My grandmother born on January 1, 1900 and named Havana went on to become a cigar roller and was employed in the early 1900’s rolling special Cuban cigars. She was an artist Cuban cigar roller. They always gave her the most expensive and fancy Cuban cigars to roll.

another great show guys. I love hearing about the smaller families. Any plans to do a show on New Orleans or the Bufalino family?
Also, I've heard that William Delia from the Bufalino family is putting out a book on his life in the mob that comes out in July. It's gonna be written by Matt Birkbeck, the same author who wrote "The Quiet Don"

Wow, that was a great episode! I’ve seen Scott’s name about the place but never read any of his work. Definitely got to remedy that! Very knowledgeable, and a great communicator also. These small families that retain their Sicilian traditions seem really interesting. Like Tampa and the DeCavilcantes.

Great stuff as usual guys. Can’t wait for the next one. Scott is a great guest and I would love to hear a show really getting into a deep dive on Jerry Catena.. I think he’s one of the most underrated mobsters ever. On a personal note I emailed Scott years ago about the Tampa Mafia, he answered my questions and couldn’t be nicer. Just a great guy.

If you like Catena you should look into Tony Ricci aka ‘Tony Gobbles’
He was an absolute powerhouse for the Genovese administration With major connections with Chicago and Detroit. Much like Russ Bufalino.

A show about Denver or Dallas would be interesting. I’ve always been so fascinated with the really small families that were included amongst the 26 total back in the day.

Archeologists - have you guys thought of doing any Viewer Q&A shows? I don’t know about the other viewers, but there are tons of things I would like to pick your minds about 😂

Not really a good history of Tampa organized crime and really misses historical developments. Scott totally neglects to discuss the intense law enforcement effort at the federal level lead by the strike force and Mad Dog Bob Merkle that led to numerous convictions. That law enforcement effort had a huge effect on organized crime in Tampa.
