Anthony Albanese ‘waffling’ about nuclear energy

- Sky News host Steve Price criticised Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s comments on nuclear energy during an interview on Sky News Australia.
“Our Prime Minister, who turned up on Sky this morning … to waffle on about how this was reckless, uncosted and dangerous," he said.
“Anthony Albanese was having none of it, sticking to his talking points and trying to make it about Peter Dutton, not about energy at all.”
The only one in a fantasy land in Albanese. Peter Dutton is a leader something Albo will never be
Poor ALBO has nothing left in the locker than lies lies more lies and deception
just the dust on the floor politics, assange was incuded in the desperation of a highlight within the Kaos
LIES are like flies once one comes to the dung pile it them begins to MULTIPLY his lies are doing just That
So according to Albo, we should never have developed a car industry, an IT industry, a mining industry, a banking sector, a construction industry. Because at some point in time in the past, we never had one. So according to Albo's mentality, we are stuck like Peter Pan in the past, never able to grow up. He's assuming that because he's the PM, that he's the smartest person around. Far from it. We have engineers studying degrees in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, chemical, civil engineering as well as physics. A nuclear engineering degree would be a combination of physics and aspects of other engineering disciplines. It wouldn't be hard to set up, borrowing from the world renowned unis like MIT and Stanford curriculum for example. In the same way we have set up new degrees such as petroleum and mining engineering, a nuclear engineering degree would be possible. Technological expertise would be shared in the same way that it is in the defence sector.
The problem is we have a PM who believes that no one can ever be as smart as he is. Well, news flash. A lot of us already are.
B.E. (Mech)
Me too. BE Hons mech Melbourne Uni in 1997 and shake my head at Albo
Albo thinks woke builds a country. Where has that got Australia? More divided than ever now a nation of tribal identities
What about all the Cowboy tradies in this country?
We most certainly are!
No to Labor and No to Green, we vote these people out, i am sick of this government.
Add to that the Teals
Rember Albo fluffed the Voice, giggled at the tennis, sang at Taylor Swift...he's a shocker..we need leadership 😮
The only money Albo is interested in is his pay pack
And making trouble so that Australia is held back while it and the unions are still having a great time at our expense.
bet you he takes bride to PARIS in new JET last big free-bee and gets hitched ""boy imagine a uu'm and ee'r on the vow part of the service.
Like every socialist he throws peoples money at every pet thought bubble, until all your money has gone.

This representatives behaviour is beyond reprehensible . No way a PM.
Kick the tool out...never ever vote Labor
rain explosions suit you do they. Seeing that Dutton has no idea where the nuclear waste is going to be kept perhaps someone of your obvious intellect could advise him.
They call it gas lighting!!!!!!
Only problem we are currently running low on gas
Albanese ,you just got a massive pay rise and plus all the money you spent on your holidays now you are talking about it's so expensive to have a Nuclear power🙄
Plus he has given billions of dollars away overseas
@@johntreherne297 i would assume so too
Also bipartisan support for the hundreds of billions on the safe and effective.
Labor seem to be saving our resources for corporations and china, not using them for the benefit of citizens
Do they get kickback $ or something ?
spot on
Our current popular delusions based energy policy is ludicrous.
We squander hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayers money and resources on uneconomical and unreliable renewable energy projects whilst simultaneously exporting large quantities of coal, natural gas and uranium to other countries which use these resources for the production of cheap reliable energy.
We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord and use the most economical energy resources available.
@@johngeier8692 Youre correct. This whole climate nonsense, is being pushed by the country that makes %75 of the worlds solar panel components, and had six of the worlds top ten wind turbine companies.
Oh so true. And probably selling them the rights. Just like our water. Disgusting. Open for abuse.
So Albo told us why they don’t release costings, thanks Albo for telling us why you haven’t released your full costings 😂😂😂
Why is Labor hiding renewable costing?
I believe if they revealed their costings and it was revealed nuclear is cheaper than what Labor is spending on renewables, his popularity will plummet
A wind and solar based energy grid is prohibitively expensive, impractical and totally unnecessary.
Net Zero is economically destructive delusional insanity.
The politicians who are colluding with need to be voted out. They are acting contrary to the national interest.
"Waffling" Albanese going with his strengths.
more like babbling
What’s worse he sounds drunk with that slur in his speech. And if that’s not bad enough you can never get a straight answer from him and have to listen to him waffling on.
Dutton, has a permanent home in Albo's head, causing him constant stress and angst.
Didn't Albo hide details of the voice, saying he'd reveal them, only after it was voted in, which thankfully it wasn't; but Albo and the state premiers, are still going ahead with their own agendas, without informing everyone who voted "NO"?
This PM is unhinged and he knows he’s in strife
He does not do the due diligence expected of a Prime Minister.
He continues to collude with economically and socially destructive popular delusions.
There is no looming climate crisis.
Wind has a low energy density and wind power is centuries out of date. Renewable energy in its current form is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
Nuclear power plants are safe and can be constructed in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost with the correct planning, regulation and construction contractors.
like a door in the wind
OMG he is so embarassing.
Albo has 🥚 on his face.
he need to be in a special school, i cannot even put up listening to him
💩🤣
The Voice cost us tax payer 350 million, and now he is claiming nuclear is expensive.
...last I heard $450m, mostly focussed on the Yes vote.
Who told that fool of PM that he had a sence of humour, and whats the cost of his and bowen in the winds suggestion
Listen to Albanese's voice. He nervous talking about nuclear because he knows he's going to lose.
Albo show the costings of your renewables. Nuclear is cost effective in the long run.
Nuclear is the most expensive energy source. Is anyone stupid enough to think it will HELP with the cost of living?
Since when do pollies care about expensive? You have hundreds of thousands of public servants many many of whom are on 300k to 900k. Politicians and govt IS the cost of living.
@@kenwaugh7it probably won’t help you Ken , but it definitely will for future generations 😉
Net Zero is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
Wind has a low energy density and is wind power is centuries out of date. Wind farms only exist due to massive taxpayer funded subsidies. They make no economic sense. They are a colossal waste of taxpayers money and resources (including coal, oil and copper).
Solar panels are only economical as a supplement in sunny areas between the 35th parallels. Even in favourable areas there is a major mismatch between peak supply and peak demand. Inclement weather can render them useless for prolonged periods.
We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord and use the most economical energy resources available. Nuclear power is safe and reliable and should be legal in this country.
We have huge amounts of coal and gas .This is currently the cheapest safest proven technology. We should have the cheapest energy around and makes discussion on nuclear redundant.
This is why the greens and Labor need to be sacked once and for all.
And coalition
Albo looks like he is approaching his 80’s rather quickly.
I hope so good reddens
Let him age quickly it's all the weight of his fat salary weighing on him.
Lying is stressful and ages you prematurely. I am 93 and look better😅
Age 80's or eggs ?❤
And just how accurate or complete were Albo's costings?
They were never provided.
I turn off when Albanese talks. All lies, imaginations & BS. He just makes it up. Fact checking catches him out all the time.
I tried frying an egg on the footpath last summer but it didn't work--next time, 'll try it in the daytime.
He looks like he's on the ropes to me....look at that body language - he can't hide it. I'd say he's not sleeping too well ATM...
He doesn't know whether he's Arthur, Martha or Dorothy!!!
I believe he is leaning toward Dorothy.
Definately Dorothy
Dorothy on a Saturday night and Martha on a Sunday night.
Albo is a total screw up
He couldn't even sort out one little outback town. Forget about running a country 😊
The LNP is drip feeding details on it's nuclear which seems quite appropriate for this drip of a PM to absorb.
An awesome comment. Top marks for you 👍👍👍
Yes, it was slowed down to the basics and he never heard a word "opposition", "fried eggs", "too expensive"! 😵
Is this a comedy skit ? … this guy is definitely not fit to be our PM , what a clown ! The reasoning, the way he speaks etc .. OMG 🙄
Full frontal

He has learned nothing from the failed Voice campaign, ideology is not what Australians want.
Albanese is showing what a not that bright career politician who never held a job what's best for Australia time to end the Labor nightmare.
How many countries use nuclear power again ?
According to Labor they are all insane 😮
He is not only a disaster but a nightmare
albo scissor mouth "cuts up the truth"
We havent seen any costings for albos renewables
That would scare the pants off all of us ,plus replace them all every 10-15 years
The “plan “ is prohibitively costly (capital costs, maintenance and depreciation), impractical (massive amounts of raw materials and construction required) and totally unnecessary (there is no crisis with the climate looming).
We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord and use the most economical energy resources available.
Could not melt an ice cream on the footpath this week in Canberra.
Just let Albo waffle, the more he waffles the better off we are, people are not stupid like he thinks 😂😂😂. He looks very nervous or he needs to go to the bathroom ASAP 😂😂😂
The bloke is a absolute joke and needs to go
I think Albo and his clowns are in panic mode now.
Albanese has no costing a and he lies about the cost of what he has already spent
I GET CRINGED EVERY TIME IS SEE ALBANESE .....CAN YOU RESIGN ALBANESE PLEASE JUST GO
The Lucas Heights reactor didn't seem to give us any problems here in Australia, so it seems only logical to expand on the knowledge we have gained from there. Wind and solar depend way too much on the weather. Interesting, PM, we don't have sunshine out at night. I believe the comfortable temperature is less then 15 degrees for sleeping let alone the high humidity that is common in summer in some areas.
Does ANY Australian accept anything Albo says as "fact" hahahahahahaha.
I tend to think there is possible merit in the complete opposite to anything he says.
No no no
This guy and his crew are laughable…
Imagine smelting steel in Australia again?
The main effect of Net Zero is the transfer of wealth and resources from Western countries to developing countries (including China).
It is economically destructive delusional insanity. We need to withdraw from the Paris Accord and use the most economical energy resources available.
Albanese should take his PM pension & perks & do us all a favour & retire. Fancies himself as a tory debater. What a joke.
That’s great I will get rid of my gas stove and use the footpath
He doesn't have a clue about reality, very very out of touch. Comparing our energy to an IKEA flat pack, what a fool!
He fell Flat on his face with his Ikea Flatpack joke. Then the little Snow Flake comes up with a bedtime story "Snow White"! Stop trying to be a comedian and try to be a P.M. 😢
This PM is a total disaster.
Labor are a cast of extras for the Bugs Bunny Show.
Labor and greens are not mature enough to have this debate
Albo is a joke has no idea.
Was -2c yesterday morning in outer east suburbs... climate getting colder
Thank God Greata is in hiding
Its called global warming!😊
Warming means colder now, apparently.
The world is full of retards.
The current mean annual surface temperature of Earth is suboptimal. Deaths from hypothermia greatly exceed those from heat stroke.
A modest amount of warming would increase agricultural yields, reduce winter heating costs and reduce deaths from hypothermia.
The economically destructive delusional insanity of Net Zero will increase both cold and heat related deaths as poor people will not be able to afford either heating or air conditioning.
Albo is just so negative and his costings are BS.
Albo’s brain is an egg and it’s definitely fried.
Labour is afraid, in panic, and again Albo is stacked in the past…useless, pathetic…they be voted out.
He forgot to mention his poor mother, or was that her fried eggs? 😏
Did you enjoy your breakfast this morning, Albo? Were the eggs cooked?
Don’t think he ate them, seemed busy wearing them on his face
@@knight2425 🤣
Proven liar in all he says/promises.
Each Way Albo has never moved beyond student union debating style. As Steve points out,his reasoning is puerile & the Labor Party is a danger to our future.
Can Albo and Bowen tell us how much their fairy tale has cost the tax payers so far ?
The habitual liar Albanese has proven himself not to act in the national interest.
He's not working for Australia at all! 🤔
Hey Albo, Everything is expensive because of your inflation. A family car will be $100,000 by 2030 if we are allowed to have one.
Usually in summer at night when its still 30 degrees C and a/c is needed to run with no solar
Vote the labour losers out
How about the costings for the Aboriginal Industry every year?
Can't listen to Albo's negativity, lies, showing total inflexibility as to any subject-it is more than logical to use all available options-fullstop
Albo speaking bs about something he has no qualification to talk about
Albo qas always going to be negative about nuclear energy, he was backstab Dutton like he did with Morrison...
Mr Morrison signed us up for the economically destructive delusional insanity of Net Zero in the first place. It is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
Mr Dutton needs to repair the damage done by this economic vandalism. He needs to make it official LNP policy to withdraw Australia from the Paris Accord and use the most economical energy resources available.
Nuclear power plants should be legal in Australia, however, if coal fired power plants are cheaper, then we should build them like the Chinese, Indians and Indonesians.
Summer ain't the best time for solar PV panels. The intense heat lowers their efficiency and shortens the life .
Is Albaneses speech getting worse?
He waves his hands about when he’s in selling mode. I ain’t buying.
He's missing his lace gloves and party dress! 🤡
His intelligence is summed-up in any episode of the Simpsons.
Bad mouthing anyone is his extent of a debate.
The chip he carries on his shoulder must be noticeable to the most ardent ALP supporter.
They need a nuclear energy industry to service the nuclear submarines they are going to build...
We live in a country where we could literally have FREE energy EASILY by taking 10-20% of all energy resources harvested ( coal, gas, uranium ) instead of letting these mining companies evade paying any tax through the profit / loss loop.
$110 billion of WA gas goes untaxed overseas because of McGowan. He made the law, resigned and now works for them. A gas tax would pay for the Nuclear powerstations, Also Hospitals and schools plus much much more.
Australians all of us particularly our young people are smart enough to see through the lies of Labor. Australia needs a 100 year energy plan NOW. Looking at every available option. I can see that frying egg splattering all over Albos smug face, Some of it will splatter all over his idiotic team. You can see fear in his lying eyes. Fear that sooner or later Australians will be sick enough of their lies to act and even his party may turn on him.
We need to withdraw from the Paris accord and use the most economical energy, transportation and agricultural resources available. The UN has been hijacked by activists who want to deindustrialise the Western world and transfer resources to developing countries (including China).
The most cost effective solution for Australia would be to build more coal fired power plants like the Chinese, Indians and Indonesians. Nuclear power plants should be legal in Australia. The current ban is ludicrous and needs to be repealed. It was enacted by radiophobic Luddites.
The "young" people(ones with any brain) are also well aware that it is near impossible to buy a house these days because of policies implemented by the LNP/coalition. That's more important to them right now.
Your either on board the NUCLEAR train or out of office. I as many will, only consider voting for the party that doesn't just talk about Nuclear but has a clear plan for its establishment in Australia. I want to see solar and wind succeed but as an investor in these companies will never invest in green energy again after losing substantial amounts because too many things go wrong. Apart from the obvious no wind and no sun, solar has a habit of catching fire and also doesn't like hail and guess what we have recently had some big hail storms. When you have to constantly renew the renewables how cheap will that be compared to a build and forget NUCLEAR power station. Come on labour get with the 21st century or stop pretending you are visionaries.
Net Zero is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
Though hi rants outrage us as they emerge, this recorded record of his stupidity is priceless. Keep it on file.
What will the extra 26000 km of transmission cost. How much virgin bush will need to be bulldozed. How many native animals will be killed on an ongoing basis. What happens when an exploding proprellor starts a bushfire in a remote area. How much life will it destroy and how many tons of carbon will it release. How many props and panels will be needed, what will they cost, how often will they need to maintained and replaced and how many are made with slave labor.
Dutton reckons its 28 000 km of transmission lines. That is a LIE! Look up AEMO and they say that Australia needs 10 000 km of transmission lines by 2050 for a cost of about 20 billion dollars. Also dutton's nuclear power stations will be built on old coal fired power station sites that were built up to 50 years ago. I reckon they might have to spend a bit to upgrade the transmission lines coming from these sites.
If you have any information about where the 28 000km or 26 000 km of transmission lines comes from please let me know as I would be most interested in reading about it. And please don't quote Sky News.
If is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary.
It is fantastic delusional nonsense which needs to be urgently abandoned. The effects of such ludicrous policy are evident in Germany which is deindustrustrialising .
YES! Absolutely Legitimate Questions, we will have to work that out ourselves unfortunately! A wind farm storm has just polluted and destroyed the entire towns water supply in America! Our trees are already gone, but not used for housing! Count 10 years and they will need more room for replacements and places to store the used ones! 👺
Could you explain the Dutton lie that 28 000 km of transmission lines are needed. Where did you get your totally false information from? If you look up true facts AEMO has stated that 10 000 km of transmission lines are required to be built by 2050 at a cost of about $20 billion. Some of this has already been built. How much will it cost to upgrade the transmission lines from the 50 year old coal fired power stations Dutton wants to turn nuclear?
@@andrewjoy7044 10000km to replace 45000km together with batteries and pumped hydro is a utopian engineering dream. And what is the opportunity cost of companies leaving off shore for reliable energy. What is the cost of environmental destruction for new easements and the visual pollution. What is the time span and replacement cost of propellers and panels and what will be done with them. What if Chine won't sell us the infrastructure or if there are shortages.
Trying to hide the costing if that’s not the pot calling the kettle black.
Ahhh Magoo, you’ve done it again. 😂

He mentioned that it was "uncosted", Pricey. The very thing that most Australians are concerned about paying for in tax. The Cost. How much MORE Australians will pay for electricity if they were getting their power from nuclear. Something that Benito has neglected to mention in his announcement.

You can cook a egg on the foot path, let the memes begin.
I can't believe what I am hearing.
Nuclear power is inescapable since it is the only feasible alternative for meeting Australia's energy needs if coal-fired power stations are to be replaced. Renewables have already cost around a trillion dollars and are unreliable, making them unsuitable for large enterprises that require consistent baseload electricity. Unless there is a two-tier system in which large corporations and wealthy individuals receive uninterrupted power because they can afford the rising prices, while you continue to experience frequent blackouts, constantly repairing your Chinese-made solar panels, and waiting for the wind to blow to power your house on a part-time basis.
Is this F-WIT DAF or just drunk?? A PM that has no idea at all... 🤦♂
