So, this is a Japan-only PS2 remaster of Virtua Racing.
Japan always gets the good stuff...

I saw this on sell here in Mexico in 2005 in Walmart. But I didn't buy it. I regret so much
Virtua Racing is one of those few games that look good stretched to 16:9
It had real widescreen support in one cabinet but maybe the ui made people think it was stretched
The 1st 3D polygon racing arcade game, I played it in real arcade machine in late 80's.

Those yellow triangular-shaped skid effects, does it look like that when running the game on the console or is that a shortcoming of the emulator? The game looks fantastic overall for a 16-bit remaster but those yellow triangles look kinda shit. Even the original arcade Pole Position effects (smoke) look much better than that.

@@ricardohuff8774 Yeah, no, I think everything's available from the start. It was a budget release, so it would make sense. I think the only thing it would try to save would be high scores.

Search Virtua Racing on Google, please. You will find out that this game was one of the greatest creation made by SEGA in the golden era of video game, which then followed with the first SEGA rally.
At least it looks better than the Genesis and Arcade releases.
