Our tale begins with poor toy maker Samuel Claus setting off in search of a new life. However, he finds himself in a peculiar forest from which he cannot escape. It takes only a touch of fairy magic before he is making toys again.

Tried the last couple of years to find this and your "Twelves Days of Christmas" and "White Christmas" videos whenever Christmas comes around. I had a VHS when I was a kid with all 3 on it and watched them over and over again.
This Christmas the nostalgia is real! Really glad I finally found this.

I turn 60 years old next year. Just watched Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for the hundredth time. They are simple, wonderful cartoons that take me back to a more innocent time. With each passing year, I get a little more choked up as I watch them. I think I'm losing my mind.

I totally fell in love with Fern when I watched this movie for the first time. Both Fern and her bro are so cute in their lack of knowledge about the human world, not knowing about toys and imagination, so Samuel had to explain what it is.
Wow, this is such a great version. Ive never seen it before and i absolutely love it! This should have been aired every year! The more popular and well known version is good too but this is very wonderful in itself

Not seen this since I was about 8 but since I was a teenager my favourite composer has always been Mussorgsky. After years of looking I finally found this today, put it on and low and behold 90% of the soundtrack is Pictures at an Exhibition. I guess that's where I developed my love of Mussorgsky from.

Samuel Claus was my first animated Santa Claus i ever saw, and he will be forever the only Santa Claus origin story with Nicholas from animated movie "Life and adventures of Santa Claus"

So Santa Claus came about when an old man died by being killed by an warthog and a fairy godmother gave him a second life and made him an eternal toymaker and distributor.
This short is really good, but not as good as the 50-minute Rankin/Bass claymation of the same name.

Strange request: if anyone hears to word "kept" in the video can you point out to me at what point in the video you hear it?
I have a line in my head that I can't quite remember how it went but I'm convinced it was from this and had the word "kept" in it, but I couldn't hear it on this viewing and it's been bugging me for literally years now.
There are other Christmas movies with this animation style. Could it be one of those?
