  • The music of Black Panther opened new doors, introducing authentic African sounds into an action-packed Marvel-movie score.
Senegalese percussionist Massamba Diop, who recently visited a Connecticut middle school, was featured throughout the movie’s soundtrack playing his instrument: the talking drum.

The fact that Ludwig Goransson travelled to Africa to find these amazing drummers from numerous countries makes Black Panther a step above general Marvel films.

It's really a step above most hollywood films in general. Composers usually only get a few weeks to score a film (which includes writing all the thematic material), but Goransson, who has been friends with the director Ryan Coogler, started working on it before they even started shooting the film.

do you know that this little drum called TAMA in Wolof (Senegal). is an instrument passed down from father to son. It is a pride to see other peoples take an interest in it. It is very small and so powerful that when you play the drum there is often only one. Respect Massamba Diop.

@Fatimaxn Barry Maybe youre selectively illiterate.
The initial comment states that the Senegalese are the best drummers , my comment is a rebuttle the the Yoruba are the best drummers as they are.
Do your research drumming originates from West Africa specifically the Yoruba people therefore they've had time to develop their drumming skills and tactics.
So to end this off , your little explanation about the variations of drums has nothing to do with what I was saying.
