Korea will continue making more boy groups and some will go on to break all of TVXQ's records, but they will never sound this good. The five of them were magical together, magic we lost...but the memories will always remind us of that perfect time when the best was also the most popular.
Even up to this present time, no other group has surpassed DB5K's vocal capabilities as a whole. I haven't heard another group who can harmonize as well as them, whose members can all pass as main vocals, who can perform live as flawless as them. It's been more than a decade and I still cry each time I listen to this song. I miss them so much but I know we can never have them back together again

Sechskies was disbanded bcs their company fcked them up (literally) the members even went against the agency and decided to disband on the peak of their career. 16 years later, they reunited (2016 - now) under a different agency and make new musics. Except for one member who alrd left the kpop industry bcs he alrd have a company and family with a son. One other member left bcs of a controversy tho. Even after all these things being mentioned, DBSK have a lot of potential to do so too.

I've never seen any group with better harmonization. Five powerful voices but they blend so well together. DB5K is indeed unparalleled. There's a lot of great groups but none can reach this level of vocal performance.
The song is like a wine. Gets better and better as time flies. I still admire how Jaejoong and Junsu sings from the bottom of their hearts and still support them in 2022.
It's funny, no matter what I listen I always come back to DBSK ballads. Sometimes you only listen to new songs and forget the old ones. But never for DB5K. Maybe it's true music. It's not even about me, I just think my ears love them xD
Nope.. this was released in Japan in 2007 and in Korea late 2008. It's quite telling by their hair and outfits for either version and the fact they weren't active in Korea during the time this was released. No, it doesn't matter where it's originally from but getting it right does.
Japanese composer Shinjiroh Inoue wrote it for Tohoshinki in 2007 and it was released as their 12th single in the same year. It was later included in their 2008 Korean album "Mirotic" (Korean lyrics written by Changmin).
To me DB5K will always have the best live performances. They are perfect in every way and are the standard for any new idol group. But sadly we don’t get groups like them anymore. If only we were able to protect them till the end as 5.
I don't think I will ever get over DB5K's split. It's been so long but there still hasn't been any other groups close to being at their level. They are all individual powerhouses but when put together they harmonize so well. It still upsets me to think all they could've been if they remained one unit. I will always support them individually and in their current groups but there will always be that love and respect for DB5K nothing else can ever replace.
This, Bolero, Stand By U, Picture Of U, and Proud are the songs that brought tears the most:( The whole kpop combined is nothing compare to how talented Dbsk is. 🙌🙌🙌
I was impressed when I was young and saw this for the first time, but now that I think about how they were like 19-21 at the time... like, how was it even possible for them to convey this depth of emotion...

If anyone stumbles across this comment, I just came from Junsu’s Ballad & Musical Concert Vol. 6 in Korea and at the end of the concert, he sang a medley of DBSK songs and it was during this song that he got choked up. To be honest, I bawled during the entire medley. There are still so much unresolved feelings and so much love that remains despite the years and the distance. ❤️
I'm so jealous! He's my bias in dbsk and I was lucky enough to see his solo concert in LA back in 2012. I really miss him and want to see him live again 😭😭😭

Few songs give me cold chills, and this song was one of them. DBSK may not be my bias group, but I will never doubt the fact they are a legend or the insane talent they as a whole and as solos have. It kills me when people who only like newer groups say that DBSK and Super Junior are old, when kpop would be nothing without them. Super Junior and DBSK paved the way for junior groups like exo, without SJ SM never would have done exo. DBSK fighting!

i love exo and super junior and it annoys me to no end when people say that. just because exo is the hottest thing right now doesnt mean suju or dbsk/tvxq's influence changed. suju was the first very large group sm did for males, they wouldve never repeated it with exo if it didnt prove to work. suju also made international success possible. im in america and i had heard of super junior WAY before i got into kpop. i didnt know much but i knew it was an asian boy group. sorry sorry is probably one of the most influential kpop songs that will ever exist.
Taesty Taegi imo, it's true that both exo & bts are nowadays 'legends'. they are exceptionally good, though.. I must admit it. both groups has their own colours,power & uniqueness. But, maaan.. nothing indeed can compare to DB5K. they are what we call the 'TRUE LEGEND'. #stillwannakeepthefaith Besides, everybody's definition of 'legend' are differents, I guess
maybe it will be more accurate if we say that DB5K (and several group at that time) is the group that 'OPEN' the gate of kpop to the world. at that time kpop barely or freshly known to the worldwide. so I think it's quite unfair to equalize db5k with bts or exo. it's on a different era.

Hearing this for the first time in 2024, all because of Junsu and #ZipDaesung. Wow! TVXQ could really sing and still do! All I really knew of TVXQ (OG5) was 'Balloons' (because of Moonbin from Astro - miss him always) & 'Mirotic' (because... just because) until recently. Every time Xia Junsu is a guest on someones youtube channel, I'm introduced to old songs, that are completely new to me. Heard 'Rising Sun' & 'In Heaven' for the first time last week. Got a lot of catching up to do!
Can I suggest Beautiful Thing by Xia Junsu (it's under TVXQ youtube channel) - I'm sure you'll LOVE it if you love Junsu's voice + these types of songs
Been a fan since 2005. I was 12 years old back then, now I'm 30 and actually getting married! I still remember your music just like it was yesterday. All my albums and merch still stored perfectly in my dusty old cabinets. So many years have passed, and yet you cannot still be surpassed by other kpop groups in terms of talent. Thank you for all the good memories. I'll always have it with me until I grow old.
It breaks my heart knowing that their not all together in DBSK anymore. I cry while watching old videos of them all together, their happy memories together.

DBSK as 5 will always be one of the classic all time bands of k-pop. They were so powerful, legendary. Maybe sometime in the future they can stand together on the stage again, just for old time's sake. I'll be waiting for that day.

You're right though, he was very laid back and shared his innermost feelings with very few people. Even during interviews, he was always chill, content to just ride along... But I guess that's also why he ended up writing a lot of songs :)
Sandy Young totally agree, he's always had that chill personality but at the same time you can feel he is a very deep person , he's got the most sensitive nature and he is very emotional, he easily cries and when you let him choose a name for something it would always have that deep emotional meaning ( the lyrics of the songs he writes, even the name of his dog harang Lol ) Jaejoong is my ultimate bias ( I am a totally crazy out of control fan of him actually lol ) but I've always been intrigued by yoochun, he is effortlessly charming and interesting in so many ways.... and I like how jaejoong seems to be the one who understands him the most.

(I miss him and Changmin bullying Junsu) The only one he was usually quiet/tame around was Yunho. Yoochun knows how to match the mood of all his members perfectly. He can be crazy with Jae, cute with Junsu, mean with Changmin, serious with Yunho. Ahh gosh, I miss them. Also, I'm Xiah biased :) Atm, more into JYJ than TVXQ because I prefer JYJ's sound. Plus, my baby Xiah's there so... lol

this is a korean originally, but since TVXQ is also active in Japan and promotes in Japanese, some of their songs have japanese versions. But it does not change the fact that all versions, korean or japanese, are all breathtaking.

Now part of it has come true ☺️ Yunho and Jaejoong were seen together in the army, Yunho hosted, Jaejoong performed. People said they chatted for a while, hugged, and shook hand :D When I found this out I started crying, all we have wait for is all 5 of them to meet :')
This is still, in my opinion, DBSK's best live rendition of this song (at least for the Japanese version). After all these years, Jaejoong's sweet, soothing, and charming voice has never failed to melt my heart whenever I listen to him singing his parts.

Why would you want them back together? They were under harsh contractual terms that worked them like slaves by their management company

23.10.28 현재 18살 내 학창시절을 동방신기로 마무리 할 수 있어서 너무 감사하고 행복함.. 솔직히 말하면 언제까지 좋아할지는 모르겠지만 아마 내 평생 가장 따뜻한 추억으로 남을거라는건 확실하다. 그런 추억을 쌓을 수 있게해줘서 너무 고마움. 친구들은 나를 보고 요즘 아이돌이 아니라 굳이...?라고 하지만 난 대답않고 그냥 피식 웃고만다. 덧붙여 설명할 필요도 없이 좋아해보면 알게된다. 이런 보석같은 사람들을 모르고 살고있었다니 조금만 더 일찍 알았으면 좋았을텐데.. 다른 애들 다 그룹 콘서트가고 컴백무대볼때 나는 한 그룹인데도 완전체의 모습도 사적인 접점이라도 볼 수 없는 지금, 아쉽고 보고싶은건 맞지만 그래도 후회없음 이 사람들을 제대로 본 순간부터 느낀 이 감정들을 뭐라고 표현해야할지 정말 할 말이 너무 많은데 정말 한마디로만 표현하자면 보석같다.인 것 같음 가만히 있어도 아름답게 빛이 나는 보석.. 동경하고 사랑함
님은 뭘 좀 아는거 같음. 예술적 성향이 있어보이는데 그쪽 계통으로도 장래 한번 생각해보삼~ 좋은것들 중에서도 뭐가 특별한지를 알아채는 감각이 있고 남들보다 더 많은걸 느낄 수 있는 재능이 있어보임. 28살인 내 시선에서 그렇게 생각되어지니 그런 부분을 살릴만한 분야가 없는지 한번 진지하게 고민해봤음 좋겠음. 스킬은 나중에 언제라도 갈고 닦을 수 있음. 예술에서 가장 중요한 덕목은 느끼고 흡수하고 인지하는 감각이니까...

DBSK may not be my bias group, but I will never doubt the fact they are a legend or the insane talent they as a whole and as solos have.
It kills me when people who only like newer groups say that DBSK and Super Junior are old, when kpop would be nothing without them. Super Junior and DBSK paved the way for junior groups like exo, without SJ SM never would have done exo.

i love exo and super junior and it annoys me to no end when people say that. just because exo is the hottest thing right now doesnt mean suju or dbsk/tvxq's influence changed. suju was the first very large group sm did for males, they wouldve never repeated it with exo if it didnt prove to work. suju also made international success possible. im in america and i had heard of super junior WAY before i got into kpop. i didnt know much but i knew it was an asian boy group. sorry sorry is probably one of the most influential kpop songs that will ever exist.

But, maaan.. nothing indeed can compare to DB5K. they are what we call the 'TRUE LEGEND'.

Yea I will never get over them. I always come back in disbelief of how good they were. Til this day no one can replicate the vocals and talent that DBSK brought. They were so special.
Hearing this for the first time in 2024, all because of Junsu and #ZipDaesung. Wow! TVXQ could really sing and still do! All I really knew of TVXQ (OG5) was 'Balloons' (because of Moonbin from Astro - miss him always) & 'Mirotic' (because... just because) until recently. Every time Xia Junsu is a guest on someones youtube channel, I'm introduced to old songs, that are completely new to me. Heard 'Rising Sun' & 'In Heaven' for the first time last week. Got a lot of catching up to do!
Can I suggest Beautiful Thing by Xia Junsu (it's under TVXQ youtube channel) - I'm sure you'll LOVE it if you love Junsu's voice + these types of songs

Been a fan since 2005. I was 12 years old back then, now I'm 30 and actually getting married! I still remember your music just like it was yesterday. All my albums and merch still stored perfectly in my dusty old cabinets. So many years have passed, and yet you cannot still be surpassed by other kpop groups in terms of talent. Thank you for all the good memories. I'll always have it with me until I grow old.

DBSK as 5 will always be one of the classic all time bands of k-pop. They were so powerful, legendary. Maybe sometime in the future they can stand together on the stage again, just for old time's sake. I'll be waiting for that day.

I just realized Yoochun's high notes are really impressive I never expected him to sound so good !
His original pitch for the high note was lower, but he suggested to make it higher because he thought he could express the song's feelings better that way.... and he was right ^-^ so even during Bolero (same composer as LITI), he had a high note

You're right though, he was very laid back and shared his innermost feelings with very few people. Even during interviews, he was always chill, content to just ride along...
But I guess that's also why he ended up writing a lot of songs :)
Sandy Young totally agree, he's always had that chill personality but at the same time you can feel he is a very deep person , he's got the most sensitive nature and he is very emotional, he easily cries and when you let him choose a name for something it would always have that deep emotional meaning ( the lyrics of the songs he writes, even the name of his dog harang Lol )
Jaejoong is my ultimate bias ( I am a totally crazy out of control fan of him actually lol ) but I've always been intrigued by yoochun, he is effortlessly charming and interesting in so many ways.... and I like how jaejoong seems to be the one who understands him the most.

The only one he was usually quiet/tame around was Yunho. Yoochun knows how to match the mood of all his members perfectly. He can be crazy with Jae, cute with Junsu, mean with Changmin, serious with Yunho. Ahh gosh, I miss them.

This is still, in my opinion, DBSK's best live rendition of this song (at least for the Japanese version). After all these years, Jaejoong's sweet, soothing, and charming voice has never failed to melt my heart whenever I listen to him singing his parts.
