection of any of them. My food/drink memory is usually on point, but Dew flavors never stick with me.
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule Fair enough, I usually try every new flavor just once for the experience. Typhoon was part of democracy a while back, same flavor too, fruit punch. Not sure if you had Maui burst but believe its a dollar general exclusive
Maui Burst was just pineapple, so definitely tasted a bit different. We covered it on Lightning Round 19 apparently and I really liked it: ruclips.net/video/PQX-IZ8l3a0/видео.html
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule must've missed that episode. But yeah that was one of my favorite flavors, especially since it came in a can
Baja Blast is a colour that no food should really be. It's like drinking an original Bondi Blue iMac from 1997.
Don't pretend you wouldn't, though
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule I'd certainly think different afterwards
Bravo.
Didn't know there were different varieties! Love the original myself.
Yeah, the original is solid, but I'm definitely happy to see it turn into a line of drinks, albeit for a short time.
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule Going to have to try them!
The Baja flash is amazing and the Baja punch taste like Pepsi blue
I don't know, man. I thought the Punch was better than Pepsi Blue.
At store and randomly spotted the Baja Flash…get home and see this video posted! That never happens. 🤣
Nice timing. Did you grab one?
@@ConsumerTimeCapsule yep… got it and I had the same reaction as you guys. MEH- it was okay-ish.
Been a fan of Mtn Dew and Baja Blast in particular for many years, just had the Baja Flash a week ago, and I was surprised, since I've been saying for a while that there should be a pineapple or pineapple coconut flavored Dew. Tastes amazing. Also, I have to ask: where'd you get that USA Curling shirt?
Just got and tried the Baja Punch. Its pretty good, the orange flavor with the classic Baja taste.
If they could make a diet soda that tastes 100% as good as the original, would they do it? There's a lot of room for diet soda innovation but big sugar would probably suppress it.
:28 Says that while I'm holding a can of Baja Blast Zero Sugar in my hand.
Solid.
Maybe your taco bell doesnt have zero sugar Baha blast, but I've been to a few that offered it
Good to know. I haven't been to a Taco Bell since the last time we filmed at one, so it's been a while.
