  • Cameron Weiss, master watchmaker and founder of family-owned Weiss Watch Company, dives into watchmaking in this new series.
How does an analog watch display time? The hands, one of the most important parts of the watch for the user. Without them we would have no display and no way of reading the watch. Watch this episode to learn about how the hands are made and how they are assembled.

I’ve owned a Weiss for about five years now and I can’t believe I am just coming across your YT channel. Thank you 🙏 I for one also appreciate every little detail no matter how beginner or expert the information is. Keep doing what you do. Love the content.

It's so hard to photograph the black oxide finish you did on the white dial American issue 42! It's such a glossy black. I was really impressed with that when I first got the watch under the right light. 🤙

nkuwan You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much

Very interesting. That would explain the thickness on tritium watches... Marathons GMT's for example are super thick. Astonishing to see those canon pinions each having a hand fitted to it and each one operating independently. I also love to see the variety in hand types! Sword, snowflake, cathedral and Mercedes and everything in between, the variety really is endless! Hope you are doing well Cameron!

I'd like to see this channel grow, but your videos aren't really targeted to the right audience. You cover very basic information that horology aficionados already understand, that has been covered a million times on dozens of other channels. It would be much more interesting to see the manufacturing and assembly processes of an independent watchmaker in detail. Your videos feel like advertisements, which obviously they are, but that's not really the way to build engagement on RUclips. As a creator, you have to interact with your viewers and not be so aloof. Just my 2 cents.

I recommend to raise the playback speed to 1.25x for a better experience. Your welcome 🫡
