    This is by far the best African wildlife channel on RUclips. Astounding footage, allowing the animals and scenery speak for themselves without any annoying and distracting background music. Long may you continue

    I still hope Red Road Male will take over the Mbiri pride. Would be good in terms of genetic variety both for Mbiri as well as Nharu pride

      Red Road is potentially the son of Skorro Thanda Impi, the former pride males of the Mbiri Pride. So he's possibly the half brother of some of the Thandi Impi daughters and uncle to their offspring. No DNA tests so no way to confirm. He's also the son of a Birmingham Pride lioness so a cousin to Matimba and Orpen Daughters in the Mbiri pride. That's 100% confirmed. He is still less related than the two nearest coalitions, the Mbiri and Tintswalo Males, who are, as you probably know, all sons of the Mbiri Pride. Ross Males would be great candidates, but they're unlikely to ever leave the Birmingham Pride and they are pretty old. We need some Krueger lions to show up.

      @@evosebastiansicat4541There are photos of Skorro and his brother with the Pride and RRM as a cub. The lionesses probably mated with both coalitions. The father could be any of them.

      I think it is to much for a single male, when so many koalitions are around. Red Road should not spread himself too thin. That can be fatal. And I would hate seeing him die, like the Othawa Male, who was the most beautiful lion I've ever seen. He died so young that he couldn't spread his genes. 😢 He should have stayed with his pride.

      The Orpen Male Junior Nkuhuma and his partner Buddy died of Anthrax. They sired the 2 Subadults with the Mbiri Pride who were adopted when their son's the Tintswalos joined them.

    • @MrLoesoe
      @MrLoesoe 4 месяца назад +3

      the Mbiri lionesses are his mothers, sisters and cousins, I believe. They are all related. He might be capable of getting offsping with some of them but really he should leave the pride, it would be much better in terms of genetic variety

      Male lions will by instinct want to spread their genes it's built in their DNA. If you notice they will stay with a coalition for a while and after a few years they will either expand their territory by taking over another pride or just leave that pride and take over neighboring pride.
