    what about regular bamboo

      Regular bamboo, such as Lucky Bamboo can indeed make a good indoor plant if it has the right amount of lighting. You should also keep the roots submerged in water and change the water every 1-2 weeks.
      They do well in average household humidity but appreciate higher humidity levels. Misting the leaves occasionally can help, especially in dry indoor environments.
