Yes sir!!! Fun fact in 1994 divine intervention was my first slayer album when I was 12 because I loved the cover art and yes dittohead is a gem great job
Fabrice, your meter is perfect on your fast, linear, single stroke snare / tom fills. The two of us have had convos in the past regarding Bostaph’s awesome work with SLAYER. I was 16yrs old when Reign In Blood was released and I practiced relentlessly to nail Lombardo’s drum tracks, but I was blown away at 24yrs of age when Divine Intervention came out. What an incredible display of precision, in previously unheard of drumming technicality, to announce Bostaph’s arrival and showcase his insane chops. Sick cover brother! 🤘🏻
Hell yeah..... he`s my hero too!!!!!! His technic, passion and hitting his kit so hard amazes me still ....absolutly incredible!!!!!!! I adore Paul for putting SLAYER to the next level in drumming! He is the one🤘 I started playing drums when i was 10. I am 48 now. But i always go back to Paul playing SLAYER
Thank you for replying. I forgot to mention your version of DITTOHEAD was great. Eventhough electric drums are not mine. But it doesn't f...... matter, right?!
I was just a couple of years older. I was 17… then in 1995 my first ever live concert was Slayer in Chicago at Aragon Ballroom. With Paul… it was unreal. I still struggle with some parts of his though I never actually attempted to play any tune from back then as a whole… I did use the Killing Fields intro in a drum solo back in about 1999/2000 or so.
DIVINE INTERVENTION (circa 1994) is an insanely technical drumming album and an awesome introduction to Paul Bostaph filling Dave Lombardo’s shoes … which he did, to the point of splitting Dave’s shoes open.
Divine Intervention is truly underrated even by Slayer fans. No it's not their best album but dam sure ain't their worst. It's my 3rd favorite album honestly.
This song is so bad Ass 🤘 divine is probably my fav slayer album... Jupp i know all the problem with it. But the songs are killers. Also like the punk tribute they did 🤘💃
Great work! I agree Bostaph is unreal. As soon as I heard DI a few times I decided he was superior to Lombardo even though he aped the style (as needed). That album man... I lived it. I think only CI came close after that.
@@fabricegdrummer well I do too. I just prefer Bostaphs style better. Lombardo to me for a lack of a better example has a 'Bam Bam' style of play. Hard and fast. He has some good fills here and there. I'll never for the life of me understand why Divine Intervention, doesn't get more love than it does. That's by far my fave album. Anyway, just proof we all hear things in different ways.
And? , Like Kerry King replied back to Ricki Rackman on Headbangers Ball on DIVINE'S debut when Ricki brings up the " new drummer, and from JUST the opening track of the CD 😯 , and that...?" Kerry King THEN replies "And? He DOESN'T seem to have ANY problem WITH THAT......😎"....... LOL 😆🤘🔥🤘
woww
thank you so much!!! :)
I saw Paul Bostaph playing drums for testament and he's really amazing drummer...
absolutely amazing!
Divine Intervention, Diabolos in Musica, God Hates us All…back to back to back master classes in metal drumming.
Absolutely awesome!!!

All the Bostaph haters probably dont play the drums. He made Lombardo sound like Lars Ulrich. Great cover!!!!!! I have the same kit.

😂 bostaph better than lombardo. You do not know anything about drums
