As a City fan, 1. This kid is really good. 2. If Utd fans don't shut up about him, he'll crumble. This happens all the time with young Utd talent, where they start well but can't keep up with the pressure - let them grow a bit before yall start acting like these lads are God's gift to mankind.
We don't have a choice, I only wish there was some midfielder better than him in the squad and we could bring him in slowly but the last 10y of bad management have left its mark and we have bad or shite players so let's just hope he will be good and can handle the pressure. He is only 18 so he has at least 3 years when the pressure comes until that he is still a teenager and a gifted youngster. And the little joy we have had recently then we need to hope on 21y Hojlund, 19y old Garnacho and 18y Mainoo. Only the strongest can handle the pressure and lets hope he is one of the strongest

@beligerentlondoner to be fair a lot of the big clubs do this, like Liverpool recently with all their kids, this is a bad example but look at birmingham when it came to Jude Bellingham, if we take Arsenal before Saka, it was walcott. Young players are op now a days. They're all so calm under pressure and can read the game so well. I mean, just look at Zaire-Emery, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí, Guler, Gavi, Bellingham. They're all future Xavis or Pirlos or Schweinsteigers, or Maldinis in Pau's case. I don't mean in terms of technique or tackling but in terms of controlling the game.
There will be a player better than Messi and Ronaldo if not multiple players in the next 20 years. No one will admit it for ages just like no one admitted Messi and Ronaldo were better than Maradona and Pele until Messi and Ronaldo were at the end of their careers.
Within 100 years Messi and Ronaldo might stick around in the history books because of their achievements but in terms of actual skill they won't compare.

They won't get him. He's become United's star man. He's easily been their second best player after Bruno in the games he's played and he's got so much more to improve. Man United payed 70 million for a relatively unproven 20 year old striker in the Serie A, they won't sell a proven 18 year old midfield maestro who fits into the system and works well with the team for anything under 200 million.
