  • Something very different here. A bit of a vloggy type thing on one of my practice sessions. I often try and have a few hours after filming days just to try new tactics that I think could work.
This is one of those sessions where I'm trying to come work out how to evolve my pea paste method that has been working so well!

Nice of you to share your findings, Joe. I don’t think I could do it if I’m honest, lol. I’ve been experimenting on a new way of fishing a certain bait on the feeder and it seems to be working. Not willing to share it though, haha. But I suppose when your as talented as you are then Sharing comes easier. Thanks for all the knowledge and entertainment that you provide for us, Joe. 👏👍😁

I fished portland Waters old wood lake. Down the edge a firm paste works well and you can see the takes. Brill vids keep going

Nicely fished Joe. I definitely think you might have rewritten the rules of paste fishing. I have tried your original Pea fishing method with OK results. I am fishing a match on my home waters this weekend which has mainly got Carp from 1 to 12Lbs in it with a few F1's. I will have a go at trying your New method. Keep them tips coming as they are very much appreciated. Well done. Cheers

I fish with paste on feeders.
Get yourself 30g spring coil wire inline feeder, bag of fresh-soft slices toast, and 1 small bag of groundbait of your choice. Put 1l of water in bucket, sprikle handfull of groundbait for smell, stir and soak every slice of toast in water for a few second individualy (put damp slices aside next to bucket). When all slices are damp, remove water from bucket (eather throw it away, or put it in another container for latter), put all slices of damp toast back in empty bucket, and squash it with hand (looks like pulp). Gradualy put handfull of groundbait on tost pulp to stifen the paste mixing by hand. After paste stops stick to a bucket, it should be done (you can get softer paste for lake, or stiffer for river). If you like, you can add particles like wheat, hemp, 2mm pellets, or sweetcorn no problem. Squeez small chunks-balls of paste around wire feeder. 1 paste can last you 5hrs with 5min regular casts. If you want stronger smell, add liquid atractors of your choice in water before soaking tost slices (my favorite is scopex). Its cheap, and it can be used over 3 days.
