Does this cable works in reverse? Meaning can you charge a normal usb type c device using this cable by introducing power from the xt60 end

Hmmm... interesting - I have tried this cable with my q8 and p10 and it wouldn't work... is it about the firmware on the chargers? I'm using a 70W usb c charger that is capable of delivering 20V (the soldering iron connected to it displays 19.5V - which is close enough) and I set the min input voltage for both the q8 and p10 at minimum - i.e. 10V...

I’m on the original firmware that shipped with my Q6 pro. Maybe you got a bad cable?

@@TitanFPV I've tried two cables - with the same result...
But I found the culprit - it's the usb c charger - for whatever reason - it won't power up these two chargers, even though it works perfectly fine with the soldering iron and as a jump-starter/power bank charger (in both cases the voltage goes up to 20V and the power output goes up to 70W). It even powers up a 6-in-1 whoop charger (again - the display on the 6-in-1 shows 20V), but if I connect one of the two ISDT chargers in parallel, via a Y-splitter - even the whoop charger turns off and starts blinking. There is something (big capacitors?) on the ISDTs that freeks out the usb c charger...
Edit: the funny thing is that my phone charger, that only delivers 9V does power up the two ISDTs via this cable (even if it is less than the minimum of 10V required by the chargers), but, of course, it is too weak to be able to charge any larger lipos...

Hi, is it safe to charge a smartphone using that set up?

If you are asking with the charger brick plus a normal usb-c cable, yes. USB-C regulates the charge voltage, so the phone will only pull the voltage it needs. I charged my iPad Pro with it yesterday, no issues.
