Im glad I am not the only one who loves this old school LCN subject matter
Can’t wait! I’ve listen to every one of your videos.. the best info around
GREAT MEN THESE GUYS ARE, REAL FABRIC OF THIS SUBJECT.
Appreciated the discussion. Learned a lot!
Looking forwards to this bad boy! Two of my three favourite channels collab again!
Excellent job gentlemen... Thank you for the great show.
TY MICHAEL!
@@MikeyScarsNOEXCUSES I think you guys you guys always bring good shows and good stories everytime I get to notification Bell I definitely will keep pressing the like button and the subscribe all Bell
Excellent discussion! Thank you all for posting.
Holy jeez I wanna see the pictures that Micheal speaks about. The 3 pictures unreleased of D’Aquilla
That truly was epic. I've viewed hundreds of hours of mob documentaries, podcast, interviews and every other form or way of dissemination of Mafiology and this channel is in the top 1 percent and this particular episode was the best. So refreshing to hear new information on the subject not just a couple so called experts or half -assed fugazi wiseguys regurgitating the same well known accepted so called facts and stories. It was so great to listen for close to an hour an a half and hear multiple new names and stories from the real deal. Not just a real member but real experts with a very professional, journalistic approach to providing an as historically accurate account as possible and without adding any ego, exaggerations or any other bullshit to the story. And no disrespect to the man but it was also great to not hear anything about Lucky Luciano. If he was mentioned I must've missed it. Bravo i adio mi Amici, semperi grantiti , siempe' amore'
Glad to have an intelligent listener. Thanks for checking it out.
Greetings from the UK.......... Wishing you all had a Merry Xmas and hope you all have a great New Year... ...from me in Liverpool to all of you in the US and everywhere else your viewers are in the world. Anyway,...... this historical content is so informative and brings up so may people that most of us have never heard of, .....just when i thought i knew everything about cosa nostra history i realize ive only been scratching the surface. Keep it coming
Thanks for checking it out. Great to have a listener in Liverpool.
I enjoyed this one, great history with Michael Di Lenardo.
TY CHUCKY
Great collaboration loved today's show. Hope to see more of this in the future
Note that I misspoke when I said Paolo Palmeri attended the 1928 Cleveland meeting. Buffalo was represented at that meeting by Sam DiCarlo, but Palmeri did help mediate a dispute in Cleveland between Lonardo and Todaro around 1926 and also attended national meetings in Chicago and New York between 1931-32.
I saw all the videos of your channel and you guys gave me a wealth of knowledge of Cosa Nostra pre 1931, information that was totally obsucure to me, so you are forgiven my friend lol
@@Guillermo_Carratero For real bro. I knew some stuff pre 1931, but these guys have opened up a whole new world. I think we can forgive Eric one small slip of the tongue 😂
@@Guillermo_Carratero Thanks a ton!
This was great. Lots of info that is rarely discussed. Thank you!

Very interesting.. Thank you
Thank you Michael for talking about the loss of culture as generations drift from their origins.
Being a first generation American Latino, I can not only speak (tho not in Spanish) to having lost a lot, but can feel it too...
Americanization reaked havoc upon the native indigenous populations as they stripped them of their culture.
You speak the truth my man!! Es la mera verdad

Great History lesson guys keep it going loved it

I thought I knew mob history until I watched this lol, pulling manuscripts and letters, scars and his squad of RJ and the archeologists have breathed new life into the mafia genre
TY
It's a cool dynamic that you guys have going on. Six guys with incredible knowledge of (and the ability to clearly discuss) the history of the mob. Both foreign and domestic. Five who passionately researched, and one who actually lived it and knew the people. I'm a fan.
Thanks for the comment. We appreciate it.
Mike, your very well versed in the history of the life. Can you explain how Anastasia was able to change the name of the family from Mangano? Also, what is the process of getting the family name change, and why is it so seldom? We need some Carniglia brothers stories if possible.
Great job, guys. I'm not well versed in the history pre 1930s mafia. Maybe one of you can help to answer the questions I posted below.
Rj is the man
Black hand thanks for bringing it down to earth
Excellent video
Great show guys from a Mikey scars

You guys need to do something on Joe Sonken's Gold Coast Lounge on Hollywood Beach. No bigger mob hangout in S. Florida from the 50's through the early 90's. And Club Top Draw in N. Bay Village
I LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD YEARS AGO ,ALSO HALLENDALE
Just got around to watching this... Michael, if it's not already in the pipeline, you really really really really need to write a book... For history sake, this is just unbelievable information 🙏
LOL TY KATE
There's not that much money in books any more like in the 90's when Peter Maas wrote Sammy's biography, but I agree that it would br awesome to read Michael's biography

Michael is the Best in this Genre and an Honourable Gentleman!
So valuable to history!
Mike I commented around a month ago about Joe Sonkens on Hollywood, FL. And I just noticed you mentioned living in Hollywood and Hallendale years ago. Lots of history in this area especially Hallendale. Any stories from down here? I'm sure you had to be familiar with Sonkens place. It seemed like the unofficial "All families social club" kind of the way you described Spero's club except, of course all the "civilians" that also patronized the place. I was just a kid in the 70's but my old man sold Joe most his liquor back then. Especially the Cutty Sark. Being Italian the crowd seemed like extended family but I'm sure most the locals just thought that "ya'll was just a bunch of snowbird tourists". Rather than... "youse guys look like a bunch of knock around, Wiseguys from Brooklyn".
I believe what Mikey scars is saying and from me watching this show since day one I really don't think that he's trying to throw anybody under the bus I believe that he's telling people the truth I believe it's tough when he is telling true stories about what he been through and I thank him when people ask him questions that I feel like he doesn't want to answer but he's still answers them I really feel like he's a laid-back relaxed dude now
What are these guys user names on the forum?
First time seeing this interview with @mikey Scars. Awesome to hear him talk about Utica and the Falcones. I still have an aunt alive today that remembers his grandfather. She’s in her mid 90’s. Sharp as a tack though. She remembered him as “Jimmy” which Michael confirmed was Vincenzo’s nickname.
Mike, have you ever been to the 19th hole owned by Christy "Tick" Funari? If so, any stories for your listeners.
LOL I HUNG OUT ON THAT CORNER FOR YEARS
RJ is a true nice guy he did not interupt well none did Michael the chater good shoe fellows
Best information on subject thanks for insight into history
Thanks!
Mike, any blood relation between Anthony Spero ( Bonnano) and Shorty Spero (Colombo)
NO THERE WAS NOT
@@MikeyScarsNOEXCUSES thank you for the response
Thank you all of you
They don't have the honor or the respect that the family had years ago
Now I understand why Michael dileonardo went into the life of cosa nostra
Mikey scars is telling people what he been through back in that time and stuff like that
Mike, I mentioned Dominick Scalo briefly in the past. Legend is, he insulted Carlo Gambino in drunken rage. Did Dom have a brother who fathered a son we all may know? 👀
Who’s this son you speak of?
NOT SURE MY FRIEND
You guys have to come out with more content
Damm who was daquilas contemporary’s/morello/terenova and other ethnic groups

I always thought Frankie Yale, probably a good chance of being a Boss in New York once organisation came about, If Capone hadn't had him took out. The stories of Yale and his crew which included one of the mangano brothers, fighting the Irish mob; guys like "Pegleg" Lonergan in New York, and how an Italian became known as "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn. Interesting story that to me.
Bit like this. Good discussion guys.👍
