- Chasing my friends Mustang Mach 1 on the touge in Mexico. Mustang Mach1 is an incredible machine, he’s running conti ECS02, though not as aggressive as the factory Michelin Cup2’s, they are great tires especially in the 305 front section they run lol. C320 sport coupé running Kumho v730’s 235/255 sizes, w203 coupe has a 5.4 m113 manual bolted on to the factory manual transmission running a lightened flywheel and upgraded clutch. Mach1 driver is a newcomer but he’s already faster than 90% of single lane runners here. Great car, great driver. Enjoy the run!

@@cartierr9 shiver me timbers well done on passing your driving test last week 😂 jokes aside he’s turning the wheel like crazy because its a benz rack and his hand placement is so awkward you can’t deny. then he’s taking his hand off the wheel on top is just a hilarious combination. as an e55 owner these era V8s can easily spin the rears and have a hard time in the corners. mercedes clients were all businessmen who want a comfy cruiser in the 90s and 00s not a stiff sports car.
common conditions
I've done crazy chases as recent as a few months ago. Cars can oversteer/understeer suddenly without reason, even when everything is perfect. This is an accident in the making. I'll still go for canyon runs but would tone it down by 25%. For full send, I take it to the track now. Hope y'all do the same and stay safe!
Believe it or not this is not a full send run. I have other runs where I’ve gone over 10 seconds faster over these 4 miles. this is a 1/4 section we call mile corridor, starting from the first left hairpin to the second left hairpin where the video ends.

Then you'll get the Tail of the Dragon effect, where the 16yos who are even worse/more stupid than you cross the double yellow around blind corners. And they'll be like "BeLiEVe iT Or NoT, thAT wAs NoT fULL sEnD," you'll think to yourself "this punk is a complete disaster," and you'll say, "This is an accident waiting to happen. You should really go to the track," resigned to the fact that you have near-zero influence over this moron.
Then you'll realize he and his buddies were the ones upvoting your amazing videos.

Audi is the same way. The old 5000CS turbos were crazy for their time. Handling wise.

Some nice driving on show! If it was me, on that road, I would probably reign it in by maybe 20% but each to their own. Really impressed with the grip on the benz, front end biting nicely and the rear looks solid too

Those are some impressive driving skills but be careful in those canyons! One mistake or wrong maneuver can put you in a bad situation. Anyways good driving and awesome car!

When I drove my friend’s C230, I felt the gearing was very long. But perhaps with a big torquey motor, it wouldn’t be a problem. Plus, the steering ratio looks high for the canyon driving like everyone said. Your tires are fantastic. Doesn’t seem pushing at all. The roads look like Mexico Malibu or Mexico lower big Tehunga 👍🏻
Yeah c230’s have no power but get the 3.5 v6 or a v8 with a shorter diff and it makes all the difference.

Friendly advise, I'd include a "dont try this at home" type of disclaimer at the start of the video, its obvious you know both your car and this road to drive that aggressive unlike others who might want to try

I let my buddies ride with me on the track but theres no way I'm gonna risk anyone else's life when I'm driving like a nutcase on back roads. When I'm doing that it's just me, my engine sound, and my music. Maybe I just care too much 😂

That's some good serious driving,, I got a car in my garage that'll take turns like that but it can't excellerate like these on video, but it'll hold on ( maybe a mile back ) but it'll do it, it'll take turns now at 80 or 90 compared to just 65, still gotta make my rear end just alittle more stable but man can steer like a sports car, I won't say wut car it is cause you'll only disrespect it, even still this n awsome driving video!

If you haven’t already you should try getting a lot thicker rear sway bars (in comparison to the front) which will help reduce understeer
Yeah I have to at this point. Swapping the V8 in added 90lbs and two extra cylinders ahead on the nose of the car. It already has H&R adjustable front and rear 26/19 mm bars. I’m going to grab a whiteline sway bar next that comes in at 22mm. Hopefully that helps with the initial turn in understeer 👍🏼
That thing looked on the verge of snapping this whole run, i don't think he needs a stiffer rear that's just asking for trouble.
If he encounters understeer he just needs to brake and turn in earlier.

I wrote it in the description. They’re 235/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear kumho V730’s great tires for this kinda driving 👍🏼

What ego are you talking about? It’s two friends enjoying their cars for what they were designed for? Did anyone cross into the opposite lane? Did we overtake any regular traffic on this rarely commuted canyon road? Anyone driving canyon roads like this know the risks associated, we do our best to keep it one lane and far away from regular traffic, unlike other videos of people swerving in and out of traffic out using both lanes to be faster. You do as you please with your car 👍🏼

Have you done anything to the suspension? The stock chassis is definitely not optimal for racing lol.
Bc coilovers, Syncrodesign monoball arm, powerflex poly LCA with camber adjustable sleeves, H&R sway bars front and rear, full AMG brakes, and 200tw tires. W204 coilover conversion, clk63 Bs strut braces, and LSD is up next.

It’s in the description. The 5.4 m113 produces around 370hp stock this one has a tune so should be right around 400hp at the crank. 👍🏼
