I have the same fear of sleeping through an alarm. Not for work because I work remotely and I’m able to set my own schedule. But whenever I travel or have some event that requires me to be there early, I keep waking up throughout the night and actually even dream that I have slept through my alarm. Ugh!
me too! I go to sleep really early before a trip or event, but I barely get any sleep because I am always so anxious about sleeping through my alarm. Lately when I have uni at like 11am, I dream about missing the class even though it's still only 5am

Just like you make time to go to work each day you gotta try to make time to do the things that matter and are important in life including yoga, out for walks, reading, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, etc...life is a long journey for everyone and it's not how we start it but how we end it.
I have gotten so used to my alarm ringing by 5:00 that I wake up around 4:58 almost everyday just before my alarm
hahaha must be muscle memory!
I just had my first week of working a full time job (it went pretty well!) and for most of the week, I slept so badly because I kept waking up, just like you described.
Eventually the exhaustion fully kicked in and I was able to sleep through the night on Thursday.
I always find that when I'm specifically anxious about getting enough sleep for something (like starting a new job, doing a driving test, etc.), it takes me hours to get to sleep and then I keep waking up and calculating how much sleep I will be able to get 😂 Luckily I sleep okay most of the time though, and now that the new job jitters are out of the way, I should be alright.

My husband has the alarm issue because he works evenings so he doesn't normally need one. If he has a day time apt, I just wake him instead so he doesn't have to stress🤣 fun video! When you mentioned going for a walk, I could never after all that lol

Love the wholesome vibe. I haven't used an alarm since 2020. When I went full time remote I just woke when I woke. However, I do like to sleep with a sound app on my phone. The app lasts exactly 8 hours. Once that sound turns off I start to naturally wake up.

I have a fear of oversleeping also and usually wake up a time or two throughout the night. As far as having the phone by the bed yes great for safety. I also don’t have a clock in my bedroom so I use the phone for an alarm.
ugh why is it so hard for us girlies to get a good night's sleep??
100% same on the sleeping thing! Finals Week was always especially bad, because on top of the waking up every few minutes, in those short bursts of sleep, I’d also dream that I slept through all my exams (despite having like 3 different alarms set on 3 different devices 😂). Weirder is that I’ve never actually overslept through anything important like that, so that anxiety is completely unfounded for me lol. Loved the video, looks like you’re thriving in your DC era and I’m so happy for you!!
I've never overslept either!! Probably because I'm waking myself up every 10 minutes lmao 😅 but anxiety is a crazyyyy thing
