Really enjoyed this first impressions review Stef 👍I liked that you made comparisons to the Alfa 4c as they are very similar cars. Also the POV shots really immerse the viewer as if they're driving it and it shows how nimble and agile the lightweight body of the Alpine A110 is. Please do more POV shots in your videos in the future! Keep up the great work.
There is definitely something that I like about this car, it certainly looks good too! I do like how manufacturers recreate cars from the past, it should be applauded. One thing I DETEST though is the gimmicky centre console screen - on what planet does needing to know precisely what the steering angle is (among a host of other things) seem like a good idea? Knowing the precise angle of my front wheels is not really high on the list of priorities when driving a car on track, or on literally any road for that matter... ;)
I think you have put together a very good and fair review as many 4C owners and ex-owners think their 4C is the best thing since slice bread. I have a 4C, which I use as a track car. On the road it is not very good at all apart from the odd occasion when you are in the mood for it. I also tested the A110S and from my point of view, it is the best road that can be used as a daily that money can buy. It's better in almost every way but the rawness of the 4C makes it a better track car. However if I had to choose between the two, I would still go for the 4C! Strange
I own a4c and i am a true alfa lover! However, the Alpine looks great and definitely has the looks and way better interior than the 4c! Would love to have one to have an opinion on its driving dynamics! Great video stef!!!
A very good review I did notice that you are shown the gear you’re in, and this is something that Petrolped Mentioned on a different car recently didn’t,t have the gears displayed he would have liked which he would have liked to see, so the Alpine seems to be a well rounded car that doesn’t,t want to kill you.👍
Ooof... that sound with the crackle when you open the valve! Music to my ears. I've always wondered how you would rate this one, having lived with the 4C. I also think in an ideal world where money wasn't an issue, I'd have the 4C as a weekend car and something else as a daily (probably a Volvo V60 or something haha). But if I had to choose one and only one car, this is so very tempting. But of course, I could never pay this kind of money for a car, nor is it available in Argentina hahaha. But one can dream! Lovely machine and great review, Stef!
I tested it a week ago and loved it. Stef, you should drive it in a twisty road, where you'll get the best of the A110/S . And if you haven't driven the A110 (standard) please have a try. I would it more fun than the S version. Anyway, thank you for sharing.

Great review Stef. I have a 4C and adore it with my heart - It is a stunning thing and I have had the full alfa workshop do-over with the suspension and ECU. However, it's rarely relaxing to drive, still feels edgy on anything other than smooth roads, is evil in the wet and the power delivery is far from linear with an inconsistent TCT shift. The Alpine seems far more complete - safer, more refined and easier to punt along in. In all honesty, I don't think I could ever sell the 4C - it's a love affair and the looks are so arresting - add in the carbon tub and loony toons noises and it is a real event - plus it has real perfprmance. However, the Alpine is still tempting and I think a better car.....If I could only have the one car, I reckon I'd be in this. Get the normal A110, the S has the same 0 to 60 and really only has more power when pushing hard. Plus it isn't ideal IF used for a daily as its a lot stiffer.
You are doing everything wrong. This car isn't designed as a hot hatch or for a hooligan. It's style and performance for the discerning man or woman. @@mesasartworks I tried to explain that this car was a real revival of what Alpine used to be and not a simple and lazy copy/paste of the 4C. The 4c is a great car though and Alfa, one of my favorite automaker even if FCA is castrating all the possibilities of this iconic brand.
All right @@Ahmed.Clermont! Actually I didn't say that car is a copycat. I tried to explain in a funny style (like hold my beer) that the idea was influenced by the Alfa who made a lightweight small supercar into production. That's all. A bad joke, may you didn't notice. I like both of them, however i'm an Alfa guy. :) peace
The A110 has two main flaws: A bland neo-retro look, a sports car too tall to be applied as a true Alpine, and it was designed to sell a lot, at a much lower price ... Will of the Caterham boss Except that when he "retired", they launched it at the price of 718 without doing anything on it, so... Insufficient sales.
UnderLOVED unLOved? No 4c unless am wrong, isn't the fan base?
The Alfa 4c is better car!
Shity car
Shitty comment!@@MrBreakingBud
@@MrBreakingBud Shitty comment, mate.
Heads straight to Autotrader.....realises theyre £54k+ 😥
Not cheap :( but a brilliant car
Get the normal A110, the S has the same 0 to 60 and really only has more power when pushing hard. Plus it isn't ideal IF used for a daily as its a lot stiffer.
Ricordo che l'Alfa 4c e' uscita 4 anni prima e ha una cilindrata leggermente minore..
For me you could of said nice a bit more.
Nice!
Such a yawn in comparison to the 4C in all ways
Your speaking way to quick in rushed crazy Manner calm down calm down 😆
I speak fast lol not the first time I’ve heard this 😂
Just one look and I know witch one is better. Alfa of course. This one is so ugly !
Lo sapevo 😀

Alpine best drive the 4c Bad drive
Is it a better 4c?
Good lord no, just look at the thing. 4C is one of the best looking sports cars on the road and this is by far one of the ugliest.
Agree on styling but I still think it looks good
You are doing everything wrong.
This car isn't designed as a hot hatch or for a hooligan. It's style and performance for the discerning man or woman.
Why do you keep dropping gears and hammering it..?
Anyone who is buying an Alpine it's because of its individuality and history together with its performance.
The alpine looks like a mix between a Clio and a Vauxhall ..
Ugly..
Please don’t compare with the Alfa Romeo 4C!
Forza Alfa Romeo 🍀
