Angle dust was one of 3 siblings in a mob family, and either died from a drug overdose, hate crime, or during the second mafia war I think, placing his death in the 1980s, along with cherry bomb, though I don’t believe she had any relations to Angle before death. SirPentious died either in the Great Blizzard of 1888, or on the titanic, moving to the US to earn more recognition for his inventions. I really hope you see this, took a hot sec to type this up.

Here’s how I think nifty died: She was a little girl the 50’s that was born weak. Usually if a kid was born weak they would push them down a chimney and make them clean. Most of the time the chimney was lit, therefore making the kid fall into their fire demise. When nifty was “summoned” by Alastor, she was in the chimney fire and covered in ashes. That why she is so youthful and preppy to clean. That how I think nifty died, it kinda just falls into place.
That is an interesting theory but please realize they are in hell, and basically every character that was named in this was a serial killer. And once again, they ARE in hell so she kinda deserves to be there for something

Characters that are driven by boredom are pretty easily aligned as Chaotic Evil because they just care about being entertained, so Yeah, I think Alastor is super dangerous

Charlie I could interpret as Chaotic Neutral/Good (she is trying to reform demons because she cares about her people not because she cares about the good or evil) or Lawful Evil (she is a purebred infernal creature but she wants a system to avoid destroying hell on a yearly basis). Angel could be Chaotic Neutral (maybe evil leaning) he doesn't care about good or evil just getting what he wants he's a remorseless sinner but his sin of choice is lust and greed... he'll kill to protect what's his or he likes but he isn't just gonna outright kill you for no reason he'd rather "suck ya D" and he isn't needlessly cruel except unless his roasts count... but Alastor is pure evil that got bored and wants to spice up his shenanigans... He's the type of demon who does something good not because they aren't evil just because they got bored and had a whim and wanted to see what sorta things the peasants do once they learn that the Ultimate Relic of Forbidden Power that was given to them can be used for more than ending famine and disease 10 years later.

I think he’s more of a Lawful/Neutral Evil because I believe it was stated that he would not chase after any fleeing victims and he would not kill a child, possibly to the point of raising a child if he finds them abandoned.

Maybe those are fallen angels. They definitely aren’t normal angels, as their punishment they are tasked with exterminating demons every year. Stuck between realities and if they try to defy whomever is sending them, they are placed in Hell and become full demons. Just my theory 🤷♀️

If the creator is aware of this biblical connection, that could explain why the angels in this show look as scary as the demons. But hey, I guess we’ll find out eventually. I’m also eager to know why Charlie is in Hell, considering she didn’t really do anything to stay there. Yes, I know that she’s the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith (?), but as far as I understand, you don’t go to Hell just because your parents were sinners. You have to earn going to Hell, and Charlie doesn’t seem like she deserves to spend eternity there. Again, I guess the show will eventually explain itself, but still. That just stuck out in my head the entire time.

Yes but animation is always the last part of the project so that could have taken only 2 years one and a half if we're really dedicated however animatics were released I think three years ago so yeah this is Been a Long Time Project it's just I can't say how long the actual animation took
@@nekohallowking4762 I've not been following the news on this series only heard it from second-hand account so I haven't heard anything about planned episode length but then again I haven't heard anything about planned episodes. I know that they're not going through with any further episodes until the pilot gets full exposure and I think they're trying to get a network deal based solely off of that so it would be unwise for them to start so soon even if they hadn't expelled basically all their resources. Seriously though they do need a break after all the work they put into this Also even though there's not going to be any further production for the foreseeable future that doesn't mean that they aren't going to keep on writing obviously they are probably going to have I mean I assume they are going to be writing some stuff and jotting down ideas for future episodes. I'm sure they already had plenty of ideas in advance

To answer your question at the end Vivzie and some of the others did a Q&A after the episode launched and stated that they've not started working on further episodes yet and are waiting to see reactions to the episode and based on the level of attention and funding they get from the pilot they'll continue the series (Edit) To confirm some of the replies yes they've said that they plan to continue the series regardless, the funding and attention is mostly just to determine how exactly they continue from here. They would like to have the series picked up but still intend to continue even if it's just as an indie project, would just take a lot more time and effort between episodes.

Actually, Alastor was a southern radio-host and a serial-killer from the 30's. It's speculated he was accidentally shot and killed by a hunter who thought he was a deer, and that his powers comes from him drawing from the chaos of everything happening in the 30's.
Lilith was also the wife of Lucifer within Jewish lore, and the first Demon, after her arrival in hell due to her sins and transgressions. (Yeah so by jewish lore, sinners do become demons, which might be a worse fate overall if you think about it.)
I_Am_Dragoon hm one little petty thing, I believe that Lilith believed her and Adam to be created as equals, yet Adam kept trying to dominate her which led to her fleeding out of Eden. When Adam asked God to retrieve her God asked Lilith through angels and since God refused to consider her equal (which was her condition for returning) she didn’t and that’s where she became monstrous and considered an enemy.
I love how they show Charlie's "demonic" side when she sings of hell, burning and screams because she is the princess of hell but chose to be a good person.
That isn't them, they're quite possibly one of the bigger power demons that was supposedly toppled by Alastor, like the TV head man in the intro that's referenced in Vaggie's story.

Charlie's parents are Lilith and Lucifer. Just to clarify I absolutely love the pilot. A friend of mine work on the clean up crew for animation on this pilot, so I was able to get a little sneak peek every so often about this. I was definitely on board before the trailer even came out. I know the Creator and her team worked very hard on it, and it definitely shows. I look forward to anything else relating to this

My two favorite jokes in this I think are one the drugstore sign you pointed that out I just love the sheer lack of ambiguity and just the fact that apparently a store's name is a full sentence. Based on all the portraits in the hotel, there is a strong possibility that Charlie's mom is Lilith. I understand that was the original plan as well, but I prefer to focus on canon evidence over meta confirmation, since some things inevitably change in the process of creation.

I'm 40 years old and Hazbin is one of the most amazing pieces of animation I have ever seen, and I've been watching animation since the early 1980s. Don't sleep on this one, HH is going to be big. And if it doesn't it's going to be one of the biggest shames in the history of animation.
I have a theory that Heaven is just full of holier than thou pricks which would both explain why someone like Vaggie would be there and why they need a cleanse in hell every year, and that's going to be a big plot arc that shows that Charlie made everyone better souls, even Alastor, but heaven still wouldn't let them in

One active theory is that dropping the "radio voice" effects is a sign of him breaking through his usual facade and being deadly serious.
I read that smiling symbolizes for him superiority and victory. So his constant smiling is there to show dominance.

I know that they're not going through with any further episodes until the pilot gets full exposure and I think they're trying to get a network deal based solely off of that so it would be unwise for them to start so soon even if they hadn't expelled basically all their resources. Seriously though they do need a break after all the work they put into this
Also even though there's not going to be any further production for the foreseeable future that doesn't mean that they aren't going to keep on writing obviously they are probably going to have I mean I assume they are going to be writing some stuff and jotting down ideas for future episodes. To answer your question at the end Vivzie and some of the others did a Q&A after the episode launched and stated that they've not started working on further episodes yet and are waiting to see reactions to the episode and based on the level of attention and funding they get from the pilot they'll continue the series
(Edit) To confirm some of the replies yes they've said that they plan to continue the series regardless, the funding and attention is mostly just to determine how exactly they continue from here. They would like to have the series picked up but still intend to continue even if it's just as an indie project, would just take a lot more time and effort between episodes.
Hopefully they get the funding they need, this show is so good

Actually, Alastor was a southern radio-host and a serial-killer from the 30's. It's speculated he was accidentally shot and killed by a hunter who thought he was a deer, and that his powers comes from him drawing from the chaos of everything happening in the 30's.
To tie into this, Charlie's father is apparently Lucifer. Who she technically takes after if you go by what he was originally.
Lilith was also the wife of Lucifer within Jewish lore, and the first Demon, after her arrival in hell due to her sins and transgressions. (Yeah so by jewish lore, sinners do become demons, which might be a worse fate overall if you think about it.)
I_Am_Dragoon hm one little petty thing, I believe that Lilith believed her and Adam to be created as equals, yet Adam kept trying to dominate her which led to her fleeding out of Eden. When Adam asked God to retrieve her God asked Lilith through angels and since God refused to consider her equal (which was her condition for returning) she didn’t and that’s where she became monstrous and considered an enemy.
I love how they show Charlie's "demonic" side when she sings of hell, burning and screams because she is the princess of hell but chose to be a good person.

The reactions to the episode was so fun to see, and I'm glad they find it to be good. I heard a lot of people didn't like it, but I find it very entertaining. I love this Hazbin Hotel.
IT TOOK THEM 4 YEARS (at least that’s what I remember, feel free to correct me) AND THEY MADE A HECKING *MASTERPIECE*
Sir Pentious died in 1888 by snake poison (suicide or because of one of his experiments), Alastor died in 1933 because he was attacked by hunting dogs and mistaken for a deer by a hunter (he was a cannibal, a serial killer, and practiced voodoo and hoodoo), Angel died in 1447 from an Angel Dust overdose (he was in the New York mafia, hence his accent), Nifty died in 1953 (she was a maid (clean freak) for a rich family (idk what she did to get in hell though, maybe she killed someone), Husk died in the 70's by alcohol poisoning (he had PTSD from Vietnam and drank and gambled his problems away), Cherri died in the 80's during a turf war (she was in a gang), and Vaggie died in 2014 by suicide (using a knife, that's why that's her weapon). Some of this is fact some of it is what I think may have happened, so take it with a grain of salt. Also () is why they are in hell.

Based on all the portraits in the hotel, there is a strong possibility that Charlie's mom is Lilith. I understand that was the original plan as well, but I prefer to focus on canon evidence over meta confirmation, since some things inevitably change in the process of creation.
