Cheers Greg, good tutorial. It’s daunting thinking about how to do this when you’ve never done it before, I can see now it’s alot easier than you would think.
I was FF’ing a lot thru this but that’s bcuz I was watching tv at the same time lol. I don’t have a PWC but when I do this knowledge will come in handy so thanks 🙏!
Great video. With heavier jetskis and boats, you can snatch the trailer out with a line attached to the back of your car. You tow out on an angle to lever the trailer wheels out of the sand which they've sunk into.
This has never been an issue for me, i understand what you are saying but by the time its shaken about on the trailer and been washed out, its not effecting much at all, however its different for everyone of course, nothing has been hidden 🙌
GREAT VIDEO¡ BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU TAKE DEEP ENOUGH TO TURN THE MOTOR ON, AND HOW YOU TAKE THE JETSKY TO THE SHORE WITH THW MOTOR OFF SOTHE MOTOR DOES NOT TAKE SAND AND DEBRIS IN THE WATER INTAKE
Ye its difficult on such a shallow beach, but once off the trailer you can push it further out, being careful of surroundings and whats underfoot, a slightly steeper beach would be better but nature is nature. I usually, push the ski out to just over knee height and then jump on and start up at idle, this will reduce the risk of picking anything up until its deep enough, usually in the uk at least you cant go more than 4knots within approx 50-100mtrs (this varies) due to swimming areas. Its all about minimising sand intake, you can only do so much, or else its swim out and maybe put yourself in danger. Simply dont come near the beach with too much much throttle. Always wash the ski out after use. Hope this helps
Yes, on the East Coast here in NC and SC your trailer would sink into the sand before you got it anywhere near the water. My ski weighs 800lbs plus the trailer weight.
yes Greg...we were at Rhosneigr as usual a few weeks back and these guys launched and the ski wouldnt start...We always start the ski before we hitch up and then again on the beach.....hopefully thats enough.....see you somewhere sometime....
@@gregmarthabutler I'm ordering one from a UK Amazon supplier, should be here in a few weeks. For some reason, in the US, all the options we have a either a single or double jockey wheel that is quite skinny and hard plastic (or resin) and just sinks into sand, only meant to maneuver on concrete. There are no boat ramps where i go in Mexico, so i need to launch my pwc attached to my truck or get a proper jockey wheel to hand launch it off the shore.
Don’t know of any on the north Cornish coast, best bet is south coast, ones I’ve launched from…. Fowey , Falmouth, saltash and a few places in Plymouth (out to sea, turn right…Cornish coast )
@@michaelboland2834 as you go on to the beach, the wardens will explain where the launch area is. I think this is what you mean? ha. There is a fee for launching but hasnt been released yet for next season but usually is £15 a day or £150 for a years pass. Thanks for watching
I do this technique will all skis, yes it can be easier with two people launching bigger skis, however i launch a Seadoo GTX no problem. One thing i can really recommend for beach launching is wider trailer wheels and an inflatable jockey to reduce sinking in the sand 👍 Thanks for watching ✌️
Worst launch! Get close to water, disconnect the winch strap.reverse with steady speed until trailor hits water(even better if a little wave is timed.slam on brakes, ski slides off , minimal salt water exposure to car too. To have a beach that isn't extremely boggy in Australia is rare, no way your pulling that trailor by hand, with a ski on it would take 20 men. Even a good 4x4 with tyres deflated can struggle
@@gregmarthabutler i have already and trust me. 😂. Odd time ive had to luckily only short pull to soft and it just sinks. Ski is cruiser and just far to heavy

Great tip about pulling the trailer out by the winch strap never thought of that thanks

Same lol. I hope to get one soon
The power of RUclips! haha It sucks you in and it's hard to get out
Thanks mate! you have a great one!
Great little tip there to use the winch strap to pull the empty trailer 👍

You can indeed of course 🙌
Thanks, this useful, while I think how I should to transfer waterbike, after order.
Brilliant tip about towing out with the strap...cheers greg...

Awesome video! Well presented and thank you 👍🏾
Interesting. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great work !!
Winner! Now show us how to launch Thunderbird 3
Nice vid but I’d like to see him do it with a double jetski trailer
Robert owen just won seadoo dealer of the year
Gman ye its fantastic news, great guys all of them 👍
Great video! Mega helpful!! Cheers
Oh I like the way you edit out the part where the intake got pulled through the sand , putting sand into your intake will Damage your JetSki

Great now try it on seadoo RXT IS like that. And i will watch you do it. Haha
DIY MAN i will video it with mine 😜
@@gregmarthabutler the reason i said that because i have one and it weighs as much as small car. Lol
DIY MAN i have a GTX LTD, it is worth having the wide wheeled trailer for sure, makes it much easier 👍

thx mate
Good job
Can you do this with a big three seater? GTX seadoo?
Yes i had a 2018 gtx 300 no problem
Very, very good but how about check the ski starts before launching...
PapaRa Jellybean this is something i will be sure to put in another video for sure in the future, glad you liked the video 👍

Hey Greg, very good vid. Mind if we embed it on our site?
AKLSeaRider ye dont see why not ✌️ thank you 👍
What's the third wheel up front called? we don't have that in the US
We call it a jockey wheel you may call it a winder/stabiliser wheel iv not noticed that across the pond 🙃

Get in.....🤣👏👏☘
GREAT..... Now I gotta buy a jet ski....
Love the seadoo spark mate
Best seadoo on the market in terms to fun.. Such a blast to ride
My 6yo daughter loves her spark, you boys should try the RXT OR RXP
Anybody know the best beaches to legally launch from in cornwall?
Thats something id like to know myself, really would like to go explore down there ✌️

Get video mate any change you could give me the location for this area
Black Rock Sands Porthmadog, north West Wales
@@gregmarthabutler they a specific part mate

My beach is stone is there away around this
"Do not put your car in to salt water" bwahahaha come to Canada where we ride our cars in salt brine for 6 months of the year, every year.
And they rust right?
Maybe do a bigger ski?

Whales, yeah. I see many of them

No chance of recovering say a SHO on your own. To heavy. Trailer will sink. Plus to recover onto a trailer from beached position
It may be worth looking at the wide wheels for your trailer as they don't sink half as quick, I have a seafood GTX big ski and they really help.
@@gregmarthabutler i have already and trust me. 😂. Odd time ive had to luckily only short pull to soft and it just sinks. Ski is cruiser and just far to heavy
lol ive been there
Bitchen, thanks
Why not just use a boat launch
You can of course but in britain there isnt many on the beaches
How to ruin your trailer completely. The moment I seen you walk in the water with shoes on I was done 😴
Man everytime I see another spark I hate the design even more! They're so ugly imo.
live and let live great fun though 😜
@@gregmarthabutler could be! I ride an stx12f so yeah it would be more versatile

Great, now how about cooking a meat pie?
Hahaha lets do it
Fuck me 10 mins...
Such a horrible spot to launch.
Get to the point mate...duh
