Imagine being in a position where you call on Bruce to make a guitar solo, AND HE DOES IT. How did that guy's heart not explode from happiness? Bless him!
Nick, There will always be haters. But for all of us that were there, it was just simply amazing & historic. I'm glad I was able to capture it for all to see. I have shown this to many people who were not there and they also get caught up in the excitement. Thanks again for having the guts to go through with it!
Who could possibly hate on this? The Bruce solo, the transition to Blue Suede Shoes, and Bruce playing out the song after Elvis leaves stage. That brief sequence lit the place on fire. How incredible.
My husband was at this show in Philadelphia. I remember him telling me about this guy who was dressed as Elvis in the crowd and Bruce called him up on stage. Philly Elvis is awesome just like Philly Jesus!
I can personally say this was not planned. Elvis was in the lottery line with all of us 4 hours before the concert started. He was lucky enough to be a low number in the lottery. Also, look at Bruce shrug his shoulders, Nils is cracking up and Max kind of rolls his eyes. Bruce knew he had to regain control after Elvis started Blue Suede Shoes. It was just spectacular.
Guys and gals.. this is hilarious and is from the movie Springsteen and I. This was this guys life long dream to sing on stage with Bruce. Great story he tells!1 The Philly Elvis!
This has made me smile..really enjoyed it..jesus,to get to sing with Bruce & the e-street band...id walk a hundred miles backways wearing stilletto's and a friggin wedding dress ..love it when the guy said..take it Bruce..well done..
Just stumbled upon this - great stuff. Not many performers would have been comfortable with this. Bruce is the Boss. Well done Elvis too - I'd have frozen in your postition! Great fun
can't tell how many times i've watched this by now - absolutely something that could only happen in philly! tremendously great footage, glad you captured this gem in such a brilliant quality!
Absolutely great ! I heard about this on the french radio this morning. They were talking about Bruce Springsteen and you going on stage with him ! I had to see this and I loved it. Congratulations you were great ! Ben (France)
I can't watch this video enough! Hilarious! Loving the smile on Nils' face! Too funny! I love that Bruce gets his fans involved in his shows. Many artists probably would not have allowed something like this. The Boss rocks.....as does "Philly Elvis"! : )
You were awesome in Springsteen & I. The clip itself is great, but the way you told the story behind the clip really added something else to it. It made it more personal, I think. Hats off to you! :)
Hi Nick, you did a real good job! Hats off. I understand what you're saying! The most people don't understand what it's like being a musican! pretty cool when you said "take it Bruce" ! greetings from Germany!
You did awesome! You brought smiles to many people......how bad can that be? Just watching the band smile in the background was priceless. So you did good!! Ignore the supposed "haters"....they just do not know how to have a good time.
Nick, your amazing story had the entire screeningaudience laughing and gaping in amazement. You acted unbelievably cool and professional in what must've been an unbelievably stressful and heartpounding experience, and I've yet to see any fan who was brought up on stage that managed to keep it together like that. Wonderful!
hey nick.. i can not believe this is you. you were awesome and you reached for your dream and achieved it. I am just bummed I wasn't there to witness live so I am grateful for youtube. STORM
Saw Springsteen and I. Great interview of you and your wife and your son, Nick. Great story! We all lived vicariously through you. Love the excitement your wife conveyed. She's way cool. Hail the Philly Elvis!
That is so fucking cool.. Bruce is the ultimate performer, and its unheard of that such a big artist picks someone up from the crowd, let alone let them sing etc.. AMAZING.. He is the Boss, and no matter what you say, there's objectively no one who comes close to being the definition of a playman, a showman, an artist, he is a musical preacher.. Btw. You did great, nothing wrong there, looked like a blast, and what a feeling it must have been. Incredible.
After all these great European shows this summer I had no clue how Bruce and The E-Street Band could ever top this. But with all these new US shows, with all these guests and with all these rare songs played these weeks..there are only 2 things to say: BRUCE is the greatest performer on this planet and the E-Street Band are the most incredible bunch of musicians ever seen on stage!!!!!!!!! No more to say. Barnestormer
Nick, Nice job. This is funny because I brought a sign for Suspicious Minds. I thought it had a chance because there are trumpets involved. But I'm glad we got another Elvis song.
@Nick: I saw Bruce&I with my wife yesterday. Really, a lots of laughts to see you on the stage. Your story is amazing, and I'm happy for you. I think that Bruce was a bit worried at some point, but your show was terrific!
Great performance Nick really! I'm from The Netherlands (Europe), I happened to be on holiday in the USA and in Philly on the night of the show, and bought a ticket to the show last minute from a guy on the parking lot who had a spare ticket! Unbelievable show! You really made me laugh! I was sitting (mostly standing) right behind the stage so I had perfect sight once you took over the stage! I'll never forget this night and neither will you I guess :)))
Also saw Springsteen and I. Great story. It must have taken some guts to do that!-) You are even more famous now! Loved all the stories in the movie by the way.
hey nick, just saw you in the last premiere of the night. What can I do.. you shooked me up!!! When you've said "C'mon Bruce" I'm dead. And the hot dog too... congratulations from Roma, Italia
I saw you in the "Springsteen and I" movie tonight... you were just great... I have the feeling you enjoyed more singing in front of the stadium than with Bruce :-) great performance!!
Henry Henry Henry! Love it. I can't even imagine how great it would have been for you! The BOSS! Hope all is well. Lots of changes in my household. We need to catch up sometime. Take care! Radar
Take it Bruce!! 😃😃😃 The Boss does such a great job on Elvis songs. Too bad he never did a tribute album. His version of Viva Las Vegas is great. The other day found a great version of Bruce doing Burning Love. Elvis has left the building!! 🎸🎸🎸
This guy blew it totally. I dont care what he said on that awful disturbing Springsteen and I video but he made it all about him as he totally over extended his welcome. Clearly Bruce was not happy. He grabbed the mic and said Elvis has left the building. His excuse was so lame for counting the band into blue suede shows. He totally made it about him. Look at Bruce face after he says elvis has left the building. He was not happy at all. I just dont get people. Not sure if this guys idol was Bruce or Elvis but if it was Bruce to me he totally disrespected him....Bruce was visably not impressed.
Very cool, Nick, you're really smooth onstage and played the part well. I looked this up after reading about it in the Reader's Digest. Looks like it was one heck of a night. Doesn't get much better than that, right?!
