Well canonically, monsters hear their own boss music, so it's possible this means that as clover gets stronger and more out for justice, their own theme overrides those of the basic monsters It's even strong enough to match some bosses, since Trial by Fury and some others have the same leitmotifs as this song, as well as those of the boss you're fighting
@@fyra_cat2119 To the point where by the end of the Zenith Martlet fight, the battle music has no Martlet leitmotifs at all. It's Clover's theme, Martlet is just dying to it.

Why 7 though, is it because 7 is a lucky number like how clover is a lucky name, the game took 7 years to come out or because clover is the 7th dude to come to the underground
Frisk's geno theme is slow, plodding and sad because they don't want to do it. they're an avatar of Chara being manipulated by forces beyond their ken. Clover's is upbeat, because they take pleasure in the dust. justice will be served.
Frisk did it over their own free will they had did it because they wanted to see everything if anything Frisk corrupted Chara sure They weren't the best kid or anything, but They weren't plane evil. Ironically enough, this is really good grinding music

If only it started earlier and got slower later

yes it is

this song feels much more energetic and happy without the genocide route's song changes
Seriously, listening to this after listening to the 30% slowed version makes me feel like I just chugged a cup of coffee

true that
its a shame you can listen to this song once or twice in the game before it gets too distorted to actually enjoy it

if the game doesn’t want me doing genocide then why is the genocide music so good
eh, i think uty's geno is WAY less boring to play than og ut
I am pretty sure the game doesn't discourage geno here. Unlike UT, it is just another ending, perhaps even a good one
That's because -genocide is fun- of the player's sick pow of justice

I just want to point out that this song motif is also present in trial vy fury and retribution
I think also in Axis's genocide theme too (forgot the name of it)

This song has an energy of when you finally had it.
I just love how even though clover is committing genocide in the underground every human cheering him on 😭
the only person cheering clover on is flowey and only up to steamworks?
I'm trying to study with this music but I'm too busy dancing and having fun (and thinking about all the atrocities I committed with Clover)

You know what would be cool? If the monsters actually try to flee the battle.
