Very glad to find this - unsure I could do it on my own before dishing out a lot of coin. Going to attempt this evening on both taillights - stay tuned!
Thanks for the video! Because of the angle I couldn’t attach the bulb properly and it fell into the red cover. After watching I was able to take the piece off and easily shake the bulb out, properly insert it, and now all my lights work again!!
Thank you for posting this! 28 and dont know nothing bout fixing my car but i did by myself with this! had big issue getting it to fit with the grommet.
So I have a 2013 hybrid and the right side of the car from front to back, the tailight works but, it wont turn on with the rest of the lights. Only when I step on the break. The right side front also has an issue to where the led strip doesn't light up....any ideas?
Because I’m having the hardest time removing the cap cover for the brake light so it might be easier to remove the whole assembly first but I don’t have that tool unless I go buy it which I would rather not .
Thanks. The mechanic already had me go get my own parts, I was about to take it back to them and they told me it'd take a few hours and couldn't give me an estimate on how much it'd cost. Just did it myself 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave to take my car in. Lifesaver I can't get the corner where the white grommet part is to sit flush. I can't really tell if it's locking together, but I've tried reseating it a few times and it feels like there's only one way the light actually fits into the holes smoothly but when I do that the corner is still raised up a little bit. Any suggestions?
@@NoneMechanic101 I double checked, it's the right light for my car. Everything else fits snug except for the corner. It's only sitting up a little bit but you can push on it and it moves just a bit

It sound like the wiring. I would check that first.
What if I don’t have those tools to take out/put back the screws ? Is this something I can just do by hand?

@@SleeplessinOC I myself like having the proper tools when I’m working on repairs.
@@NoneMechanic101 how much does that tool cost ?

Make sure the light is the correct one. It should fit flush

Hello, I was replacing the brake light bulb out but it was stuck then it broke off. What is the best way to take out the base of the bulb? Thanks
Can you send me a picture of it. Also before you begin to work on something like that use safety and disconnect the negative terminal in the battery.
NoneMechanic101 send pic to where?

I have the exact same issue right now, please help!
If the housing connector broke, buy a new pigtail and replace it
