i would laugh my ass off if they announced a new MP megatron, and it was the beastwars guy instead of the G1 guy. the rage from the fandom would be incredible.
My favourite T-Rex toy ever! Even hating the lack of hands... Also, I tend to put the right arm backwards at the bicep, then I have elbow articulation on the headhand
To me his face looks more like an Animated version of BW Megatron. And the lavender is way too bright. The Prime 1 Studio version looks pretty dead on. at least the colors and robot parts. That's how the Masterpiece BW Megs should look like but I guess they'll make him absolutely show accurate as they did with Dinobot. Would be cool to get a second realistic version for him like they did with the toy accurate version of Optimus Primal.
@@dankmegatron313 i just mean that kibble on say a transformer is anything from one mode that shouldn't be seen in another usually this is referring to stuff on the toys but if it's there in the show that would mean it's supposed to be there
I'd personally rather have the Telemocha DX version. I prefer the original face sculpt, the mutant mask is removable, and it went further with the paint job. Not to mention, because it doesn't come with an Ultra Primal, it suits my preference for the Telemocha Primal. Now if only I could find either one for a decent price.
you need to fold up the tail arm for the gimmick to work. Also, the top of the head tilts back to activate the spray feature... you don't take his throat out to do it. Also also if you leave the missiles in the hip launchers the missiles fill in a lot of the gaps in the beast mode...
so glad I have this set to make up for the ones I lost as a kid............ such an improvement, still better overall imo compared to the new Earthrise ones ~~
+Leonite Do you mean the Optimus Primal with the separate hoverboard and Megs with the actually removable tail with a hand underneath? Because he has reviewed both molds already, albeit the Botcon Cindersaur version of the Megs one.
the trex head does have a 360 degree swivel at the neck. didnt know about the missing part in the waist, may have to dig out my orginal bw megs for a transplant
This was the Toys R Us two pack version right? I still have mine sealed. Bought it for the look, considering I had the original versions of the guys loose and on hand still.
I have the American version and the only QC problem I had is that one of the ratchet rings in one of the shoulders was missing. It doesn't really affect anything but it is annoying for someone to have left a piece out. And mine has t-rex head/wrist rotation. So it can spin the head in beast mode and make it so that it doesn't have curling/gorilla arms. It took me years to figure this out though as I didn't notice it on my T-Wrecks or original BW Megatron but it was there on them as well. I guess I just never thought to move it but there is indeed a working joint there. Here's a picture of it from TFWiki: tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/8/8c/BW_Megatron_BWReborn.jpg
+PainXIII12 Gold plastic with heavy swirls, especially from Beast Wars and prior, breaks down fast due to how much metallic element is mixed into the plastic, causing it to become very brittle and break easily. Beast Wars toys have the worst examples, Randy, Grimlock, Soundwave, but toys as new as Movie Protoform Starscream and as old as Pretender Roadblock have been seen with the problem. Google gold plastic syndrome and you'll see plenty of broken toys from the stuff.
+OptimusPhillip You're not really supposed to pull out the throat to make the chomping and water squirting to work, you supposed to press on the top of the head to make it work. Shows it off in the ad for the original toy: ruclips.net/video/o2lRanfMaMU/видео.html
+OptimusPhillip I remember having the original. You were just supposed to lift the upper jaw, not detach the throat section. You only did that to fill it with water. Doing it like the video shows would neuter the effectiveness of the spray of water, since it would angle up and hit the roof of his mouth.
Wow, a BW Megatron review and not a single "Yessss...." out of the reviewer? Shame on you.
Yesssssssss
Yessssssss
Noooooo
To be fair, the water squirt gimmick is a good representation of the dino head energy blast he did in the cartoon...
An excellent Beast Wars Megatron toy, yeeeees.

not really. Apollyon kinda fills that space. though that might just be optimism
+The Moldy Cheese ehhhh maketoys despotron would like to talk to you about that...
Jetfire48 Lol. Why do you think I said kinda

Just got this guy today he is freaking sweet a great improvement to the original and a cheaper alternative if you can’t afford the masterpiece figure
Still the best season one beast wars Megatron, IMO.
mp beast wars meg better come with his rubber ducky
Yesssssssssss
Maybe the mp transmetal one?
Yereeeeees he does
I need to find this one at some point.
A quick Google search tells me that the current belief is that juvenile _T. Rex_ did have feathers, but shed them by adulthood.

I scooped up the Walmart reissue yesterday he’s quite nice
if it's show accurate kibble is it really kibble
If the toy came before the show then yes

This is an awesome figure and review TJ .👍🏽
Nice review TJ! Yeeeessss.
Yes
Honestly, TJ, you did better transforming him than I usually do.
I always thought the fact that you had to rip his throat out to activate the water squirting function disturbing.

Can't wait to see when Takara makes a masterpiece version of this.

Hey tj doubt you will but could you by any chance do a random review on transmetal waspinator? Really like that version of him.
TJ, would you ever consider doing those Beast War/Cybertron mixes that have the cyber keys, or are they just not different enough to justify it?
+Leonite Do you mean the Optimus Primal with the separate hoverboard and Megs with the actually removable tail with a hand underneath? Because he has reviewed both molds already, albeit the Botcon Cindersaur version of the Megs one.
TJ
THERE IS A QUICK COMBINING MEGAZORD THAT ALSO TRANSFORMS FROM CUBE TO ANIMAL!! IT'S LIKE THE CANDROIDS!
Yesssss
Yes my Queen.
I kinda see those back she'll pieces as wings from the way they were shaped even though I know he didn't have wings.
Yes.
At least this one's tail doesn't spring up when you shove a key up it's cloaca.
needs more roller skates and vertical take off engines
An excellent toy review I'm I right?
Did your name come from the Ashens video?
Forgot how much AoE Scorn transformed like this guy until now.
Yeeeeeeeeees!
the trex head does have a 360 degree swivel at the neck. didnt know about the missing part in the waist, may have to dig out my orginal bw megs for a transplant
your the best
Needs more detachable tail so he can have a toothbrush for brushing the T-Rex head's teeth

What happened to the TJ Reviews? Sorry, I still like the Random Reviews, but I'm wondering when are you planning another TJ Review?
What's the deal with gold plastic breaking down? Never happened to me. Examples?

I can't spell
+CVD Animation *Constipated.
Don't worry bro, got you covered.
+Henry Lubka thank you
Ooooooooh Yeeeeeesssss. >:3
Are you sure the chomping gimmick was intentional?
I think he missed the head chomp action without removing the tongue. The head chomp by moving the molding behind the eyes
