I've been leaning towards a Super Mag 48. Thanks for posting.

How accurate is that super mag bow compared to a say a 60” bow?

Awesome video love that bow ... What angle do you think the limbs are set back at? I know most normal recurves are set at 15 - 22° so I was wondering what the Super Mag is set at ... I don't own one so I can't measure it
Anyway that's a beautiful bow ... God bless ya!

Its crazy how much we have in common. I too shoot Beeman Centershot arrows, three under with a glove and use yarn string silencers. My question is, after 2 years how do you like the Supermag 48? I like shorter bows and am thinking about buying a new one. I draw 28" and prefer 45#. 3 Rivers has them in stock for $399. I have heard it is a very unforgiving bow. I have read lots of negative things about it and am hesitant to buy one. Any insight much appreciated. RR

I have a love hate relationship with the super mag. I buy one use it sell it buy another. Since I got into ILF bows more I like my 13” VPA riser with medium Uukha limbs. It’s 56” and love it for hunting even in a larger pop up blind. Got a deer with this setup last season. I like shorter bows.

I guess those bags under your 3D targets are to prevent arrows getting buried in the dirt?

Yes I teach and it’s easier to pull beginners arrows out of a bottom target than the grass.

Joe, I loved your vid on this bow. I love short bows and I've been thinking of buying a SM-48. I have a question, how long is your actual draw length?

    • @hunterarcher11

      My draw is 27.5

@@hunterarcher11 Mine used to be around 28 but now that I'm an old dude mine is 26.5" I sure do love that bow but I like the 52" just as much.

@@58landman I actually think my favorite is the 52”

@@hunterarcher11 I'm looking for it in 52". I own a Toelke Kestrel at 52", 40# at 28" and it's an exceptionally great bow with no issues at all. I have a bunch of bows but it is probably my favorite. Just wish the weather would warm up a little so that I can get out and shoot.

Did you take a deer with it last year? I love Supermagnum 48's, I have a black 1969 in #48 and a 1971 in #45, and I draw 29.5" without issue. Both are deadly accurate at 20 yards when I'm having a good day. On a bad day, I can miss just as bad with my Super Kodiaks and Jack Howard Gamemaster Jets! That #40 Supermagnum sure looks like a sweet shooter!!!

I actually let a friend use it for the season. Due to health couldn’t pull his 55# longbow back. He didn’t have the opportunity to shoot. He returned it to me after the season. He was a great outdoorsman and recently lost his battle with cancer.
