You sir, are amazing for this. As someone with severe storm anxiety i watch the weather like a hawk and those thumbnails and over dramarized forcasts has been driving me to almost literal insanity 🤣🤣
THANK YOU EVAN FOR EXPOSING THEM! I'm a beekeeper and what the weather does is very important! I've come to hate Direct Weather and I don't recommend his forecast to anyone. A meteorologist should state possibilities and POW does that but he exaggerates the titles of his videos. Max Velocity tends to exaggerate weather events, still waiting for the spring outbreak of tornadoes! I don't watch mainstream media(ABC,NBC,CBS,PBS & FOX) due to the propaganda. I get my local weather from Accuweather and Weather For Us. Now I'll start watching Evan Fryberger!
Max Velocity doesn't do anything related. I can advocate for the man. I am a Farmer so I can understand the weather thing, but Max Velocity is reliable bud.
Thank you for this. Finally someone says what we're thinking every time those weather video thumbnails pop up. It's so funny too when new ones pop up, they start off accurate then you can see in real time as they adjust to the algorithm, and in a couple months it's practically the whole country covered in a red blob with text like AHHHHHHH!!!!! lol
Always love when somewhere gets 5 inches and they call it a blizzard lol! To us in Eastern Ontario, a blizzard is when you can't see the hood of your car and you get more than 24 inches in 4 hours. A snowstorm is when you can't see 2 feet in front of your car and you get 24 inches in 24 hours. Flurries is when you get 12 inches in 24 hours. And a sprinkle of snow is anything under that.😊😂
Yeah, I've already seen about five videos saying "MAJOR WINTER STORM ON THE WAY!" or "HUGE WINTER STORM ACCOMPANIED BY TORNADO OUTBREAK!" -_- Thanks for always setting things straight, Evan. You deserve to be as popular as any other weather coverage channel.
I agree with you. The only other excellent weather owrson I'd recommend is Weatherman Plus. He's so accurate weeks ahead of time, and is always truthful about everything.
I've recently cut many channels for for their crazy, falsified thumbnails! Yep...unsubbed and chose "don't recommend channel". So glad you are REAL.🤗❤️👍
this is what weather is about not scaring tf out of everybody. i like ryan hall but he clickbaits along with max velocity love them both. but they clickbait on every video. thank you for accurate weather i suffer with a little tornado anxiety from a 2020 tornado that happened like right beside me while i was alone at 15 or 16. you got a new subscriber brother.
Same! I didn't really know anyone else watched max velocity ( I did because he has lots of subs) but I just said that because people don't usually comment about him on different channels. But yes! They click bait so much
@rubberknees take your meds. When the weather goes crazy its always the government, but for some reason climate change doesn't exist. Nope. Its the government
I appreciate you so much dude. Thanks for doing the endless work of un-hyping forecasting. Lots of people out there are being spooked by bad actors using their real fear for ad revenue.
Thank you brother !!! About time these scare tactics and click bait get called out . . About time Garden variety weather stop being labeled " WEATHER DEATH STORM 2024" . . . .MUCH APPRECIATED
I've noticed that my local weather gurus are unable to keep up when the weather mayhems get out of hand. Some people had no warning, and the entire neighborhood was leveled. If a line of storm and weather boxes are in your surroundings, just go ahead and take cover. It's better to be safe than sorry. Especially if you have a tornado shelter available.
Thank You So Much Evan..Your Honesty…Is A Big Reason I Support Your Channel…The Only Channel I Support Like That..God Bless You Brother And Have A Great Day❤️🙏🏻❤️
I don't know where you are located but in devestated western NC hit by Helene, these freezing Temps are going to cause us a huge challenge. Below freezing for 2 days could be life threatening for some
Saying "You shouldn't really be concerned about the tornado threat" when there is a 5 percent is incredibly irresponsible. I have chased TWO percents and watched a house get caved in. Stay alert people not a half assed "stay weather aware I GUESS"
First time I watched this guy, so I have no favortism here...but what do you expect him to say? "All you catastrophists, start boarding up your windows now and take a bunch of canned goods down to your basement. Stay there until further notice!!" Staying aware is fine, as long as you know what may happen. We used to go spend a weekend out at my buddy's grandfather's cottage in Black Walnut PA, a small town right outside Tunkhannock and directly on the Susquehanna River. About 20 years ago, a tornado came right across the river through the property, snapped a 6" diameter branch off a tree that smashed through one of the visitor's windshields parked in the driveway. This is not tornado country and someone would have been killed if they had been sitting in that car. Of course, everyone was watching the weather and saw the thunderstorms coming, so they were prepared...but what's gonna happen is what's gonna happen. People going out and getting the proverbial milk, eggs and bread every time there is snow in the forecast is the same principle. As if it's gonna turn out like something out of "The Day After Tomorrow" movie. It's good to be concerned, but not overly to encite panic, like the hype-thumbnails he's alluding to in the video. By the way, I'm a synthetic chemist by trade and if during every reaction I did, I worried about blowing up the lab/building, I wouldn't get much done as far as filling orders.
To clarify, he says “I wouldn’t really be worried about the tornado threat,” and prior he says exactly what the 5% risk means (5% chance of a TOR within 25 miles of any given area). He doesn’t shrug it off. On the other hand it would have been nice to go into more detail on timing since this will be a nocturnal event which immediately ramps up the danger level. But I understand what you mean.
I checked my local weather and perhaps here in NE Ohio, we might have a little snow on Thursday or perhaps simply rain, then a warm up. Some of these reports are ridiculous
thats what happens and when you click on it they really say a bunch of regular stuff lol. Good job for being a real one. Finally someone who points out the obvious and doesnt stand for foolishness just for views.
Love you Evan! You are so right...if there's anything that gets on my nerve is clickbait. Uhg! I'd so love some crazy snow this winter in Nashville, TN. Bring it on!
I rather have weather channels who telling a bit over the top, then some who telling, it's not so bad as others telling you *and then it is bad.. Like Ryan Hall always said "Don't be scared, be prepared".. And I go for that.. Always .. 😊
👍 So true . Im So sick of "Click Bait" dishonesty wasting everyones time . Its not just the weather noise . So sick of all these commercials cutting into you tube viewings . So are spot on acurate about vt . We want & look foward to enjoying snow storms . If not . Live in florida .
Thank you for your honesty and clearing up the misinformation,, I thought as much two days ago,,and I agree, lying to get clicks or any other reason is wrong
Here in northern mitten of Michigan,we haven’t had a bit of snow…usually by now we have had several brief snowfalls. Can’t wait until we get a real snowstorm.
What's really crazy is that you didn't listen to a single word I said in the video. It's 30 minutes on model analysis and possible solutions. Then again why watch my video when you can watch someone else just complain for 12 minutes without giving any meteorological info.
Thanks for being honest and not scaring people. Direct westher has some crazy thumbnails lol. So does ryan hall, Max velocity, da weather dude, and so much more
I’m not pointing out any particular channel btw and I did not recognize those maps but the caption photos are the biggest issue it seems. “Clique bait” they say.
Evan I appreciate this video and I agree I am even a little turned away from clickbait style thumbnails and titles. Snow models have become more bearish as we get closer to the event. But anyone who has dabbled in weather should know snow forecasting is the hardest forecasting of all. I personally put zero merit into any snow forecast until at least 48 hours out. This is a good discussion though on the ethics and moral responsibility that anyone who puts weather info out there, including myself on my Facebook channel, has to inform the public of severe weather and its impacts. Given the general public’s lacking response to tornado warnings, for example, because “not all tornado warnings produce tornadoes” is something I am working on and aware of. We can’t do anything that will distance ourselves from the public’s response to weather events. Thanks for this.
Your efforts at warning about weather and forecasting misinformation is much needed and appreciated. And NO, it's NOT OKAY for creators, if you will, to lie for the sake of attracting clicks to their videos and streams. And it's never been okay. Just as it's always been revolting behavior in the context of the internet! Still, I see so much of this on YT, I have to believe YT willfully turns a blind eye to it. Another rationalization that may be encountered relates to the misleading headlines we too often see on internet news media posts. This is quite common, in the context of news media on Facebook, for example. But in their case, news media seems to think most users will scroll right past that news post and ONLY read the misleading headline.
Thank you so much for this video. I have just cancelled my subscription to another weather channel. We live in Duluth MN, and have endured multiple. “Storms of the Century” all last winter, only to receive a small amount of rain, snow, or wind. Too bad RUclips rewards this tactic.
I am going to be honest, I knew something was fishy, when it was moving down to Georgia, the reason I thought that was fishy is because most of Georgia in general hasn’t got any snow in the past (almost) 7 years.
Politicians and news reporters lie, why not meteorologists? Supreme Court said it is OK if you lie. Said if you really believe something which turns out to be incorrect, it's not a lie. Every once in a while the weather reporter will look out of the window to see what the weather is really doing, and may actually be correct! Good report Evan. I'm tired of Bombshells and Game-changers. Thank you.
A flash flood happened here in central Louisiana recently and some neighbors had decided to dump logs and branches in the creek a few months ago....which caused a blockage at the bridge and flooded homes and cars along the creek. Geniuses! The water came right up to my doorstep and covered my yard and gardens right as it was getting dark then power and phone service failed. I saw several backhoes a few days later removing the blockage.
Glad you made this video. I was thinking these same thoughts a day or two ago. Someone was was hyping record early snow for an area I lived in the late 70's. Back then we had 4-6 inches of snow around Halloween a couple years in a row. Yeah, record early snow. Not. I un-subbed from their channel and left a message saying why.
Tbh, the only 3 that people really can rely upon is you, max and ryan. Maybe a little bit of NWW 116 and that girl Jessica from Miami. BUT realistically the only 3 that really know what they are talking about is you 3. Edit: I see you called out Max. That "blob" low key makes sense. This year had more tornadoes than the last 10 years and it's not even over yet
Max Velocity doesn't do anything related. I can advocate for the man.
I am a Farmer so I can understand the weather thing, but Max Velocity is reliable bud.
We did have the spring outbreak... we've had 1500+ tornadoes this year.
Evan is the best!
Ty Evan. Truth in weather reporting matters. Appreciate your integrity.
So you’re saying I didn’t need to barricade my house against the invasion? Dammit.
Thank you Evan for exposing the truth about the weather. I always appreciate you!!
Thanks for setting the record straight!
Thank you for this. Finally someone says what we're thinking every time those weather video thumbnails pop up. It's so funny too when new ones pop up, they start off accurate then you can see in real time as they adjust to the algorithm, and in a couple months it's practically the whole country covered in a red blob with text like AHHHHHHH!!!!! lol
He does the same thing
@@ValorQuestStudios that's why I watch Rayen hall yall
This is the good stuff- I’m running this vid a couple more times at least- to up the view numbers a bit, because truth in reporting deserves it!
what i hate just as much as over hyping/overestimating the weather
is under hyping/underestimatimg the weather

The two you named are both getting carried away when it comes to weather modification denial. It is real, they just don't want to end a paycheck.

Lying? Maybe. Misinformation? More likely.
But I agree RUclips is a cesspool of clickbait.
Thanks for the updated video.
Phew that made me feel better! I'm in Illinois and it was highlighted in a few areas.Thank you for uploading!
The temperature forecast for southern Michigan is to warm for a snowstorm! Hate these click bates. I’m not ignorant. 😊
Very good "no-nonsense" weather forecasting from EF! 👍👍
I've noticed that my local weather gurus are unable to keep up when the weather mayhems get out of hand. Some people had no warning, and the entire neighborhood was leveled. I love this. Dude we need someone to shame these clowns. I now demand a weekly lowlight reel of the worst RUclips weather thumbnails.
You're right!- I was thinking to myself why does the doomsday reports on RUclips not match what the local weather is saying?
Good morning Evan! Thanks for the accurate weather info
Nice work. Keep up the good fight. We need facts now more than ever.
Thank you for doing this. Please call these dirtbags out every.single.day.
WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE...until we actually take the time to watch the video and realize we got trumped into clickbait
On point as always Evan thanks for update
I'm in Wisconsin - thank you for this!
You just got my subscription. Keep it real. Thank you.

Lol, thank you! I think here in northern KY that we might get some snow or flurries but it's too warm to stick to the ground😊

Evan dissing everyone today for the misinformation (respectfully) hahaha great video Evan and i haven't even finished
Good morning Evan and everyone 🎉
So basically it is November and we are getting November weather.
Wake up y'all! A new video just dropped 🥓🥓🥓
Cheese, sour cream, and butter, I'll be there in a few 😊
Good Morning Evan ☕️

Man I was starting to hate meteorologists like all the other "gists" good job on calling out bullshit
Ryan Hall is not spreading the hype. He is accurate 99% of the time. Thanks for backing him up!
Ryan Hall is one of the worst ones LOL
@@Koakoa45 I would say Max Velocity, but it's ok to disagree :)
I’m over all the clickbaiting. New sub. I now need to go unsubscribe from the liars. Over it. Thank you for the TRUTH!!😊

Sorry this happened to you GM. Don’t let him get to you. He does better at analyzing thumbnails than he does weather 🤭 Keep doing what you’re doing
Im with you evan is very uncautious about these storms and basically saying a 5 percent is nothing is crazy hes just a wanna be meteorologist
@gmengelweather don't even give this clown the time of day. You do you! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for being honest and not scaring people. Direct westher has some crazy thumbnails lol. So does ryan hall, Max velocity, da weather dude, and so much more

Been checking the NWS and local metrologists and nobody saying artic blast. If anything they're saying temps dropping to seasonal averages.
I always use only the ECMWF especially for winter weather.
Heck ya call out them bullshitters!!!

Yea I'm in S.E. Ohio. They say Thursday will be terrible.
I hope you know those channels are AI generated and they get shut down quick.
