I bought one of these last night from Walmart and tried it in the car the craziest thing happened I'm 28 I instantly remember the flavor from when I was a kid and I swear I instantly thought this was the original Mountain Dew blue flavor until last night then I realized it was Pepsi Blue and I had confused the Blue Mountain Dew with the Pepsi blue all these years I love the Blue Mountain Dew but all these years I've been wishing it went back to the original flavor and come to find out it was Pepsi Blue all this time I've been thinking of. I turn the car around went back to Walmart and spent. $38.67 on a bunch of Pepsi Blue they need to keep Pepsi Blue as the new flavor
I wish my Walmart carried this. It's nowhere to be found where I live. It was good that you stocked up while you can cause it won't be around very long.
@@joelnert yeah that's the bad part I hope it do good for them to leave it as one of their regular flavors now. Pepsi got a lot of different flavors around the world that's why I think Pepsi really should do a special 2 International flavors release a month for people to be able to try different flavors cuz sometime I'm able to order International flavored Pepsi from another country off eBay but the price for 1 can or bottles is marked up high
Bought a six pack today, plus a single bottle to have then and there. I really dig it, never tried it when it came out because I must’ve been like 1 or 2 years old. I remember seeing some product pictures of it online years later and it always intrigued me. Much like Crystal Pepsi did. I mean that label alone was killer, and with blue being my favorite color it made it even more intriguing. But yeah man, it pretty much lived up to my expectations. Like you said in the video, gonna try and buy up as much as I can.
In the late 2000's (probably around 2007 or so), I downed a botle of black-cherry SoHo from 1982 ...it had a musky taste, but I finished it, with no obvious consequences. :3
I have a sealed bottle of original Pepsi blue. i have kept it in my basement for 20 years. For some reason the bottle is smashed like there is a vacuum inside sucking in the sides and its still sealed but all deformed. Does anyone know how to get it back to its original shape without opening it?
I wish Coke would do this because I'd like to try New Coke again. When I was a kid I couldn't taste the difference, and Coke _supposedly_ brought it back a couple years ago but I never saw it. I'm bad with soda taste tests. I can't tell the diffence between Coke and Pepsi, and I drank Mexican Coke with real sugar instead of corn syrup and didn't even notice it.
About 500,000 cans of New Coke were produced for the promotion, to be sold mostly online. So many people were eager to buy it, however, that the volume of orders crashed the Coca-Cola website. Many fans complained because they wanted to order some, and the company apologized for the delays on social media platforms. It was also available in select vending machines in cities such as New York and Los Angeles. According to Wikipedia
I remember the original tasting just as bad as this stuff now maybe it's even worse now it has a nasty after taste in my opinion Mountain Dew Voltage is way better.
Talk about amazing kinda wish they kept the old label
"Ok That's not good"...proceeds to take another sip
and then downs the whole bottle
Wow. I never thought it’d come back! My dream soda! But you’re insane driving that much of the old one :)
It was so cool , it deserves more views
The mad Men actually did it. They brought back one of my most beloved sodas

Any video that ends in puking is worth watching a second time!
You can say that again.
🤮
What month and day exactly did the 2002 Pepsi Blue bottle expire?
Probably in the fall. So Maybe late October?

Why would you drink something almost 20 years old and expect it to taste as it would back in 2002? Smfh
I saw them at my local Walmart... I almost lost it that they actually brought this drink back
I tried looking at Walmart, nothing
@@seanjuth Try any gas station or Vons stores has them
@@VenomHernandez Are you from SoCal?
This was my favorite soda for lunchtime during high school
Its 19 years past the expiration date but you still drank the whole bottle.😬

Joel - Found you! Love the educational videos as well as Joel being Joel videos
You certainly found me. Welcome my old friend.
*Correction* the reason it was discontinued is because there’s a chemical agent in B1 which is the colour dye which is band in most country’s
Please make a taste test/ review playlist!! I could fall asleep to your voice🙃
Thanks. For now check the end screen, there are 4 more related taste tests that should come up in the final seconds.

Wait, is drinking a 19 year old soda safe? Waits until end
Question answered!
I have to admit this is way better than Pepsi regular js
Your channel is new to me. Are you a Pepsi lover like me!? Also where in Idaho do you live? I love the Governor parody you did! 😂😂
I found a bottle like 20 mins ago it’s so good dude

I don't think it can be. It's due to carbonation escaping the bottle. My bottle suffered from the same thing before I drank it
@@SpicyDirtREAL ok, i guess if im going to save pops try to but glass/metal, which are hard to find as most are plastic
We got rid of it because it didn't sell. I'm shocked Blue was re-released before Josta. But MCU will help resurrect the latter for 2022.
I love that Mobius is a Josta fan!
I never had the chance to try the origional so I missed out...my time has come!
all these pepsis look so cool
Honestly pepsi blue was alright as a soda but as a soda float its delicious
I miss Pepsi blue from Hungary!
The last time I tried it was in 2002!
Sooo... you looking to sell that original empty bottle?
Naw, I'll keep it. I have a big collection of Pepsi stuff.
Pepsi Blue winner
Lol great video glad to see a comparison
Now if we can get Pepsi lemon twist back!!!
I got my hands on one of these. All I had to say about it was “eh” it tasted like Colgate blue toothpaste.
Love the reloader!
I got this today, it's so good.
Where did you find it?
Just get this at Walmart they have them in 6 pack bottles. As for the soda it's alright good carbonation and light gummy worm flavor.
i explain it as gummy bear soda
There's an expiration date for a reason! Wow 🤦♀️
Turns out.
the fuck? old pepsi blue has only 25g of sugar in the old one while the new one has twice as much with 69g and added sugars?
Bro why did u chug a 20 year old drink like that

it was only a promotion for stranger things.
Is that City of Wahoo sign Wahoo, NE?
Sure is
Lol how crazy? I'm in Lincoln, originally from Omaha. Are you a Nebraskan?
I literally went to shoprite and got a six pack
Tried the Pepsi Blue, not great. For me, there was a real bad aftertaste at the end. Not a fan.
i came to late for pepsi lime i hope i make it for pepsi blue
HOW THE HELL DID THEY DO THIS COMMERCIAL WITH ALL THE RULES IN PLACE ??????? I THINK ITS FINE, JUST SAYING THOUGH, THINK ABOUT IT!!!!
Saying you had to look everywhere but not telling your viewers where why??? Good video tho
Most places have it, but in this corner of Washington for some reason is really hard to come by. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@joelnert its the best soda in history but the flavor back then was more smooth its more stronger now but still the best have you tried mango Pepsi
