Binge watched all the videos a couple of weeks back so waiting for this has been a killer. Build looks amazing and work looks top quality cannot wait for the next one to drop
Thanks for the update Andy! Breaking up the wiring to different zones of the car is brilliant…I’ll be doing the same. Looking fwd to seeing the soln to the Porsche ‘clocks’ being adapted to Subie outputs.
Yeah it deffo makes sense. I’ve made a rope loom with every component in all 3 zones, sent that off to Patrick yesterday along with the clocks. Vid to follow. Cant recommend a rope loom enough, makes it far easier to work out and remove from car to make a real one
Super nice, your dedication is crazy, very long term project. I am also looking at getting myself something like this, but I need to make space first. Also might rather be going with a subaru flat six - they not that expensive.
@gordyl9247 I haven’t sourced an original yet but one came with the car but had a rubbish sticky backing…yes it’s very soft! I may be able to silicon it in position 🤔
That bumper came out amazing! When you mentioned that you would need to cut it in half to make it fit my soul was instantly filled with doom. You make this stuff look easy, amazing skills Andy 🫡 Cant wait to see this beast confusing people on the road! 🏎️💨💨

Great plan of attack with the front fenders. Will definitely copy that method for mine.

Good stuff, look forward to some videos if you do. Yeah a six cylinder is a good choice.
How long do you think this whole project will take? Looking good so far.. do you have a colour in mind to paint it?
Hi bud, I’m aiming for 3.5 years. One year left 😊
Video 13 shows the colour mate - a sorta old school pale blue. Might go for gulf orange and do the gulf colour scheme 🤔
@@air_cooled_andy Epic project 😎
Yeah definitely is! 😆🤪
😎👍
Do you have the door and bonnet seals fitted yet?
Hi Gordy. Door seals yes bonnet no, but have allowed for that 😊👍
@@air_cooled_andy The bonnet oe. one is a very soft cushioned moulded rubber glued into the channel, if you haven't sourced one yet.

😆 Cheers Finn! Have you still got the 996?
@@air_cooled_andy No, sold it when I got the wheel chair.
@ManinaGarage 😮 Oh man, I never knew you had deteriorated to the point of needing a wheelchair. Sorry to hear that Finn!
