Shinigami Eye we have digital imax at luxe. What we don't have is film iMax.
Film IMAX doesnt exist anymore in India, only few left in world. In Hyderabad Prasads was the true 70MM IMAX but they switched to dual 4k now

*Theatres' inability to cope up with the technological advancements on their own, is the actual reason why corporates like Qube can monopolise and control our cine industry. Theatres should take efforts to hire right technicians to upgrade and maintain their equipments. Instead these theater owners have lazily allowed Qube to take care of all the technological aspects for free, in return producers and the audiences are burdened with hidden and extra costs. How forensic watermarking haven't yet managed to expose any theater that allows coverage of pirated copies we see in tamilrockers? Qube is a corporate bullshit. Theaters should stop taking everyone for granted, First of all their canteen snacks are 10-20 times higher than the actual cost, They also treat public as prisoners by restricting them to not exit during interval, & own snacks are not allowed inside the theaters. Moreover Qube earns from the Advertisements which audiences don't really like to watch in a theater. On the other side, these theater owners have comfortably conspired with qube to pass on the equipment costs to the producers. People should show some mercy for the greatest risk takers of our biggest entertainment industry. Our people supporting Qube in this issue is very absurd.*
you are supporting only producers..and just u people have to know..the risk is also taken as a burden by theatre owners(talking about single theatre owners *in other districts not about city theatres)
Praveen R it's about how to sustain the entire industry, if someone can't do the job as required that person won't have any value in that market. If some theatres can't withstand the market trend in a fair way, then they don't deserve that business. And theatres normally have no risk at all, because at least 3-4 major movies are released in a month. They earn from canteen and ticket sales. Some Distributers have taken control over the theatres in order to dilute the black money they collect from unknown sources. These distributors eventually started to finance the new Producers to control the entire industry (eg., Anbuchelian - Sasi Kumar issue). Producers spend for the movie, why should they pay for the theatre equipments also.
